18 MEETING NATSUME

I think I found my way to the science room finally, my legs hurt, I can't wait to sit down,

I walk into the room and I immediately notice that everyone has eyes on me, including the teacher

Should I be disturbed, I don't really feel comfortable right now

"And what time do you call this young lady?", Said the professor

"Oh um, I seemed to have gotten lost", I replied

And immediately the class started giggling

"Young miss, take your seat, and stay quiet", she said harshly

I sheepishly went over to my seat, and for some reason some of the boys seemed to be staring at me

"Why are they staring?", I think to myself

I see that boy Natsume, I come over and sit next to him, it seemed to be the only seat open any way

I sat down and stayed quiet, but then,

"You are so lazy, your not even 3hours into the school day and you're already falling on yourself", said the boy who sat next to me

I took no notice of him and just thought to be by myself and focus on how I was going to go through this one

The professor who was talking about something about bonding and such, spoke with such a slow and dull voice

I tried my best to keep myself awake, but the desk was cold and was definitely not helping me

I slowly slipped into a light slumber and laid my head on my hands trying to lay my head on somewhere soft

My eyes became heavy out of boredom and before I knew it all sounds faded into blurry vusses

I wasn't all into the dream state but my sleeping mind seemed to have been mixed with that of reality

I slept off for some time

That is until I heard,

"Akira, Akira, AKIRA", he yelled

I woke up with a jolt and saw the mistress standing in front of me with her baton in her hand,

I turn to my sides and people seem to not want to make eye contact with me, the Natsume says

"She asked you a question, Akira", he said while turning to his notebook

"Oh um,...", I stayed quiet because I didn't know what question she asked

"I will assume that for you to doze off this way that you already know everything there is to know about chemical bonding miss Akira", she said

The truth is I do, I may be forgetful sometimes but the science were my alley, I didn't want to contradict to her and also not draw attention to myself, so I kept quiet

She then leaned over to me and struck my table with her rod, I shook a bit cause I was startled

"Would you like to come up and teach the class about chemical bonding sleeping beauty?", She said as she pointed for me to get up and stand in front of the class

At this time I was sort of nervous, I hadn't really made a presentation in front of anyone before, but I knew what to say

I got up and headed towards the front of the class, I looked up at everyone as the mistress gave me a pice of chalk

I turned and took a breath

"Chemical bonding is the forging and or merging of elements valance electrons,

These sort of bonding can broken down to three main types of bonding

Covalent, Ionic and Metallic,

Covalent has to do with sharing of electrons between each other in order to get a stable result

Ionic has to do with the giving off of valence electrons leaving the element with a stable final outer shell

As for metallic, this has to do with the forging of electrons through metal elements to become stable ions, so in a nutshell,

Chemical bonding deals with the sharing, giving and stabilizing of elements by completing their outermost shells"

I dropped the chalk and slowly turned around to face the classroom

They all looked at me like I said absolutely garbage, getting ready for the redicule, hung my head, but then I heard

"Looks like you were listening", said the mistress with a smile

"Take your seat, but I will suggest you stay awake, not everyone knows everything", she said while leading me to my seat

I sat down and took a breath of relief, but then Natsume who was by my side whispered

"Egg head", while he continued writing in his notebook

I didn't get annoyed because I know that boys just like being pesky from time to time

But then he passed a note to me

I opened and read.

"EGG HEAD😛"

I didn't want to start anything so I just stood up and threw the paper away, I got back to my seat and noticed that he was still looking at me

"What?", I said

"You're pretty cute, you know that?", He said while leaning on his arm

I blushed a bit but shook it off

"Thank you Natsume-san, you're looking fine too", I said trying to end the conversation

"Yeah you are pretty hot, but an egghead, hot, but an egg head", he said as he stuck his tongue out at me

"You're just trying to get me annoyed, I would appreciate if you would stop talking to me thank you very much", I said as I faced away from him and continued on my notes

Then one other of the boys thought to tap on my back and ask me a question

"Um hey baby, what did you say chemical bonding was?, just with one word if you will", he asked

"Oh you can just think of sharing" I replied

"Oh, cool thanks", he said as he went back to his seat still looking at me

"Um, glad to help" I said sort of suspiciously

But then I noticed that my note book was gone, I looked just in case it fell on the floor or I knocked underneath my seat, and then with a snap of understanding, I looked over at Natsume aspnd saw him holding a grin on his face as though he knew that I got worried with my notes

"Give it back Natsume", I said gesturing for him to return it

"Ok, I will, on one condition", he said

"It's my note book, what should I give you, to get my notebook back", I said slightly annoyed

He then pointed towards his mouth

"What?, lip balm?", I said sort of confused

"Hehe, you really are an egg head", he said

He then whispered in my ear

"A kiss Akira", he said

I blushed a bit, but because of my annoyance I forced him to give my notebook back by scoffing and turning away from him

I would suppose that he began getting bored and just dropped my book back on my side of the desk

"Thank you", I said as I continue us writing

But I still had that feeling that he was still looking at none, I don't look over with the fear that he would start asking questions.

I was minding my own business but what I didn't know was that a friend of that bully girl back in the hall was sitting right in front us, and she would be the reason why this while school dilemma would become a total nightmare.
