Chapter 4: Beacon Acadmey
After I got back to the ship I asked Sarah to put me into cryo stasis so I could sleep for the night and told her to wake me when it was finally time to go to Beacon Acadmey, but it was a rough night I had facing those thugs and even making a friend on a different planet. It was something else this world. It is early in the morning and I was sleeping in the cryo chamber making sure I wasn't tired when I go to Beacon, but while I'm sleeping Sarah decides to wake me up for no reason at all and it pissed me off in a way.
Sarah: Hey wakey, wakey
Lucas: *growl* come on Sarah let me sleep....
Sarah: You realise what time it is?
Lucas: What times is it?
Sarah: Its time.... for you to get your ass up and go to school!
Lucas: Whoa gezzzzz.... oh shit
Sarah: Oh shit indeed get up and start getting your stuff together
*timeskip*
I had put my stuff in a large mililty bag that was in the storage area, I had a picture of my family so I wouldn't forget them, normal casual clothes and shoes so that I dont have to sleep in my armored suit & finally my all music and equipment I need to keep my suit in shape. I was going to exit the ship until Sarah said.
Sarah: Lucas.... I'm coming with you
Lucas: Seriously?!?
Sarah: Please *puppy eyes*
Lucas: *thinking* since when did A.I.'s give us puppy eyes!?
I couldn't resist the puppy eyes so it was only fair for her to go out some where for once.
Lucas: Fine but don't be annoying while we're at Beacon
Sarah: Of course Lucas
I go to the controls to grab Sarah from the computer, I then put Sarah into my helmet where she could see what I'm seeing.
Lucas: *sigh* Alright you ready?
Sarah: Yes let's go, I think you'll make a good impression today
Lucas: Hey I try okay
I went down to the hanger so I could drive the warthog and putted my stuff on the back seat, I then start the engine, I then rev the engine a little to get the feel of the vehicle at hand, Sarah asked why I did that and I responded with.
Lucas: To make sure the engine isn't going to explode
Sarah: What?!
Lucas: Lets go!
I then slash the peddle down and start to drive maximum speed down the mountain, Sarah screamed the whole way down, it was a bumpy ride down the mountain but we finally made it down the it then made our way to Vale I slow down speed as I went past the civilians, they all looked at the vehicle that I was driving and we're curious, I kept driving till I got where the airship for Beacon was.... but when I stopped I saw the ship but no students yet. I saw a Guard at the gates and decided to ask if I was late.
Lucas: Excuse me
Guard: Wha-.....
Lucas: Am I late for ship that goes to Beacon?
Guard: Beacon... oh your student
Lucas: Yes
Guard: Well no has showed up yet... your the first to arrive
Lucas: So I'm early?
Guard: Yes
Lucas: *growl* you little....
Guard: Uh what?
Lucas: Uh sorry I was talking to some else
I then take Sarah out and I speak to her and by speak and I mean I yelled at her for tricking me.
Sarah: You fell for it hehehe
Lucas: Haha very funny asshole
Guard: What is that?
Lucas: She an A.I. a living being made from tissue of a another person
Guard: Oh okay
Lucas: So can I board?
Guard: Oh yes... you may board the airship
I grabbed my bags then headed inside the airship, then I picked a seat to sit on while I waited, but while at it. I had few words to say to Sarah.
Lucas: I... hate... you
Sarah: I know you do
Lucas: ..... *still pissed*
Sarah: You can't stay mad Lucas
Lucas: I'm going to sleep
Sarah: But-
Lucas: *sigh* just let me sleep
*timeskip*
While I was sleeping on the seat, all students of Beacon started to board the ship while I'm still sleeping and once everyone boarded the ship they took off and headed to Beacon, I didn't even know we took off, but while I'm asleep someone decides to pokes me to see if I'm dead, but too bad for them I ain't dead, so I look to see a girl with Yellow long hair bright as the sun looking at me and behind was.... Ruby?
Lucas: Ruby?
Ruby: Hey Lucas
???: Wait how do you know him!?!
Ruby: Umm I kind of met him yesterday
???: Yesterday ha?
Lucas: Hmm.... so who are you?
Yang: I'm Yang, Ruby's sister
Lucas: Sister?
Yang: Yep
Lucas: You people have very strange names
Yang: Yeah we get that a lot
Lucas: So when are we at Beacon?
Ruby: Were here now!
Lucas: Really?
I stand up then walk to the window that's closest to me then see a giant tower, it was amazing. Tower was all fancy and clean, but something about the tower got me curious about it but we were beginning to land on the surface of the school.
Lucas: So this is Beacon.... quite classic buildings huh?
Ruby: Yep... oh this is gonna be some much fun!
Yang: You said it sis!
The airship then landed and everyone started to run freely to the school exploring or even talking to other students at the school, it was quite interesting to see such peace in so many people. It kind of made me smile at the sight of this, it felt nice not fighting the Covenant for a while. I start to walk around the courtyard to get a good idea of the school I'm in right now. But as I do, Ruby & Yang are just being amazed by the school, I didn't get what was so speical but rolled with it.
Ruby & Yang: Wooooooow...
Lucas: What is it?
Yang: Were just admiring the school and magnificent structures around us
Lucas: Well I can't argue with that.... hey listen I'll talk to you guys in a bit okay, I've got to sort of some stuff on my system
Ruby: Okay!
Yang: Hey don't go too far!
Lucas: I won't
I went over to the nearest bench and then sat down relaxing in the sun, while all the students were still talking and yelling and all of the above it was annoying but it's school so I have to suck it up for now, but while I'm relaxing Sarah speaks up to me.
Sarah: Lucas, aren't you going to upgrade your system?
Lucas: Waif you can do that!?! I was just kidding you can actually upgrade the system!?!
Sarah: Yes, do you want me to start now?
Lucas: Umm yeah.... why didn't anyone tell of this
Sarah: Becasue they're dickheads
Lucas: That's true.... *sigh* alright it's to get off my ass and-
I then stopped to see Ruby being yelled at a girl with white hair, a scar on the left of her face and had a white and blue skirt, I wasn't very fond of her yelling at Ruby.
???: What are you doing?!
Ruby: Uh-sorry
???: Sorry?.... do you have any idea of the damage you could have caused?!
Lucas: *thinking* Uh oh trouble
I walk to them and ask what the yelling is about.
Lucas: Hey what's going on here?
???: None of your business!
Ruby: *picking up a box* -uhh...
???: Gimme that!
Lucas: *thinking* Oh god we've got a rich kid here
???: This is Dust mined and purified from the Schnee Quarry
Ruby: -Uhh...
???: What are you brain dead? *sigh* Dust, fire, water, lightening, energy!
Lucas: Hey that's a little bit harsh
???: Shut it robot!
Lucas: Excuse?.... bitch you did not just call me a robot!
???: *growl* I'm done talking to you and as for you!
Ruby: Uhhh-
???: Are you even paying attention
I looked at Ruby and her noise began to twitch a bit, she was about to blow. I saw this and I knew I had to take a step back for this, 1 meter away, the girl with white then noticed me backing off.
???: What!?
Lucas: You might need to step back a bit
Ruby: Uhhhhaaaahhh-chooooo!
As she sneezed an explosion was sparked from those things called Dust or something. The Ice Queen was even more pissed with us.
Weiss: Unbelievable! This is exactly the kind of thing I was talking about!
Ruby: I'm really, really sorry
Weiss: Ugh! you complete dolt! What are you even doing here? Aren't you a little young to be attending Beacon?
Ruby: Well.... I....
Weiss: This isn't your ordinary combat school, it's not just sparing and practice you know! We're here to fight monsters! So watch where your going!
Ruby: Hey I said I was sorry princess
Lucas: Nah she's more of an Ice Queen with cold heart
Weiss: *growl* Why you....
???: It's heiress, actually
A girl with black her start to come into our little talk with ice cold queen her.
???: Weiss Schnee, heiress to the Schnee Dust company, one of the largest producers of energy propellant in the world
Weiss: Finally some recognition!
???: The same company infamous for it's controversial labor forces and questionable business partners
Weiss: What- how dare--!
Ruby: Hehehe
Weiss: The nerve of--!
Lucas: Hmm it's seems like someone's trigger the Ice Queen
Weiss: I'm not an Ice Queen
She then starts walk away while I'm still dying of laughter into. I turn back to see Ruby on the floor and the mysterious girl with black walking away, walk up slowly to Ruby and ask her why she's on the floor.
Lucas: Ruby what are you doing?
Ruby: Sinking into my depression
Lucas: Now come don't be like that. You know you've got me as friend here
Ruby: Hehe that is true *smiles*
Lucas: There you go out that frown upside down and keep smiling
I put my hand out so Ruby could grab it she looked at it for a second and immediately grab my hand then hugged me, no had ever gave me a hug expect a pat on the back or a just a high five, but a hug I never had one.... it felt good for some reason but ignored.
Lucas: Hey Ruby
Ruby: Yeah
Lucas: You know you can let go?
Ruby: I know just 6 more seconds
I waited until she was done, she said 6 seconds we're it turned into a minute, I started to get embarrassed.
Lucas: Ruby please let go
Ruby: Oh... oh I'm so sorry Lucas, I didn't mean-
Lucas: Its fine, your just happy you have a friend in Beacon
Ruby: Yeah *smile*
As we started to walk again Ruby trips over some water and lands on the ground again, I was laughing a bit until a voice spoke.
???: Hey.... you need a hand?
Ruby: Thanks...
Lucas: Hey.... hehe ain't you the guy that threw up on the ship?
All three of us start to walk with each other like we were best friend or something, I was lost in my mind thinking what would happen next at Beacon, I was then pulled out of it when the guy started to talk about motion sickness.
???: All I'm saying is that motion sickness is a much more common problem then people let on
Lucas: Look I'm sorry, Vomit-Boy was the first thing that came to mind
???: Oh yeah what if I called you Crater-Face!?! (he's talking to Ruby)
Ruby: Hey that explosion was an accident!
Jaune: Well the names Jaune Arc! Short, sweet, rolls of the tongue, ladies love it!
Ruby: Do they?
Jaune: They will... well, I hope they will, I mean my mum always says that... never
Ruby: Hehe, so I got this thing
Jaune: Whoa! Is that a scythe!
Ruby: It's also a customizable, high impact velocity sniper rifle
Jaune: A wha-
Ruby: It's also a gun
Jaune: Oh! That's cool!
Lucas: Ha now I'm jelious
Ruby: So what've you got?
Jaune: Oh- uh, I got this sword
Ruby: Oooooooh!
Jaune: Yeah I've got a shield too!
Ruby: So what do they do?
Jaune: Well... the shield gets smaller so... when I get tired of carrying it... I can just.... put it away
Lucas: But wouldn't it weigh the same?
Jaune: Yeah it does
Ruby: Well I'm kind of a dork when it comes to weapons, I guess I did go overboard designing it
Jaune & Lucas: Wait you made that!?!
Ruby: Of course, all students at signal forge their own weapons, didn't you make yours?
Jaune: Its a hand-me-down, my great-great grandfather used it to fight in the war
Ruby: Sounds more like a family heirloom to me, well I like it, not many people have an appreciation for the classics these days
Jaune: Yeah the classics
Lucas: Awww shit
Ruby & Jaune: What?
Lucas: No told me to forge my own weapon, all I've got is an assault rifle, hand-gun and a fucking samurai sword
Sarah: You can always forge one tonight
Lucas: I guess....
Ruby: So why did you help me out back there, in the courtyard?
Jaune: Eh, why not? My mum always says "strangers are just friends you haven't met yet"
Lucas: Hmmm.... hey, where are we going?
Jaune: Oh, I dunno I was following you guys, so do you think there might be a directory?
Ruby: Maybe, now let's go
We all started to run and try to find the buliding, that Ozpin would give a speech or something, lucky for us Sarah spotted the giant doors that were open and told the to go there, when I turned Ruby & Jaune turned with me, but we were finally at the entence of the hall, as we walked in, I saw some many teenagers with weapons and even different clothing to earth.
Jaune: Ha wow
Ruby: You took the words right out my mouth
Lucas: No shit
As we kept walking Yang called to me and Ruby.
Yang: Ruby, Lucas I saved guys a spot
Ruby: Oh hey, I've gotta go! I'll see after the ceremony!
Jaune: Hey wait! Ugh great, where am I supposed to find another nice quirky girl to talk to?
As Jaune to the other side of the hall, me & Ruby stood next Yang, I stayed silent and Ruby on the other hand.
Yang: How's your first day going, little sister?
Ruby: You mean since you ditched me and I exploded!?!
Yang: Yikes. Meltdown already?
Ruby: No I literally exploded a hole in front of the school.... there was some fire and I think some ice
Yang: Are you being sarcastic
Ruby: *scoff* ugh, I wish! I tripped over some crabby girls luggage and then she yell at me and I sneezed and then I exploded! And then she yelled again! And I felt really, really bad and I just wanted her to stop yelling at me!
Weiss: You two!
Lucas: Oh god it's her!
Ruby: Oh god it's happening again!
Weiss: Your lucky we weren't blown off the side of the cliff!
Yang: Oh my god, you really exploded
Ruby: It was an accident, It was an accident! What's this?
Weiss: The Schnee Dust company is not responsible for an injuries or damages sustained while operating a Schnee Dust company product-
I just stopped listening to the Ice Queen and just started a little talk with Yang.
Lucas: So was it Yang?
Yang: Yep that's me
Lucas: Your sis is quite the speed-demon
Yang: You know it, she can run really fast
Lucas: Yeah I saw her in action, the night Roman escaped
Yang: Wait you were there!
Lucas: Yep
Weiss: Read this and don't ever talk to me again
Yang: Look uh.... it sounds like you two got off on the wrong foot! Why don't you start over and try to be friends okay?
Ruby: Yeah, great idea sis!
Lucas: *whispering to Yang* you do realise you made things worse for her
Yang: What am I supposed to do?
Lucas: *whispering* I don't know.... kick her ass
Yang: Why don't you do it?
Lucas: Being beaten up by a girl is worst so I've had experience
Yang: Oh
Lucas: Yeah....
The started to go silent when everyone heard Ozpin himself.
Ozpin: Ahem..... I'll keep this brief, you have traveled here today in search of knowledge, to hone your craft and acquire new skills and when you are finished, you plan to dedicate your life to the protection of the people. But I look amongst you and all I see is wasted energy, in need of purpose, direction, you assume knowledge will free you of this, but your time at this school will prove that knowledge, can carry you so far, it is up to you to take the first step
Goodwitch: You will gather in the ballroom tonight, tomorrow your initiation begins, be ready, you are dismissed
After everyone started to move and talk, I was curious on knowing what was up with Ozpin.
Yang: He seemed kind of off?
Lucas: Yeah it was like he almost wasn't even there
Jaune: I'm natural blonde you know
Lucas: Jaune.... really.... now?
Jaune: What!?!
*timeskip*
It was night and everyone was in the ballroom sleeping for the night, till the next morning, it was now 8:20PM at night and I'm only taking my suit off, while doing so, I put it inside a safe location where no one would find it, once I hyde it, I put my tank top on and put a clean pair of boxers on me and started to talk to the ballroom where everyone was sleeping. When I walked into the ballroom. No recognized me expect for Ruby who knew what I looked like.
Ruby: Lucas!
Lucas: Hey Ruby
I then walk over to her look at what's she's writing. It looks a letter to someone but I'd rather ask then guess.
Lucas: Ruby what are you-
Yang: It's like a big slumber party.... oh hey handsome *wink*
Ruby: Yang that's Lucas
Yang: Wait your Lucas? *blushing*
Lucas: Yes!
Yang: Wow I really didn't expect you to be so handsome
Ruby: Well I can say something Yang?
Yang: Sure
Ruby: I think dad would not approve of all the boys, thought
Yang: I know I do *puurs*
Yang looks over to all of the shirtless boys and just stares at them for a couple of seconds. Until Ruby little writing got her attention.
Yang: What's that?....
Lucas: I was about to ask the same thing before you rudely jumped in a started to talk
Yang: Oh... hehe sorry Lucas
Lucas: Eh it's fine just don't do it again... so what are you writing?
Ruby: A letter back to the gang back at Signal. Promised to tell them all about Beacon and how things are going
Yang: Aww that's so cuuuuute!
Ruby: Shut up *throws a pillow at Yang* I didn't get to take my friends with me to school, it's weird not knowing anyone here!
Yang: What about Jaune? He's... nice, there you go, plus one friend
Lucas: Two actually.... that includes me, that is if you already forgot about me
Yang: What no... hehe I mean friends she's made in Beacon
Lucas: Ahhh, okay now I understand. But Yang is right one plus freind and 100 percent increase *smiles*
Ruby: Pretty sure Wiess as a "negative freind". Back to zero
Yang: There's no such thing as negative friends, you just made one friend and one enemy
Throws another pillow at Yang and then this time one at me as well, I had a lot of questions for that her throwing that at me but I ignored because I'm her friend and friends shouldn't get so angry with each other.
Yang: Look, its only been one day, trust me you've got friends all around you. You just haven't met them yet
I then hear a lighter being lit and I see the girl that wore a bow on top with black hair, she was reading a book with candles showing some light for her to read, Ruby got up and noticed her as well
Lucas: Hey it's her
Yang: You know her?
Lucas: Not really... she kind of saved me and Ruby the argument we had with miss Sunshine and rainbows over there and she even roasted her like damn she was pissed with her
Ruby: Yeah she saw what happened this morning, but left before I could say anything
Yang: Well now is your chance
Ruby: Hey wait! What are you doing!?!
I slapped the front of my face and said to myself.
Lucas: *thinking* This isn't going to end well for any of us
Yang: *sing-song* hellooo! I believe you two may know each other?
???: Aren't you that girl that exploded? And aren't you the guy who jumped in to help her?
Lucas: Umm yeah?
Ruby: Uhh, yeah! My names Ruby, but you can just call me.... crater.... actually just call me Ruby
???: Okay?
Yang: *whispering* what are you doing?
Ruby: I don't know help me!
Yang: So what's your name?
Blake: Blake
Yang: Well Blake, I'm Yang, Ruby's older sister! I like your bow!
Blake: Thanks
Yang: It goes great with your pajamas!
Blake: Right....
Yang: Nice night, don't you think?
Blake: Yes... it's lovely, almost as lovely as this book... that I will continue to read... as soon as you leave
Yang: Yeah, the girl's a lost cause
Lucas: Whats it about?
Blake: Huh *looks at me*
Lucas: Your book. Does it have a name?
Blake: Well it's about a man with two souls, each fighting for control over his body
Yang: Oh yeah.... that's really lovely
Lucas: Oh come on Yang give the girl a chance
Ruby: I love books, Yang used to read to me every night before bed, stories of heroes and monsters... they're one of the reasons I want to become a Huntress
Blake: Why is that? Hoping you'll live happily ever after?
Ruby: Well I'm hoping we all do... as a girl, I wanted to be just like those heroes in the books, some who fought for what was right and protected the people, who couldn't protect them seleves
Blake: That's quite ambitious for a child, unfortunately the real world isn't the same as a fairy tale
Ruby: Well that's why we're here.... to make it better
Yang: Oh I'm so proud of my baby sister! *hugs Ruby*
Ruby: Cut it out!
Ruby & Yang started to fight and I couldn't help but chuckled a bit, it was amusing watching two girls fight it out.
Lucas: *holding laughter*
Blake: Hehe well Ruby & Yang.... it was a pleasure to-
Weiss: What in the world is going on here!?! Don't you realize some of us are trying to sleep!?!
Weiss, Lucas & Yang: Oh not you again!
Ruby: Shhhh! Guys, she's right! People are trying to sleep!
Weiss: Oh now your on my side!
Ruby: I was always on your side!
Yang: Yeah what's your problem with my sister!?! She only trying to be nice!
Weiss: She a hazard to my health
Lucas: Oh will you shut it, Weiss!
Weiss: No you shut it.... um who are you again?
Lucas: This is going to be a long night for everyone!
