SIDNEY IGNORES VINCE

Opening his eyes, Vince listens to hear if anyone was awake, but the house was silent it seems everyone was asleep. Seeking out the washroom, then docking his head inside their mom's room? She was alone, 'Oh Lord, where has Sidney disappeared?'

Looking around, Vince then peeped into the other rooms, but she was not there either. Sitting on the veranda wondering where she could have gone this early?

Vince closes his eyes once again, when he did open his eyes, he was confused for a few minutes before realizing where he was and what was happening.

Immediately he was fully awakened, recalling what had occurred the night before and began quarrying from everyone where was Sidney?

Only to hear them saying she was not home, noticed the breakfast table set but no one was eating only the whispers. Thinking, 'If everyone has just awakened who prepared this big breakfast?'

Vince called Charles to find out if Sidney came home during the night and to come and get him.

Reaching home after eight, entering the room thinking, 'She was there, but she didn't return home.'

Freshening up knowing he had a meeting for nine, feeling as though his head will split open due to the lack of sleep. But this was a big contract and he didn't want to disappoint the manager.

Taking two painkillers, the Doctor had prescribed for Sidney then leave for the office.

After Mr. Philip left, Vince felt the headache coming on strongly, twenty minutes after he started the meeting with the staff members. Halfway through, he asked them to reschedule and left, wanting to know where Sidney was.

But every turn he made was unsuccessful, the same thing the Thursday no one knew where she had disappeared to.

Reaching at her mom's home at six the Friday morning, only to see she had already dressed and was leaving the house.

"Will you just stop for a moment, Sidney?" With her head bent she stood still. "Sidney, where were you yesterday and Wednesday?"

Waiting for a response but none came, "Okay, don't answer me, I don't care, if this is how you want it to be, please go right ahead."

Seeing she didn't hesitate for one moment, as she walks up to the road then stopped a taxi and left.

"God, she is so stubborn and strong-minded, it seems nothing I do is enough." Trying to ignore how he was feeling but he could not help it, he knew she was hurting and he was worried.

Sitting in his office, unable to work as memories keep seeping in and out of his mind. From the very first encounter we had and every day after that.

The day just lingers on and the work keeps piling up on his desk. 'Vince knew she was hurting but what can he do, when she doesn't want his help.

When the day was finally over, he realized she don't discuss her whereabouts with anyone so visiting her family was not helping.

One week later Vince passes by the hall, seeing a new structure erected. This time it was bigger than the structure before.

She had a flat building before, but this structure that is being erected now is two stories and it seems she has intentions of building another story, maybe she has other plans for the business.

Entering the compound thinking she was there, but the contractor said she was not.

Reaching home that evening to hear GP, quarrelling, but from the moment he sees me enter through the door he stops, asking, "Where is Sidney, Vince?"

Explaining to him what has occurred, and no one knows where she is staying, was a difficult task because he didn't want explanations, he wanted answers.

Saturday morning when he woke up, he was told that GP and Charles had gone to visit the Montrose family.

Seeing it was ten-o-clock already and no word came from Charles or GP's, visit. Vince thought GP must have gone to the office, and he should do the same.

Knowing he was supposed to visit the yard and get a report also check the garage to ensure that Carlos had all the vehicles and trucks in working order. Also that Remmy had a few orders to send out.

Sunday, Vince decided to visit the worksite, after hearing the way GP was carrying on. Becoming worried for her and also afraid that GP might collapse seeing the way he was fretting up himself.

755 Reaching the site, walking around admiring the structure but there was a policeman in uniform at the back entrance.

Seeing her sitting at one corner just watching the men work. Vince took a deep breath that desires he had to see her were now quenched, she look so exhausted. Getting closer to her seeing around her eyes were black from the lack of sleep, she looks worn out.

Sitting next to her, holding her hand gently stroking it, glad she didn't push him away, resting his hand over her shoulder as he leans his head to touch her.

Whispering to her, "How long will you continue like this, come home and take some rest then you will return in the evening."

Gently stroking her when she responds to him, "You don't understand, this has been in our family for years, now it is no more. All of our roses will perish if I don't hurry, my family needs me."

Hugging her, understanding exactly what she was saying, wanting with all his heart to do something to help and the pain she is having will go away.

Seeing the tears flowing Vince wipes her face embracing her, "I know, but not eating and sleeping won't cause the work to move any faster. Honey, if you want, I will stay here, and you can go home and rest."

Seeing her shake her head, Vince knew he had to do something to convince her, that she is his responsibility and if anything happens to her he will have to report to GP.
