1 New World?

It was another one of those rainy days, Lincoln just came home from work. It was late at night, he was tired as he to take someone else's shift. He started preparing to go to bed, brushed his teeth and changed his clothes, after which he collapsed on his bed and fell into a deep slumber.

As Lincoln woke up yawning with fatigue apparent in his eyes, he realized he felt a bit chilly and his ever so soft bed was hard and wet. He looked around for a while before suddenly saying in surprise "What the hell, WHY AM IN A CAVE?!!". His eyebrows furrowed, his started analyzing his surroundings, he then realized that the 'cave' he's in was more of a hollow in a mountain than it is a cave. The hollow was empty, he could see a thick forest outside through the exit. He decided to go out and check the surroundings.

Outside the cave was a forest, Lincoln could see all kinds of strange plants around him, one of species he encountered was a gigantic plant that looked like a Venus Flytrap from earth. When he saw the plant he shuddered, the plant looked big enough to eat a human whole, thus he decided to stay as far as he could from it. Lincoln could see a lake not far from where he was so he started walking towards as he felt quite thirsty.

While walking towards the lake Lincoln was thinking of the plant species he encountered, he realized that this was a different world from his as he didn't remember such a dangerous looking plant back on earth. As he thought of this, Lincoln thought of those novels and manga he had read, he remembered them saying 'Status' to get the information about themselves so he decided to try it. "Status", Lincoln yelled and suddenly a game-like panel appeared before him. Lincoln didn't know how to feel about this, the panel in front of him proves that he's in a different world which made him ecstatic , as it's a new life with all kinds of adventures and possibilities. However the information he saw made him startled, it read

When Lincoln saw his race being a dragon and a demon, he didn't know how to feel. On one hand dragons and demons were usually depicted as strong creatures, but in most cases they were also depicted as being 'evil', but since he can't really do anything about it, he decided not to worry too much as his conscience and sentiment were still human after all.

While Lincoln was thinking of all this, he realized he had reached the lake. He bent down trying to get a drink, but then he noticed his reflection on the calm lake water. He had shoulder length red hair and blood red slit eyes, which is different from his previous brown hair and eyes, his face was defined and chiseled with almost no impurities at all. "Damn, I do look quite handsome", Lincoln said while smiling wide. With his looks, Lincoln thought he would probably be able to get any girl he wanted. Lincoln was almost went drooling at the thought of this.

After drinking some water, Lincoln decided to head back to the 'cave' and use it as his home until he explored the rest of the surrounding forest. He got up and started heading back. Inside the cave Lincoln decided to check his skills descriptions and learn about what they do and what they're used for. The descriptions were as follows [Winged low flight], when being used would abruptly grow wings on his back, the wings were made of red scales and looked like a reptilians wings. [Darksight] was a passive skill, it would allow him to see clearly at night. [Dragon Might] was an 'intimidation' type of skill, anything at a lower level than Lincoln would be stunned from fear if used on them. [Drain Essence] drains the targets 'essence' or 'lifeforce'. [Appraise] lets the user identify the stats of the target at a lower level than him. [Dragon Magic] and [Demon Magic] were variants of normal magic, but only being able to be used by Dragons and Demons, respectively.

His classes also gave him special benefits. His dragon class [Red Dragon] gives him an extra point in 'strength' and 'vitality' since Dragons, and Red Dragons in particular where extremely strong physically. His demon class [Stargazer] on the other hand gave him a point in 'intelligence' and 'strength'. The description on the panel also mentioned that the for the dragon class, the power comes from his bloodline, as for the demon class, it apparently gets its power from his 'Host Star'. A stargazers 'Host Star' is connected with him and could essentially be called a part of his body. As long as Lincoln lives his 'Host Star' would live, and if he dies it dies with him'

As Lincoln finished inspecting everything, the sun was already about to set. The sun was slowly fading out of sight while painting the sky in its brilliant red orange color. 'Guess the sun looks the same wherever you go' mused Lincoln.

It got dark pretty quickly, Lincoln decided to sleep in the cave for the night and moving out to explore the surroundings cautiously for he didn't know what kind of dangers where waiting for him. "I'm getting excited already," said Lincoln as he gazed into the night sky.
