6 Chapter 4 The Princess

After zipping up the tent, I was going back to sleep until I heard footsteps heading near me next thing I know my tent is being cut open by this man, he decided e needed to yell in my ear "YOU DARE DISRESPECT THE BECKOM KINGDOMS ROYAL PRINCESS", I told him to fuck off and to suck my ass, but by then the princess herself intervene telling the guard to stand down. The princess who appeared to be about 18 - 21 looked like a High School Student to my mind that has been set too 30+ didn't find attractive I guess the age affects the eyes, she asked me If I could help them as they where currently being chased by monsters, they informed me that they where being attacked by a Monster Tamer who controlled some disgusting looking things . In my mind, I was like "Fuck off" but being the responsible man I am I pulled out some more camping equipment and set it up and told them to follow the instructions set it up and let us sleep. I went into my tent and headed to my space, I decided to check out the vault in the back and decided to scroll per se thru some guns to find the best one for so-called "Monsters" I decided to look for high power and most likely illegal I decided on a Rizzini BR110 sawn-off shotgun (28 Gauge) , I locked the vault back up headed out to the front grabbed my Glock 20 (10mm) and picked out a good hand axe to use to collect some firewood. I headed out of the space and noticed the Beckom Kingdoms Princess and guard were nearly finished setting up. I didn't bother to say hey because I already didn't like them, I head to the surrounding trees and decided upon chopping smaller branches after collect 2 armfuls I headed back and started to light the fire in the same spot as last time, but before the fire got too big I went back into my tent zipped it up and headed into the space where I grabbed a six-pack out of the stores mini fridge in the breakroom. I headed out of the space and tent, I all so grabbed an actual axe and went to chop down a tree thanks to this worlds magic and shit my body all so increased in strength so after a couple hits that tree fell, using the hand axe I cleared any extra branches left on and dragged to the fire and sat down awhile all so swing the axe into the tree. I cracked open a cold one are started to remember the time with the boys doing dumbshit. I was 2 cans down when the guard came to sit down they finished making the tent and the princess went to sleep, the guard was on duty but decided to sit down and ask what I was drinking so I threw him a can and told him how to open it, I also told him it was a light beer he apologized for how they first met and how he destroyed hunters tent, after accepting his apology we introduced are self the man was Alery Neoi, he came from a Knights Family that has been sworn to the Kingdoms Royal Family for generations and after countless years of work he made his way up to a Royal Guard, while we where on the topic of life I asked what was going and what the princess was doing out here, he was a bit hesitant but he decided to open up about was going on It appeared that it was a Faction Struggle between Royal's Faction/Knights Faction against the Nobles Faction. The one attacking them was a Monster tamer who served a Marquis who held quite a few major influences across the country to merchants, mercenary groups and etc. They were on there way back from hosting a Holy ritual for the church using a Pure Maiden the Princess. Where the escort squad of 100 Elites and 250 Soldiers from the Kingdoms Royal Army were ambushed and nearly everyone single one killed in Alery's eyes it was a massacre, the Commander of the escort told Alery and 15 other Elites and 20 Soldiers to escape with the Princess and immediately escort her back to the Royal Capital 6 Hours away by horse, but in there attempt to escape everyone died but the Princess and Alery, even the horses wern't spared but after a while they managed to flee by going up rivers and disguising there smell so the monster tamer couldn't trace there smell. In my eyes, it seems liked half killed prey has wondered upon me and with the dog, eyes are staring into my eyes to help them, personal the Monster tamer didn't seem like that big of a deal it was just some guy with some animals ordering them to attack. I don't think even a man controlling beast could survive a shot from a gun, although there was magic in this world I believe sciences will all we's overcome these fairy tales. It was about an hour before down so I threw the last can too Alery and told him to have it as I went back to my tent. It was about 8 am when I woke up sunrise was about 6:15 and Alery was still wide awake standing guard outside her Princess tent, I came out of the tent to a warm welcome by alery or I should just say he said hey and it felt warm. I asked him what time he was heading out and he said he was gonna head out by the time the sun is high in the sky or about 11 to 12 for me I guess, by that time the Princess appeared to have woken up and was getting dressed in the tent back to her normal clothing, she came out to a bow by Alery and a greeting, she also gave me a slight smile and a warm/coldish smile but I guessed it was from the trauma by her near-death experience. I decided to start a fire up from the leftover wood from last night and decided to use some of the meat in the freezer from a hunt a while ago back in the earth. I threw it on a makeshift rack made from some metal and bones. After a couple of minutes, the meat started to sizzle I let it cook using a bit of seasoning from the cabinet in the break room, after about 10 - 15 minutes and put it on a plate and threw some eggs on the makeshift burner and cooked it sunnyside up, I invited Alvery over and told him and princess could have some but he said no but I insisted and he finally accepted after sitting down to eat with the princess I cut the meat and placed 3 slabs on Alverys Plate and 1 Slab on the princess awhile I put 2 eggs on Alverys and one egg on the princess. Awhile we where eating I spoke to the princess and asked if she was okay and she said she was fine but she also said she acted rashly and forgot to introduce herself her name was Jennifer Rose Di (Pronounced Jen-ifer Ro-se D-e Beck-om) Beckom, but due to the thanks of me letting them stay with me she "granted" me the "privilege" to be able to call her Jen. We finished eating and she saw my adventure card and offered to give me a private request which was a bodyguard request all the way to the Royal Capital, I was hesitant but accepted because of the money offered which was an outstanding 35,000,000 Kalibs which was (350,000$ U.S.) by noon we packed up and they where surprised as they where so adrenaline rushed they didn't think I could use a space bag but in reality it was me just opening the space in a bag and throwing stuff in there. We left to the Royal Capital which was about 4 hours away by horse but we had to walk making it about Half a day. We only stopped little and that was to put up 4 drooping tents for the Princess to use for a restroom, by nightfall we made it to the outskirts of the Royal Capital using a secret passage that led directly into the palace we walked for about another hour till we reached the castle, where we promptly went to the current gather of all the important and power holding members of the Royal and Knights faction where located. We were noticed by a guard who went as fast as they could to inform the current meeting that the princess has arrived. We were met by a high ranking officer of the military who knew Alvery and escorted us to the meeting hall.
