At best, he was a potential witness. At worst, he was the perp. Either way, he needed to stay off the streets for a while.

He might not be safe in jail if someone thinks he knows too much.

That sudden concern had Jax seeking out the jail commander, Lieutenant Guillermo Morales. He’d put a bug in Gil’s ear to keep Suarez under a close watch. For now, they had plenty of probable cause to hold the guy, as well as reasons to keep him alive until his memory came back or he decided to talk. Jax had his doubts about amnesia, but he did know a severe blow to the head as well as emotional trauma could sometimes cause memory loss. Young Suarez had probably suffered both. 2
