Kain’s little sister has been sick for years. The only thing that he thought would heal his little sister is a silver case, an enigmatic case containing the advanced technology from the mega corporations during the old empire golden age. After working for 4 year at a mining company he’s finally have the money to buy the case. He then went to the planet of Rayleh to buy the case but bandits immediately stole the case! And a surprise freak atmospheric storm prevents him from leaving the planet but thankfully he meets with the self-proclaimed hero, who’s actually a hunter, people that’s hunts those cases for money. Having no money and trapped on the planet, Kain reluctantly became a hunter himself to retrieve the case…
When I leave johnny to fight the Tegoths I haven't thought much. But as I ran a feeling of guilt started to swell inside of me. I just left someone to die, that feeling will never left me. but I need to save my sister. The path then spilt into an intersection. There's a sign on the celling that tells people what room is ahead. The exit is to the north. And from here I could hear people voices from there. I'm sure that's the people that joined the frontal attack. But to the east there's a sign that says that the security center is over there. Saving my sister or saving johnny who's I just left to die. Johnny who helped ever since I'm trapped in Rayleh.
"I hope I can help people despite my conditions…" I thought of those words of my sister who despite having something that prevent her from doing what she wanted, she still wants to help other people.
Can I even abandon Johnny like that? What would she'll do if she knew her brother is abandoning someone who helped him like that? I'm not a hero like in those comics that she likes to read. I'm just a normal electrician that is roped into something that is clearly above his paygrade.
"Geehhh!! Screw this!!"
I then ran towards my next destination. It is my responsibility that I fell into this situation and I can't just abandon Johnny like that! My lil' sis would grill me if I did something like that!
It was hard trying to find the security room. I thought it'll be easy since there's sign that says which room is which but some of the signs has long deteriorated, which makes me need to look on almost every room for it, and since there's a lot of computers and machinery almost every room looks the same to me. but thankfully there's a room that shows the security camera live feed on the room where I left Johnny to the Tegoths. I immediately fiddled with the console and to activate the security turret system.
{Targeting IFF offline}
Tch, if I activated it'll probably shoots indiscriminately.
{>Restore IFF from backup data}
{chose which backup data to restore
>Scientist extermination
>Intruder extermination
>Test subject extermination}
I ignored the other choices and instantly typed the test subject extermination. It'll make the security turret to only target the Tegoth, Probably. Are they even a test subject at this facility? I don't know but it's my only choice seeing the other two choices are something that is clearly not of what I'm looking for
{backup data is corrupt}
Shit, this is useless. Desperate times calls for desperate measure.
{Engage manual targeting system}
{syntax error}
This is bad, But I got this. There's a jamming device that blocks these kinds of access on the hardware. It disabled some of the commands that's available to the user. I guess it's that so nobody could misuse some of the system. I immediately tinkered the computer. I get down and opened the casing. There! The hardware security terminal! I immediately pulled the pocket terminal that I got from the hunter starter kit. I pulled the sticker that protected the terminal and connected the pocket terminal to the computer and proceeded to crack the security system.
[YOU'RE GOING TO JAILBREAK THE HARDWARE. KRAKEN INC. IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE LOSS OF THE WARRANTY OF THE JAILBREAKED HARDWARE AND FUTURE UNFORSEEN REPERCUSSION ON THE HARDWARE. PLEASE TYPE IN "CONFRIM" IF YOU WISH TO PROCEED]
[>CONFRIM]
[PLEASE WAIT WARMLY, PROCESSING JAILBREAK SEQUENCE]
Tch. Is this going to take long? I looked over to the monitor and saw johnny. Playing the Two Tegoth into killing one of themselves. Seems like he's doing well for himself guess I'm not really needed after all. But then he got swatted by the last Tegoth and crashed into a bunch of computers across the room. I looked back at the terminal and it shows that it's still processing the sequence.
"This piece of shit."
The terminal is still in the middle of the jailbreak sequence. I swear I'll upgrade this terminal as soon I get out of here. I'll never use kraken's junk again after this I swear. In my frustration of the long jailbreak sequence I punched the terminal without any thought.
[JAILBREAK SEQUENCE COMPLETED HAVE A NICE DAY :)]
Oh, I take back my statement. They do work after all. You just need to use little force on them. I immediately disconnected my terminal from the computer and proceeded to activate the manual targeting system.
{Engage manual targeting system}
{Please select which turret}
It immediately show me a numerous amount of turret that I could take control of. But thankfully there's label on the monitor that shows johnny what room it is. I immediately typed in the name of the room.
{Lab No 51 turret No 1α}
{Confirmed. Please aim calmly}
I immediately use the controller on the left side of the console to aim the turret. The Tegoth then Pounced at johnny! Will I make it?! I take my chances and shoot the creature. It stood no chance. Old pre-war turrets are normaly equipped with a special kind of projectiles that could tore down both armored and soft target easily. Though I think I over did it a little?
Nah it's fine. I stopped my bullet storm and johnny then tried to stand up by himself. He used the computers as a holding and stood up. He then gave me a thumbs up.
"Haaa…"
I guess that clear it up for now. I make my way to the room where I left Johnny and made our way out of the facility.
