Chapter 10 : Winner Again!

"What a play, Izumi-Chan"

Right after Izumi made that play which got them a point and they are In need of a single point now to win this game

At the other side of the net, Everyone felt frustrated as they got played by Izumi 

Now It's Karasuno's turn to serve which Izumi was about to perform

Izumi had served In this match after Aoba Johsai's timeout where he only did a normal serve so they weren't much alarmed by it but right now 

They were ready to score a point and get the match In their favour

'We won't lose, We won't lose to Kageyama'

Kendaichi was convinced that Kageyama Is a twisted Egoistical person with no return so seeing him playing co-ordinately and not shouting on his teammates was getting him frustrated

Izumi who was up for the serve took six steps back and toss the ball In the air and ran Infront and jump right before the line of court

Yes, He was performing a Jump Serve

Every One on Aoba Johsai's Team saw how he took Six steps back and understood what he was about to do they only felt surprised for a fraction of a second but got ready to receive whatever he throws at them

In the current rotation for Aoba Johsai Kendaichi, Iwaizumi and Oikawa were the one at the back and were ready to receive

Izumi performed his Jump serve which with quite speed and angle went above the net and got towards Kendaichi 

Kendaichi couldn't tell If this serve Is out or not, since playing for so long he could tell that which serve is out and which is not but he was being indecisive with this and ended up receiving It which wasn't easy this ball's rotation wasn't something easy to control as It didn't get up and was about to hit the net Infront of him 

That's when Oikawa who already foreseen this and ran towards the net and made It look like a set towards Kunimi who among all of them didn't seem tired which was obvious because that Is how Kunimi plays he doesn't put extra effort In the match right from the start, but makes up for It by the end when his teammates are tired and right now was the time 

Kunimi got there to spike It 

But Hinata Jumped right Infront of him to block his spike

That's when ball hit the ground 

*phweet*

And Karasuno Won

"Wh-What?"

Kendaichi couldn't tell how they lost since he fell on the ground when he received Izumi's serve 

What happened was that as Oikawa made It look like he was about to set It to Kunimi which he didn't he made a setter dump but what he didn't anticipate was that his actions were In Izumi's Expectations his setter dump got Kill Block and got the last point which karasuno needed

Which they Celebrated for a while, that's when Oikawa and Iwaizumi got whole team to form a line to shake hands

As both team were shaking hands when Izumi held Oikawa's hand he looked at Oikawa for a while as Oikawa wasn't looking at him and staring at the ground

"I'm. . .Sorry,... I know It's too late for that, But I hope you can forgive me"

Izumi who locked eyes with both Oikawa and Iwaizumi said to them

He waited for them to say anything but got nothing from them so he left as he thought they needed time

Kiyoko who was seeing this from the side-lines felt sad which got hidden as soon as It came 

"Thank you so much for coming, It was a great practice match"

"Yeah, I hope we can do this again sometime"

As Takada-Sensei and Head Coach of Aoba Johsai finished their talking they left the building and got on the bus which was from the school for Volleyball Club, At first Takada was surprised to know that someone sponsored their Volleyball Club which got them this Bus

They departed their way towards Karasuno high without any disturbance, On the way Izumi got lot of question about his promotion, his last serve as well, Izumi who doesn't talk much looked much more talkative today

"Hey, Did you see how Great King went for that set in the last play I don't think Onion Head did It deliberately"

Hinata couldn't help but be impressed by Oikawa 

"Well he knows that Izumi-San serves are strong and It's tricky to receive so he bet on Izumi and thought of counter measure"

Kageyama started explaining the last play which everyone listened carefully

Even Tsukishima removed his headsets to listen

"But that ball could've landed anywhere on the court, How did Oikawa knew that It would go to the net"

Tanaka who chimed in and asked the question which almost everyone had

"He didn't knew that It would go there, He just pushed his luck on It, Also Oikawa wasn't the only one who expected Kendaichi to lose, Iwaizumi also saw that coming and ran behind him to receive the loose ball, they both just went to the locations which would be most threatening and It worked, If the ball would've gotten behind him Iwaizumi would have got It but it didn't which made Oikawa get that"

Kageyama explained them how that last play played out though he thinks that was not all he glanced at Izumi

'Did he foresee that, Everyone on Aoba Johsai team were exhausted except for Kunimi he may have deliberately send It to Kendaichi as to score a point and If not then serve tricky enough so he would either score or get in the situation where we would score either way, a complete checkmate'

Kageyama who saw Izumi at his best knows that he may have did this which made It more exciting for him

He was glad that he came to Karasuno
