1 Chapter 1: The Beginnning of Lucas's Adventure
It was like any other day for me. Flying through space on the Infinity and looking outside my window nothing but space, no skies, no clouds, no sun, just space, I was sleeping in my room like I always do until Captain Lasky called everyone in for mission debrief, so I guessed it was a serious one, everyone went to the debrief room where Lasky was waiting for everyone to show and well the whole crew showed so it meant it was serious, so once everyone surrounded him I finally asked.
Lucas: So what's the mission sir?
Lasky: *sigh* as you know cortana... Master Chief's former A.I. is now activating these Guardians
Lucas: What do they do sir
Lasky: That's what I'm afraid of Spartan, we don't know what they're capable of as right now
???: So basically you want us to stop one of these Guardians from activating?
Lasky: Yes and no Jack
Jack: Then what's the other part of the mission?
Lasky: Jul Mdama is alive
Random Marine: Hey I thought Locke killed that son of a bitch
Lasky: He did... but the Covenant found a way to bring him back and I want to know how they did it
Lucas: So you want us to kill him again?
Lasky: If you get the opportunity yes
Lucas: Where are you sending us?
Lasky: To a halo ring
???: A halo ring, what's The Covenant doing on one of them
Jack: Haven't they learned from the past?
???: Obviously not
Lasky: Thank you Jack & Diana
Diana: Yes sir *jokingly*
Rowland: Which is why you two won't be going
Jack & Diana: What then who's going?
Rowland: He is
Rowland the ships A.I. points to me and I'm shocked that I'm going to be leading the mission.
Jack: You can't be serious?
Diana: Your letting a 15 year old lead an assault!
Lasky: Yes... this kid has a lot of Master Chief in him
Jack: No he doesn't
Lasky: Have you seen I'm in action?
Jack: No
Lasky: Then shut up Jack
Diana: How many missions has he done involving the Covenant?
Lasky: 145 missions
Everyone: What!?
Rowland: He always wants a mission to do so we deliver
Jack: That's bullshit
Lasky: Enough.... Rowland continue
Rowland: Thank you sir, we're sending some of you other Spartans somewhere else on a different mission
Diana: Where are you sending us?
Rowland: Were sending you to Reach
Jack: Reach!?
Diana: Why are going to that dead planet!?
Rowland: The Covenant's keeping us from retrieving a device we left there several years ago and we want you to clear all of them out.... there you have your mission now get to your ships and get going!
Jack: Rude
The first team exit the room, while it left 1 Spartan (Lucas) and 226 Marines waiting for the Rowland and Lasky to tell them the rest of their mission.
Lucas: Okay what's the plan to take down the Covenant sir
Lasky: As you already know everyone, the main priority is to kill Jul Mdama and The Guardian from leaving it
Rowland: That pretty much sums it up
Lasky: So everyone I want to make this clear that Lucas will be leading this attack, if anyone wish to not be apart of this mission say it now
Everyone stayed silent, Lasky & Rowland then knew that everyone was going on this mission.
Lasky: Well It looks like we have a full crew here
Rowland: Yes we do
Lasky: Well then.... you will all be boarding a ship called the August, it's bigger then the Infinity and also it's Captian, Daniel Phillips will be thrilled to have you all on this mission especally you Spartan
Rowland: Okay I think thats all?
Lasky: Yes it is.... alright good luck everyone and come back in one piece
Everyone then laugh at that Lasky's little joke and we started to make our way to the Pelicans so we can bored the August.
*Timeskip*
As I get of the Pelican and start to head for the captain's deck where I would find Phillips, when I got there the Captain turned around with a smile on his face, he the walked up to me to greet me.
Captain Phillips: Welcome to my ship young man, I am Captain Phillips
Lucas: Pleased to meet you sir
Captain Phillips: Like wise...
???: Captain I think you should give me more credit for picking this mature Spartan instead of those other ones
Captain Phillips: Now, now Sarah I'll give you the credit you deserve soon
Sarah: You better.... hmm you quite handsome for a Spartan
Lucas: I'll take that as a compliment
Captain Phillips: So son you ready for the mission at hand?
Lucas: Yes sir!
Captain Phillips: Good... now let's go bag these sons of bitches
Captain Phillips grabs the microphone and informs the crew that they're going through slip space.
Captain Phillips: Everyone prepare for slip space!
As soon as Captain Phillips said that the hyperdrives starts to rev up.
*Timeskip*
It has been a few hours since we had been in slip space I was in the cafeteria eating some stake and cooked vegetables, it was Slient the way I liked it until Captain Phillips arrived.
Captain Phillips: Ah Spartan Lucas
Lucas: Captain!
Captain Phillips: Theres no need for that son..... now sit down and continue eating
I sit down and contiue eating, but while I'm eating the Captain had grabbed is food and sat down next to me and said.
Captain Phillips: This seat taken soldier?
Lucas: No sir
Captain Phillips: Good
He then sits down and starts eating until his attention was drawn to my suit.
Captain Phillips: So....
Lucas: Yes?
Captain Phillips: Why this suit?
Lucas: This?
Captain Phillips: Yes, because it's the same suit as the Master Chief
Lucas: Because he trained me
Captain Phillips: The Chief trained you?
Lucas: Yes
Captain Phillips: Well then.... I'd guess that your going to have crazy ideas when on mission am I wrong?
Lucas: No sir
Captain Phillips: Well good.... we need a little bit of crazy here
Lucas: Sir I couldn't agree more
Sarah: Captain Phillips we have arrived to the ring
Captain Phillips: Ah good we're here, you ready for your mission
Lucas: Yes sir
Captain Phillips: Then let's get going
We both started to walk up to the deck until we saw the Halo ring, it was bigger then the other rings combined.
Lucas: Why is this ring bigger then the rest we've encountered?
Sarah: Because it's a new one brought from the ark
Lucas: The Ark?
Captain Phillips: I thought Master Chief destroyed the Ark
Sarah: Well guess what it repaired it's self and made another Halo ring as well
Captain Phillips: *sigh*
Sarah: Captain there's Covenant ships below the ring
Captain Phillips: Below?
Sarah: Yes
Captain Phillips: Jul Mdama is already here.... Lucas you need to get down there now
Lucas: I thought you'd never ask
Captain Phillips: Keep all eyes on those ships... I don't want the to spot us yet
Sarah: Yes sir
I was in the hanger bay with 10 Marines waiting for our Prowler to pick us up, but the marines were waiting for the Captain to debrief them of the mission.
???: So what do you think this mission going to be like
???: Hope it's not going to be long because I still a baby sister to go back too
???: Don't we all
???: I just miss my wife back on earth
???: OvO
Lucas: Alright quiet messing around!
Everyone: Sir!
Lucas: That's enough that... tell me your names soldiers
Marcel: Marcel reporting for duty sir!
Ryan: Ryan reporting for duty sir!
Arthur: Arthur reporting for duty sir!
Jessie: Jessie reporting for duty sir!
Talia: Talia reporting for duty sir!
Lucas: I am Spartan Lucas 234.... I will be leading you on this mission today
Captain Phillips: Lucas are you being nice to these marines?
Lucas: Yes sir I am
Captain Phillips: Good.... everyone gather up and pay attention, this mission is dangerous, so I want you all to come back in one piece, but the primary target is Jul Mdama, now get going and kill that elite.
Everyone: Yes sir!
We started to get into the Prowler for our mission, when we got in the Marines started to chat again becasue it was going to an hour till we got to our check point, so I thought to myself as well, might as well chat.
Lucas: So Marcel what do you plan to do when we get back to earth?
Marcel: Me?
Lucas: Yeah you
Marcel: Oh well when we get back to earth I'm gonna go find a nice girl and then maybe settle down with her
Lucas: What do you mean?
Marcel: What do I mean... I mean like settle down and have children and see them grow to be the people they want to be, haven't you ever thought of that?
Lucas: I have once
Marcel: Oh let me guess girl turned you down
Lucas: Yep
Marcel: Ah Damn nigga I'm sorry
Lucas: Its fine homie, something's just aint ment to be
Marcel: Hey maybe when we're done here I'll help get a nice girl
Lucas: In your dreams marine hehehe
Jessie: Will you look at that a Spartans laughing
Lucas: What do you mean?
Talia: Your the only Spartan we've seen laugh
Arthur: I he might be the only Spartan that acts normal when he needs
Lucas: Guess I am
Ryan: Hey You know how Lasky said you were a lot like a Master Chief what did he mean by that?
Lucas: Chief trained me back on earth
Everyone: What?
Marcel: How old we're you when you became a Spartan? *worried*
Lucas: 12 why?
Talia: You became a Spartan at that age?!
Ryan: That's insane!
Jessie: I can't believe the UNSC made you a Spartan at 12!
Lucas: It was my choice
Ryan: What?
Lucas: You heard me.... it was my choice
Arthur: So you wanted to become a Spartan?
Lucas: Yes
Talia: Oh....
Lucas: Plus I got trained by the best
Marcel: And who would that be Lucas?
Lucas: Master Chief
Everyone: Master Chief trained you?!
Lucas: Yep so expect some crazy ideas
Arthur: So may I ask?
Lucas: Of course
Arthur: What's with the sword on your back?
Lucas: I got to from a Ninja
Ryan: Shut... up you didn't get it from a ninja!
Lucas: I ain't lying
Pilot: Hey enough you fools *sigh* alright everyone.... we're landing get ready
As the Prowler landed everyone got out and started to do some recon of the area, I went to get high advantage point and while climbing I spotted a Covenant patrol heading our way on foot, so I contact the Marines and inform them.
Lucas: Alright everyone we've got a Covenant patrol heading our way on foot
Arthur: Finally some action
Jessie: Yes I can't wait kick their asses
Marcel: Guys hold on maybe we should take the safe route and kill them silently
Lucas: Marcel's got point, we can't have the Covenant knowing were here yet
Talia: Alright so we wait?
Lucas: Yes.... they'll be soon
*5 minute later*
Everyone was patiently for the patrol to come around the corner and finally they did, one of the grunts were talking about something with one of the Elites.
Grunt: Yeah thats what I heard they want to do with it
Elite: That's insane... Jul Mdama can't do that
Grunt: Well he doesn't want to upset the big guy
Elite: Yeah he's scary
Grunt: No shit
I was above them looking down and I the rest of the Marines waiting on my command, when I got the opportunity I'd grab my sword and cut off one of Elites heads.
Lucas: Alright..... Now!
Marcel: Go, go, go, go!
Everyone starts laying down fire on the patrol, it all ended so quickly, the Covenant were slaughtered by us so quickly and looked at everyone and said.
Lucas: Alright now.... before stopping the Covenant, we have to check if the Guardian is still here
Talia: Were right behind you sir
Lucas: Captain Phillips
Captain Phillips: Give me a status is the Guardian there?
Lucas: No sir it's gone
Captain Phillips: Shit..... alright deal with the Covenant then get back up here
Lucas: Yes sir
Ryan: What's a Guardian?
Lucas: Forerunner super weapons
Everyone: Super weapons!
Lucas: Yep and it was job to make sure it wasn't activated
Jessie: And it was activated
Lucas: Yep.... the only mission we have now is to kill Jul Mdama, so let's start moving!
*timeskip*
As we continued walking up a mountain, we started to here a vkices coming from the other side, I continued climbing up to the top to where the voices we're coming from, when I got to the other side of the mountain I shocked to that there was a whole entire army of Covenant, while I was checking the whole place out the rest of the squad arrived to be terrified of the army in front of them but for me I didn't feel the slightest fear, but it changed when I spotted Jul Mdama.
Lucas: There he is
Jessie: There's who?
I point down the mountain and they see who I am pointing at.
Marcel: Is that....
Lucas: Jul Mdama
Ryan: Shit what are we going to do?
Jessie: Yeah how are we going to kill him while he's sourounded by a whole entire army
Lucas: I don't know but let's get creative here guys
Everyone: How creative?
(Jul Mdama Prov)
Jul Mdama: When we artifact of truth, our true journey will begin and not even those pathetic humans won't be able to stop us!
Everyone: Jul Mdama, Jul Mdama, Jul Mdama!
The cheering was stopped by the noise of something coming down the mountain. I looked up to see a Demon sliding down the mountain of snow, I then realised why they we're hear so I start to run.
(Lucas Prov)
As I slide down the mountain I start to lay down fire onto the Covenant I killed about 20 grunts, 6 Elites & 7 Jackals, but my primary target was him.
Lucas: Jul Mdama!
Random Grunt: Ahhh humans!
Random Elite: *growl*
Jul Mdama: Kill the humans
As Jul Mdama went behind two hunters he got onto one of the dropships and went to his cruiser and the rest of the Covenant fled from the our attack went back but the two Hunters stayed to kill us. This meant bad news for me and the rest of marines.
Marcel: This is bad man... Jul Mdama is getting away!
Lucas: We got to get back onto the August now!
Jessie: Umm remember that there's two Hunters right in front of us!
Lucas: Oh yeah shit
As I said that one of the Hunters hit Me into the trees while the rest of the marines started to shot for the Hunters weakspots and they toke one down but it used most of their ammo to take it down, now they had to deal with the second one, while they shot it, I started to get through the trees and saw one of the Marines we're injured and that left 4 of them trying to kill the last Hunter, but it was time for me to shine and take down this Hunter, I run towards it and jump on top of its back and shot all of my rounds into it's weak points, it tired to shake me off but wasn't sucessful, I shot it till it finally went down. After that I went to the marines.
Lucas: Everyone alright?
Talia: Yeah we're alright
Jessie: How the hell did you take it down?
Marcel: He's a Spartan for godsake man
Ryan: Yeah well he was awesome
Arthur: No shit
Lucas: Okay enough we've got to get back on the August right now!
All Marines: Yes sir
We all started run back to the prowler before Covenant reinforcements came in to kill us. Once we got to the prowler we didn't get into our seats we just flew back to the August to retreat from the enemy forces but when we got into space the August was under-attack from the Covenant super carrier, I landed the prowler in the docking bay then made my way to the captains deck where all the action was happening, when I got there I could see a whole Covenant fleet right in front of my eyes.
Lucas: I've never seen a Covenant fleet this big
Captain Phillips: This fleet is bigger then the one that toke place 6 years ago above Earth
Sarah: Sir what are we going to do?
Captain Phillips: Were going into slip space
Marine: Are you crazy?!
Captain Phillips: We don't have much choice, Sarah prepare to make a random jump into slip space
Sarah: Yes sir
Marine 2: Were all going to die
Lucas: Hey it beats dying to the Covenant
As I looked to the captain he nods and starts to speak through the whole ship, telling the crew of the ship we're about to make a random slip space jump.
Capatin Phillips: Everyone we're about to make a random jump to slip space, hold on tight!
As soon as the captain said that, I went to go hold on to something tight while we started to go into slip space.
Captain Phillips: Hitting slip space in 3, 2, 1!
At the 1 second we go into slip space and barely escape the Covenant super carrier and its massive fleet of ships, as we entered slip space
*Timeskip*
It had been 5 Hours since the fight on the halo ring and we have been slip space making sure no Covenant followed us, but we couldn't stay in slip space forever, so Captain Phillips pulled us out of slip space to see us hovering over a large planet, not knowing where we were
Captain Phillips: Sarah where are we?
Sarah: The solar system is unknown to the data base... maybe we're in outta reach of space, like a universe we haven't been to yet?
Captain Phillips: Maybe
Lucas: May I talk to you for a second in private
Captain Phillips: Of course Lucas
He started to come over to me and we left the deck into his command room, we looked the door then Captain Phillips then waited for me to tell him.
Captain Phillips: So what is it you want to talk about?
Lucas: Sir how many freighters do we have in the ship?
Captain Phillips: We have 10 why?
Lucas: Just wanted to make sure because if the Covenant finds us, we won't be escaping in August again
Captain Phillips: I see your point... so what your saying is we should be prepared and start loading all of our supplies on the freighters?
Lucas: Yes sir if it isn't to much trouble, it's just I don't want the Covenant to get the jump on us when we least expect it
Captain Phillips turns for a second to think about the possibility of the Covenant finding us again, I could tell he was thinking of something but didn't want to tell me, until the Captain made his mind.
Lucas: Sir?
Captain Phillips: *sigh* Lucas have I ever told that this ship has been with the UNSC for generation's, the ship has been through these kind of fights for 90 years
Lucas: 90 years?
Captain Phillips: Its why it's so speical
Lucas: So your saying....
Captain Phillips: If the Covenant find us... I'm staying with the ship, it's captain always goes down with their ship and makes sure the crew is of the ship when it happens
Lucas: I know sir
Captain Phillips: *sigh* okay let's start loading our supplies onto those ships now
Lucas: Yes sir!
*timeskip*
The entire ship started to put all of our suppies, weaponry and vehicles onto the Freighters. While I was lifting the crat I bump into someone.
???: Oi watch what your doing
Lucas: *growl* why don't you watch it?
???: Lucas?
Lucas: Frank?
Frank: Lucas!
Okay quickly this is my best Frank he join the UNSC just like me, but we both wanted to be different soldiers, me I wanted to be a super soldier, while on the other hand Frank wanted to be a marine to fight the good fight in his own way.
Frank: Yo man... where have you been man
Lucas: You know me, saving the universe, fighting the Covenant you know all that kind of stuff
Frank: Man I'm jelious.... I still can't believe you became a Spartan at 12
Lucas: And I can't believe your still the bitch ass nigger you are
Frank: Man fuck you
Lucas: Hahaha
Frank: Fuck you man stop laughin'
Lucas: Okay, okay, gzzzz man you need to lighten up a bit
As I was about make another, joke about Frank until the alert comes on telling us that the Covenant are coming out of Slip Space.
Lucas: Ah shit
Frank: Wait there's no way the Covenant found us that fast!
Lucas: Well It doesn't look like they care, listen I've got to go and report to the Captain
Frank: Go man I'll keep putting shit on the ships
Lucas: Alright see you soon
The Covenant start to fire at the August giving it some heavy damage, the whole crew was in panic when the Covenant fleet came out of nowhere, I saw everyone running and screaming calling for help, there was blood everywhere I saw injured marines and crew members alike, I felt sick to the stomach, I made my way back to the captain's deck to see the Captain Phillips standing up furiously looking at the covenant cruisers stairing the ship down, it was 4 minutes of fire being thrown at us, but suddenly the Covenant stop firing, I then spoke and said.
Lucas: Why have they stopped firing?
Captain Phillips: They're trying to intimidate us to attack
Ryan: Well it's working!
Sarah: Sir what do we do?
Marcel: Sir what's wrong?
The captian slowly sat down on his chair and was thinking, we all stay quiet till the Captain finally spoke.
Captain Phillips: *sigh*
Ryan: Sir?
Captain Phillips: Were abandoning ship
Marcel: What?!
Captain Phillips: They want us to fight back with the fire power we inside the ship
Ryan: So were....
Lucas: Were fucked....
Everyone was silent until the Captain spoke again.
Captain Phillips: Sarah....
Sarah: Yes sir?
Captain Phillips: I want everyone of the ship soon as they can... I want everyone on thsoe freighters now
Ryan: What?
Captain Phillips: Were abandoning ship marines, we've already loaded supplies and weaponry onto the freighters
Marcel: Sir you can't be serious?!
Captain Phillips: Well I am.... Ryan & Marcel I want you two to go down to the hanger bay and ready the freighters for everyone to get on
Ryan: But...
Captain Phillips: No buts... that's an order marine!
Ryan: .... Yes sir!
Ryan & Marcel then left the Captain's deck and only left the 10 crew members inside and then had Lucas, Sarah & Captian Phillips, the Captain looked at Sarah and said.
Captain Phillips: Alright Sarah you know what to do?
Sarah: Yes sir
Sarah went into the systems I told everyone that we were abandoning ship.
Sarah: Its been done
Capatin Phillips: Thank you Sarah, alright everyone listen up.... I still have one more big fuck you to the Covenant
Sarah: And that would be?
Captain Phillips: We nuclear the bastards
Lucas: Sir that's suicidal!
Captain Phillips: Quite... *sigh* Lucas take Sarah with you
Sarah: Sir!
Captain Phillips: That's enough Sarah.... it's time for you two to leave
Sarah: *sigh* yes sir.... good luck
Go To the controls and grab Sarah from the computer, then turned around and started to head for the doors, until the Captain spoke.
Captain Phillips: Spartan!
Lucas: Yes sir?
Captain Phillips: Take care
Lucas: I will and sir..... it's been an honor to be under your command
Captain Phillips: Yes I know..... *sigh* now get on one of those freighters now
I then start to run for the hanger bay where everyone was starting to get loaded on too, mean while the Captain he was watching the cameras and was making sure everyone was of the August before he went to nuke the Covenant.
*timeskip*
Everyone was finally on the freighters and started to takeoff into space, once there was no freighters in the hanger bay, Captain Phillips knew it was his time to shine and nuke the Covenant once and for all, he looks at his souroundings and said.
Captain Phillips: Ah looks like our lucks has ran out girl *sigh* how about we go out with a bang, let's nuke these bastards.
The Captain then armed the nuke and started to fly the August for one of the Covenant Cruisers and as he did, he started flip the middle finger at them and then said his finally words.
Captain Phillips: Fuck youuuuuu!
As all of us looked out the windows of the freighters, we saw the August flying into one of the super carriers and finally the ship blew up and a nuclear cloud started to form in space, all the crew were shocked that Phillips was dead and that he sacrificed himself to save everyone, even though about 4 Covenant Cruisers were I'ver destroyed or damaged, but out of nowhere Covenant reinforcements start to attack the freighters we were all on and my freighter was taking the most damage until all ships were forced into orbit of the planet, I looked out the window to see all freighters starting to I'ver fall or crash down on different sides of the large planet, I go to the deck to see the commander who was stressing.
Lucas: What the hell's going on?
Commander: Well what does it look like we're crashing!
Lucas: Well do something
Commander: We already have Lucas!
As I went to the computer in the center, I plugged Sarah into the system and told her.
Lucas: Sarah please tell you can help?
Sarah was starting do her magic until she stopped and said.
Sarah: We can't escape this Lucas
Lucas: Ah shit.... sir I think we should brace for impact
The commander looked back and saw trees and knew what I meant, I then grab onto something on the ship and I said.
Lucas: Brace for impact!
Random Marine: Ahhhh shit!
As we hit the ground I hit my head on the wall and I then blacked out and at that point everything went blank.
