10 The bad dream

" hey come on don't be too harsh on the girl,she has done wrong to you" added Linda. Betty immediately replied "so someone that makes his or her fellow girl not to sleep at night and you see it as nothing wrong? if she doesn't disturb your sleep, she disturbs mine and I don't think I can allow her this time around" ."look Betty I know she prays during the night but her voice isn't loud, if her voice is loud trust me,I will personally go and meet her and tell her to always reduce her voice while praying,am not trying to side her but am just being fair here, once she doesn't stop us from partying, living my life the way I want it,I don't see anything wrong in what she is doing" added Linda. Betty said " the thing there is I just don't want her sermons and all that,advising us like we are the child of the devil"." allow her is her own energy and strength is consuming, that is her business" Linda replied her. Betty remembered something "she makes me sick with this words she keeps telling us everyday, repent for the kingdom of god is at hand, give your life to Christ, and all things are vanities upon vanities" Betty said giggling. Linda added her own laughing " have you forgotten, fear God "they started laughing. " you see that girl, she doesn't want to enjoy her life now,life is too short, and if that is her choice no problem, but the thing is she should allow those who want to is that so difficult to comprehend ".Linda stopped laughing and said" Betty is okay,just allow the poor girl to be and let's be doing our thing "." please am not holding her ooh, she is the one holding herself" they continued with there cleaning before noon they were done and retired to there bed.

A week later,one cool evening, the two was busy with there novels and waiting for bed time, they wanted to sleep on time, because of the senator's party they don't want to miss. There door was pulled open and Doris entered with her luggage " children of God good evening ooh,remain blessed". Betty never replied,Linda broke the silence "oh Doris you are back already, welcome back to our new room,hope you like it". " by the grace of God, this room is nice,am liking it,it has enough space, God bless you for choosing this room for us" Doris said . "Amen Doris" replied Linda. "why won't she like it,does she have a choice pauper like her" Betty said arrogantly. Linda couldn't bear this insult and said "shut up Betty and please be nice to her even for once,please Doris don't mind her". " sure sister Betty I won't, let God be the judge that is all"added Doris. Betty stared at her arrogantly and said "and He will judge you first nonsense". " Betty!!,what has come over you" Linda shouted. "Please Linda allow me to talk let me tell this sister Mary a piece of my mind, look sister Doris or whether you call yourself, why must it be our room,why not look for any other room of your choice, we have plenty of them,but you still choose this one,okay fine, I won't chase you away but listen attentively, this is a new room and if you want peace to reign,stop preaching all those your sermon, we have heard enough so please stop,allow us to leave our life in fullest since you don't want to live your own, I have said my own" retorted Betty. Linda stared at her saying "are you done?.so this is all you have to say,please sister Doris like I said don't mind her, as far as am concerned we will leave in peace okay". " thank you sister Linda and may god bless you for saying this, as for you Betty,I don't have much to say,but fear God sister Betty, fear god" Doris said and left. Linda faced Betty " really Betty, so this is it,what have you gained from this now ,tell me". " look Linda if you are scared of talking to her,me am not okay,someone needs to let her know her place here" retorted Betty. Linda stared at her" scared of talking to her you say?, Betty you of all people should know me by now that I tell you whatever you did that is wrong without hiding it,but in this case I never saw what she did as wrong, you and I know that even her prayers doesn't disturb us in the night and her preaching her sermon to us,you shouldn't blame her for that,she is doing her job as a child of God and a born again Christian,what you will say is you don't like her naturally and so please don't crucify her again next time " she said and went straight to her bed". Betty gigged " please nobody is crucifying her she is not Jesus". Linda ignored her and lay her head on the pillow.

For the next few months they managed to live peacefully until one morning Doris started again "Repent for the kingdom of God is at hand, leave your sinful ways and give your life to Christ, for all those are vanity upon vanity, Christ died on the cross for us to have an everlasting life, sister Betty please wake up I had a dream about you last night" she said tapping Betty on her shoulder. The tapping was too much that Betty had to wake up" yes yes what is it? you again what do you want from me,I remembered vividly I told you to stop all this your sermon, you are looking for my trouble ooh". " calm down sister Betty I mean no harm ,I only had a very bad dream about you let's pray"...
