12 "In between love and infatuation"

[Abi's POV]

Holy Cow.

Where all these questions came from? No, as a new student, I can't lose my face in front of the whole class. I will try my best to attempt it no matter what never leave your sheets or shits black and white. Oh Lord, please help me to fill this shitty paper. I inhaled and exhaled, continue to write my paper and just for a while looked around. Everybody is damn serious.

I was trying to observe everyone's behavior and was analyzing their minds. What probably they are thinking. First, Richa pretending to be smart and intellectual but always lose dumb ass chick. Second, Nate concentrating in his own shits I mean his own business. Gianna why she is so worried? It's just a god damn test. Whenever she is worried, she plays with her hair. I am unable to see Blaire and Samantha. Never mind whose next. Tyler, just writing. Lexi is flushing and helping him in answers.

A few moments later, my mind always sneaks around and can sing songs like hell. Sometimes even I murmur a song like "I could fall off today And still steal a famous nigga hoe I'm a young fly nigga fo' sho Okay now put your ass on..." should better not get distracted. Just fill the paper as much you can.

As I was writing and felt a stare but a pitiful stare. Immediately I caught the person. The person Gianna. Her eyes filled with hope, hope to help her in answers. Unfortunately, I can't understand her action and felt sorry for her.

Two hours later.

"Stop. Pens down and hands in the air." Professor commanded and begin collecting the answer sheets.

Finally, I completed my test on time. Thank goodness. I handover my answer Sheet to him with a wide fake smile. I got busy packing my stuff. Somebody patted on my shoulder and I turned around.

"Gianna, you scared the shit out of me," I said in trembling voice.

"Apology for my behavior. Next time I won't repeat this mistake." She drew her brows together in a frown.

"Apology accepted." I gave a delightful smile. "Now say what makes you in a hurry to come back to me," I asked her.

"Nothing, you didn't help me test answer. I asked you many times but all went in vain", She pouted.

"I was not getting your actions so how would I have helped you", I said in guilty.

" Never mind. She is still a kid but a grown-up kid with a childish attitude", Blaire laughed and stand next to me.

I puff.

"Let's go", I motioned to the door.

As we reach the door. Tyler appeared in front of us. He gave me a smile and just simply asked me, " How was your test Abi?"

"Good. I attempted every question and can expect good grades", I smiled and sounded confident.

"Same here", He said.

"So we should leave first", I said in hurried to avoid further conversation.

I passed by him.

"Wait."

I turned around. "Yes", I said to him.

"Can I get your number?" He said directly to me. "For future... convenience of study ma... material or other study queries", He instantly added to avoid misinterpretation.

" I.."

"No", Blaire interrupted. "I mean we are getting late for home. I think we should leave first", Blaire said.

She grabbed my hand and made our way back to the premises. I didn't dare to around to watch the face of Tyler. He might be furious because of the misbehavior of Blaire.

"You should stop getting intimate with Tyler Morrison", Blaire said worriedly. " He has a huge female fan followings don't become an eyesore for them", She said in concern.

"Yeap", I nodded. "One Richa is enough. I don't want more troublesome", I assured her.

" Abi", The familiar voice called me.

I Turned and said, "Nate... Hi", I made a gesture for it.

" Are you free tonight?" He asked.

"Yes", I said quickly without any hesitation.

" Can I talk to you on the text", He said.

"Yeah, we can have a talk on the text", I made a sarcasm.

" Cool. Talk to you tonight babe", He said and ran.

"What so important he wants to talk about?" Samantha asked curiously.

"Don't know", I said in a carefree manner.

Finally, reached home. So tired. I just want to lay on the bed and do nothing just relax and relax. Sometimes I feel so exhausted from college that my inner laziness screams and asks me not to study today. Let me check my WhatsApp. There is no text from Nate. Let it be I will take a shower and sit for study.

According to me, showers can be treated as the best medicine to shove lazy bones. he he he... Now time to study.

It's been an hour but I can't concentrate on my study in between that I had checked more than ten times my WhatsApp. Still no sign of text like Hi, hello... no nothing.

A few minutes later, ding...

" Hi Abi", A text from Nate.

Abi relax and text him don't show your eagerness to him. Just say, "Hello Nate".

" What you doing?"

"Nothing much just studying📖".

"I hope I didn't disturb you😀"

"No, not at all. What you are doing?"

"Getting ready to party hard".

" Okay. Nate can I ask you something".

"Yes sure".

" Why you always party? Don't you get bored and tired doing the same thing every night 🌟 and hanging with the same people"?

"Nah. I don't. It's good for me to party and keep myself busy. As an only child, I have no one to talk and my parents are always busy with their own respective professions".

" Okay, I got it you are a party animal😸".

"Yeah... haven't you heard an apple a day keeps 💉 away. Same goes with me A party every night keeps stress away.😄".

" And you invented this idiom like an idiot 😄"

"Yes, now you got my point".

" BTW you were about to talk something important to me right".

"Oh yes, Abi I just want to ask you for a meetup in the cafe".

" Why?"

"Okay let me put this straight. Abi I like you. Will you accept my invitation".

Nate likes me. Woah is he asking me for a date like an official date? What should I do? Let me ask him something.

" Like? Can you define like?"

It is good to act dumb.

"I like you in every way".

" You like me in every way but in what way"?

"I... I know only one thing I like 😍you that's it no matter whether you're wrong or right. So.."

"Soo..what".

" Abi do you also like me the way I like you".

What should I say to him? Even I like him but never expected it will be so early.

"Abi are you there".

" Yes".

"Please answer me".

" I also feel the same way about you".

"Wow 😮 That's great. So tomorrow will meet at the cafe near the college. It will be our date".

" Date like an official date".

"I... I mean yes if you don't mind".

" Okay. I will meet you after college".

"See you tomorrow beautiful 😘".

Sigh. Nate likes me. I appreciate his honesty but somehow I am still not convinced. But I love him a lot. I should be happy that he likes me and it will be our first date. However, there is something in-between love and infatuation I am still confused.

Does Nate is feeling confused like me? He said like not love. I am confused about everything like Nate and Tyler Morrison. Tyler, there is something about him which Blaire is hiding from me and not splitting the beans.
