5 the bet for the mission (revise version)

Helios enters the hospital room of where his parents were confined. He saw his sister sitting beside their mum hospital bed.

"Rose Mary, where's grandma and grandpa?" Helios asked.

"They went home to get some supplies for our stay here," she replied.

Helios sat down in the chair and watched his mum, still recovering from her injuries, while his dad was still unconscious.

"I'm gonna go out for a bit,

"I won't take long, I'll be leaving these foods to you," said Helios.

"Mmkay," Rose Mary replied.

Helios went out of the Hospital and went to a nearby park. It was already evening, and most people already left for dinner. Helios sat on the furthest bench near the woods, deep within the park, and he closed his eyes and taps to his consciousness like he did before.

When his eyes opened, he was now inside the door once again, but this time it was open, and he saw that the plain wooden door now had cracks in it. As he entered the door inside his consciousness, he once again entered the Realm of Inheritance.

He went to the boulder where Wukong's statue was erected. This time it was another pose, as if he was laughing. Helios touched the statue and it cracked open to reveal Wukong.

Sun Wukong stretched his joints first then asked Helios,

"So, what brings you here Helios?" Wukong said in a calm gentle voice.

"It's about my dad,

"He's in a coma," Helios paused for a moment while Wukong stared at him waiting for the continuation.

"I know it has nothing to do with you Mr. Wukong, sir; but,

"Do you think you can help me with my dad's recover?

"A-Any help will do,

"Please," Helios asked him earnestly.

Wukong took a deep breath and stood up, then said,

"Hold on…" then he reached for something in his pocket,

"Ahh… here it is,"

He took out a red-coloured pill and gave it to Helios and said,

"This should help your dad wake up and recover,"

"Woah!? So he's in the Matrix?" Helios blurted out,

Wukong flicks Helios' forehead and says,

"Very funny Neo,

"This pill is called the 'Phoenix blood' since your parents are mortals you need to dilute that with a gallon of water, or else that'll kill them," Wukong explained.

"So is this some kind of reviving pill?"

"No, not really, it just removes any negative status effects and debuffs from someone and restores them to their normal condition,"

"So why is it deadly at full dose then?"

"This pill comes from another world, and in that dimension, people there have different physiology and can take way more toxicity levels than the body you're in right now, little girl," Wukong explained.

"Oh, I see..

"T-Thank you Mr. Wukong, sir… I dunno how can I repay yo—

"Wait, who you calling little girl!?"

"Oh, right, sorry, 'BOY'," Wukong said mimicking Kratos' voice.

"Anyway,

"If you could master the cultivation of that Cosmic Energy, that would be enough for me,

"Just make sure you don't die like the previous monks who overdid it, okay?"

After hearing that from Wukong, Helios happily thanked him once more, as he bowed his head out of gratitude for the Great Sage Wukong.

While Helios was about to leave Wukong called him once more,

"Hey, buddy!

"Yes, I almost forgot to give you this,"

Helios hurriedly went back to him, and Wukong continued,

"For the time being, since you are still figuring out what the Cosmic Energy cultivation can do, you're gonna have a pretty lousy offense against the ability users in your world,"

Then Wukong gave him a strange bracelet.

"So I'll give you this bracelet, to compensate for your weak offense right now,

"This here's a Memory Weapon, that can only be used by binding your blood with it,

"Initially, it stores two forms right now,

"The staff and the sword form,

"But overtime, as you learn how to use that, you can store any physical weapon as long as you learn its mechanics, how it's made, and intricacies and stuff,

"Learn? Can't you just teach me how to use it properly?"

"Enough chit-chat! I just stole that from a group of bandits in another realm,

"Even I don't know how to use that properly! Ha ha ha ha!"

'I don't know if Wukong is actually a great sage, or just a really good conman.' Helios thought to himself.

"You can try binding it right now,"

After hearing the explanation Helios was excited and tried on the Bracelet. It was a very spacious loop and seemed liked would easily fall off his arm.

"Can this weapon be used even without binding it by blood?"

"Nope, it initially requires blood to register its owner,"

"But how do I do that, I'm scared to shed my own blood!" Helios complained,

"Say BIND ME!" Wukong said to Helios' face.

Helios was startled so he blurted out the words, "O-Okay.. BIND ME!"

Then the bracelet glowed in a golden aura, as sparks and magical sparkly stuff floated around Helios and he was amazed by the awesome view! And when the glowy stuff was about to reach climax, it suddenly faded and Helios felt his phone vibrating.

He curiously opened his smartphone, and lo and behold, he saw a notification saying,

"My Magic Memory Bracelet Fifth Edition! App successfully installed!"

Helios was frustrated seeing this familiar set up again, so he opened up the app and he was greeted a long list of paragraphs and texts,

"Mr. Wukong, sir! What is this!?"

"Oh, that? It's the terms and conditions,

"You can skip it like I always do, oh ho ho ho ho!"

But Helios was hesitant, since this isn't one of those games he would install, and instead just skimmed through a bit.

"Mr. Wukong, sir! What's this line that says, 'The Developers of this bracelet is not responsible for any death resulting from misuse of the said item'?"

"DUH! Of course, it's a weapon, you can kill yourself if you use it like a buffoon!"

Helios sighed and kept reading until he immediately reached the bottom and clicked accept.

"So what happens now?" he asked, as suddenly the bracelet shrinks to fit his forearm, then out comes three needles from within as Helios screamed loudly when it punctures him.

As his blood poured over the bracelet, it glowed out with a blur light and on his phone app a notification displayed, "Product registered to Mr. Helios Black, Magic Memory Bracelet Fifth Edition Full Version has been successfully activated. Thank you and enjoy!"

"Seriously, where do you get these things!?

"And why do they all have their apps!?" Helios blurted.

"Shush now, don't fuss about such small details,

"Cultivate much faster kid!" Wukong said as he pats Helios's head then messes his hair before summoning the Jingu Bang then uses it to push Helios back to the door and waking him up from his meditative consciousness.

Upon opening his eyes he now noticed that there was an Obsidian-coloured bracelet on his right hand while his left hand was holding a Red Gel Pill.
