Chapter 2

Zhang Lei was blindfolded and taken inside a towering building. Once they stepped into the elevator, Ruan Ming pressed the basement button.

Once Levi sensed the elevator going down he said with annoyance in his voice, "don't tell me I die in the basement"

"I'll make sure it won't hurt," said Mark in efforts to help Levi calm down.

Levi scoffed and a smirk appeared on his lips. He asked, "don't I get a last wish?"

Mark was taken aback by the sudden question. He coughed and then asked, "y-you have something you want to ask of me? I'll try my best to fulfill your death wish."

A smile grew on Levi's lips, he then said, "this is my last day in this world which means I won't be very alive the next day... Don't you think it's a bit unfair to take away my vision and also handcuff me? Take them off Mark. That is my last wish"

Ruan Ming hesitated for a while and then instructed the two men to take off his blindfold and handcuffs. Zhang Lei sighed of relief to be able to see again. He lifted his head and looked at the huge man standing beside him and rolled his eyes, "the first thing I see is this face? God help me"

Just then the elevator doors opened. Before them was a dark room and the lack of light made it seem like the room had no end.

The two men aggressively pushed Levi into the room and stood on his side but this time they maintained a good distance.

Mark turned away not being able to look at this scene and nodded his head.

Levi asked confused, "I-I thought Mark was supposed to carry out the execution? What's going on?"

He got no answers except there were two guns pointed at him.

He looked at the two men standing behind him, there faces expressionless, both of them holding guns in their hands.

"Woah!" Levi was surprised, "you both are going to shoot me?! Dammit! This is the worst death ever"

Mark started walking towards the elevator and stepped into it. He then turned around and nodded his head with a smile.

The same smile resurfaced on Levi's lips almost immediately and then with a swift turn he knocked out the guns out of the men's hands. This happened so fast that the two men were bewildered and before they could process the situation, Zhang Lei grabbed the gun and shot them between their eyes.

"BYE" He said enthusiastically and jumped in the elevator.

Levi and Mark shook hands, "Thanks Man" said Levi, "if it weren't for you helping me out I'd be dead by now"

Mark laughed and said, "or would you? You would've gotten out either way"

"Not to brag but yeah I would" Levi said sarcastically.

Mark turned to look at Levi and said, "Do it"

Levi exhaled sharply and said, "Is it really necessary? I don't want to mess up your pretty face"

Mark closed his eyes, "spare the nose. It's hurts like a b*tch"

"Alright" Levi positioned his fist, "here I go"

He punched him pretty brutally. Mark groaned in pain before wiping the blood off his bruised lip.

"Now get out of here. This bruise is enough to make it look like you ran away. I'll keep you updated Zhang Lei"

"Thanks man. You are the best"

Wang Shu got changed into her pink pajamas and jumped onto her bed.

"I missed you so much" she said huddling up under her warm blanket, "so comfortable"

Her eyes were closing in relaxation just when there was a knock on the door and her eyes shot open.

There was an uneasy feeling in her chest, she got up from her bed and walked towards the door.

"Who is it?" She asked before opening the door. There was no reply but another knock.

Seeing that she wasn't going to get any answer, she grabbed a knife from her kitchen and ran back to the door, hiding the knife behind her.

There was only one thing on her mind, 'Court of knives"
