MR ICEBERG

In an almost empty hallway, two girls was seen walking with hurried footsteps until they finally got to their first class for the day.

Kiaraa paused her hands on the doorknob. It was so annoying how she could hear their loud voices even standing outside the classroom. She reveled in disgust for quite some time before Yuna gave her a knowing glare which eventually led her into opening the door.

She turned the doorknob, opened the door, and glanced through the class and the whole place became eerily quiet as she swept an empty gaze around them. They all looked at her with expression which she couldn't decipher but the look she gave them was that of nonchalance. Being the only Asian among a bunch of witty American students earned her these gazes.

She grabbed Yuna's hand lightly and quietly walked down to her seat, completely ignoring her classmates who still had their sharp gazes fixated on her.

As soon as she was about to pull out her desk she heard the voice which she dreaded the most,

"Miss Lee can I see you in my office please?"

_______________

The atmosphere seemed cool but looking at the three figures closely one would see the tense fog surrounding each of their demeanor.

One with a stern expression, the other with a cold expression, and finally one with an I-don't-give-a-damn expression.

"Miss Lee" the principal Mrs. Haven started "Do you know the reason I called you?" she spoke again, her gaze became stern. The little patches of white hair on her dark auburn hair gave her a more domineering outlook.

Kiaraa glanced at the principal with her deep amber eyes,

'Is this lady stupid or what? I was in my classroom and then she called me, how am I supposed to know the reason I was summoned?'

But of course, she couldn't voice out her opinions but only buried them in the deepest part of her heart.

She masked the annoying feeling with a polite smile and shook her head. "No Mrs. Haven, I have no idea," she replied and the principal gave a short 'hmm' and glanced at some papers, adjusting her glasses.

"Well the young gentleman here is a new student and since he's from Asia, I thought you could show him around and get him acquainted with the activities around here,"

At the mention of him, Kiaraa quickly stole a side glance at him and she could see his snow-white skin, long lashes, even longer than hers. oh God... she felt really jealous. He had a perfectly sculpted face with a sharp jawline but since he was sitting beside her, she could only see his side profile.

He was giving off a cold and aloof expression and she couldn't help but wonder 'prideful' she thought, 'These western beauties are going to get swayed by him.'

Mrs. Haven threw her a questioning gaze and that's when she realized that she had been quiet for a long time. She quickly composed herself and stuttered "um..... yes ma... but.... um, why me? we may not even be from the same country."

"I know miss Lee but since you're Asian, you two can easily converse and who knows you might even be from the same country. No buts, you two get to class it's getting late," she hit the desk, put on her spectacles, and picked up a file indicating that she was done speaking with the two Asian students.

_______________

Kiaraa took a peek at the living statue beside her and she could feel a wave of anger bubbling inside of her. They had walked from the principal's office and now they were standing at the front of the hallways and he hasn't even said a word.

'What an arrogant dunce' she thought and sneered inwardly. He stared at her with his piercing cold silver eyes and she couldn't help but snort, his gaze became colder and she cleared her throat.

"We're here" she managed to squeeze out from her throat.

She felt like the whole air was suffocating and she glanced at him again,

'Is this iceberg taking all the oxygen here? ' She shook that absurd thought out of her mind and quickly opened the door and immediately they both came into sight, the whole class turned into world war III.

It all started with loud gasps and then a stampede occurred. She could clearly make out every girl fighting each other just so they can get a glimpse of 'Mr. Iceberg' Kiaraa turned to look at him again, her gaze lingered on his side profile but she couldn't get why they were all going crazy.

The girls gathered around him but they couldn't go near him. It's like there was some sort of barrier that kept them at a distance. The living statue just stared at the girls emotionlessly and muttered in a cold voice,

"Move," his voice came out low and his silver locks rested lightly on his head, almost covering every expression his silver eyes had to offer.

The expression he gave left Kiaraa amazed. She quietly watched from the sidelines how the girls formed a two sided wall and the whole situation felt funny to her. She scrunched her neck to look up at him, her petite statue was not helping matters at all.

As if sensing her gaze, Mr iceberg finally looked towards her and gave her a cold glance that in just a matter of few minutes, she had gotten used to.

His silver eyes held no expression in them and she frowned as her gaze narrowed, staring back at him with full intensity to see if she could get even a flash of emotions in them but she momentarily got lost in the endless abyss of his silver eyes.

She felt that those snowy eyes pierced through her soul and she could feel a familiar sensation, but where?

Just then, Yuna walked up to her and whispered "Ummm Sana, what's going on here?" and she snapped out of her thoughts and stared at her.

Yuna threw her a questioning gaze and snapped her fingers as a way of getting her attention and that's when she realized that once again she stared too long.

'Kiaraa what's wrong with you, why do you keep spacing out lately?' she thought to herself.

Well, it didn't last long, she quickly composed herself and whispered back, "He's new" she pointed at Mr iceberg and then continued,

"...ignore them" then she pointed at the girls who were drooling at him. Yuna gave her a gaze full of questions wanting her to explain further but Kiaraa just shrugged and walked off to the teacher.

The teacher seemed lost as she also stared at him.

'Seriously? are all these western brats going to keep drooling over a guy?'

Kiaraa cleared her throat harshly and the teacher snapped out of her daze frowning at Kiaraa with discontentment written all over her face. Kiaraa rolled her eyes inwardly and handed over the files in her hand containing some information about Mr. Iceberg.

She glanced at the teacher one last time as she flipped through the file then turned back and walked to her seat elegantly casting a deep gaze at the girls who were still in their fantasy world.

A slight smirk rose to her lips,

'Things are going to get interesting from now on.'
