WOLVES IN CLASSIC TAILORED SUIT

Jang Daehyun weaved his way through the crowd searching for someone or to be specific, a lady. It was his party but he hasn't even made an appearance yet and that's because he wasn't interested in attending it anyways.

His parents decided to organize the party so they should deal with it, right?

He was planning on staying in the upper room with his icicle friend and just observing everything going on without being noticed probably with a drink at hand. But all his plans came to a halt the minute he heard that she was here.

He couldn't quietly sit and watch other men drool at his woman when he was there. Hell no, he'll tear out their eyeballs if possible.

His heart raged anytime he sees those wolves in classically tailored suits sweeping their lustful gaze all over her sweet, supple skin as if they wanted to rip her clothes off.

Despite being separated from her due to their hectic schedules, he still kept a close watch on her all the time, and finding her whereabouts wasn't a problem for him since she was a public figure.

However, there were some times when her location was concealed from the public for the sake of her privacy but he still got to know about it with his connections.

He had longed for her for a long time, but life doesn't seem to give you want easily. Their communication dropped drastically as if they had never known each other.

She looked happy and jubilant all the time and he felt satisfied that she was pursuing her dream. However, he still felt a tinge of sadness whenever he remembers that he was not part of her happiness at least the one who was making her smile.

He wondered if she ever missed him or at least thought of him during the past years. He was relieved that idols were not allowed to date, if not he don't think he will be able to control himself. His heart will bleed seeing her in the arms of another but luckily the heavens had mercy on him this time.

On sighting his angel, he quickly stood to look at what she was doing. She was helping herself with some french pastries and she seems to be enjoying herself. He giggled a little. He knew she loved sweets a lot.

Back then when they were in middle school he always riled her up but got away with it simply by offering her sweets and she would delightedly accept it forgetting about his mischievousness. He smiled when he remembered his old times with her.

Daehyun walked up to Lee Arin and she seemed not to notice that someone had just taken a seat opposite her as she was busy savoring the taste of the appetizing apple cranberry galette.

He didn't utter a word and just continued to stare at her until she finally raised her head to acknowledge his presence.

She knew someone was watching her and she thought it was those disgusting rich brats and she decided to just ignore him maybe he will walk away when he sees that she was not interested.

The party started a while ago and he wasn't here yet and she was getting listless already. Shouldn't he make an appearance by now? she wondered. So, just to while away the time she decided to have something to eat until he shows up.

She looked at the person in front of her with a strange expression. She couldn't recognize him because of his mask.

Arin was quite terrible at memorizing people's faces and names. She came across thousands of people daily so it makes sense why she doesn't even make an effort to memorize their faces. She only had room in her head for close family and friends.

Besides, it's been more than a year since she last saw him, and not to mention, he was wearing a mask so it wasn't her fault here, or was it?

Daehyun didn't seem bothered by the situation at all. He knew she had a terrible memory so he decided to refresh her mind a little or maybe just tease her.

"Hi Arin" he quietly greeted and she paused her chewing.

It didn't make sense. Firstly, she was here in a mask so no one could recognize her.

Secondly, if anyone managed to recognize her, they'll call her Lili instead because that's her stage name and she has never for once revealed her real name to the public.

Thirdly, the only people who knew her name here were Ara, her father and...

She looked up with a shocked expression with her mouth slightly agape as she finally got to know who the figure in front of her was.

She couldn't utter a single word. She thought she was prepared for this moment but it turns out that she wasn't at all. Her mind went blank and she seemed to have even forgotten her name.

So far, Daehyun found the whole change of expression so cute. At first, she was slightly annoyed then she was shocked when she went into deep thinking and now it seems that her mind has turned blank.

He chuckled lightly and called again "Arin" and then she came back from her shock and she looked down embarrassingly.

Arin was scolding herself inwardly as she didn't know why her mind just blanked out. She tried to find the perfect excuse but she couldn't.

"Arin are you ok?" Daehyun asked worriedly and she looked up. He flashed her a simple smile and her mind calmed down a bit because she knew what treasure lay behind those masks.

"I'm ok Dae, I was just a little shocked" she replied sheepishly and he nodded.

"It's understandable, I gave the same expression too when I found out that you were here," he tried to reassure her.

"Well, how do you know it was me?" she asked. This question has been pondering in her head ever since her brain came back from wherever it went to.

"Unlike someone, I have a good memory and there's no way I couldn't recognize you. You didn't change a bit," he replied half truthfully. He could only recognize her easily because he always kept a close watch on her even though they were far away from each other.

"I'll be on a break for a while so I just decided to pay you a little visit. I know how busy you are these days so I thought that this would be the perfect opportunity" she responded.

"Can we go somewhere else to talk, this place is a little rowdy" Daehyun offered and she agreed immediately.

He helped her with her gown and they both walked together to a quiet and secluded spot.
