13 [12]Returns

After we put out the fire and killed of the rest of the goblins, we searched the whole place for survivor.

Sadly there weren't any others besides Esdeath. The girl was the only one that had survived, she would have probably been dead if I hadn't interfered.

People of this world rely to much in the falna bestowed upon them by gods.

Magic is probably the main reason since you can do a bunch of bullshit you could do with science without the extra steps.

Flint and steel?

Who need that?

All you need is enough mana or skill related to fire.

Evolution is called upon when happens hardships and sadly enough, magic makes things easier.

No need to go further when you are well enough with what you got.

Anyways I've strayed from the main topic.

After that whole fiasco we buried all the dead bodies and took out material from the monster corpses.

I thought that they would go poof and drop items but I'm guessing that only dungeon monsters do that not overwolrd ones.

After that we came back we placed Esdeath in a private tent while we went back to eat, sadly, no one would have much of an appetite after all that happened.

We all went back to our tents to sleep after a very quiet diner.

[Void Sub-Class has reached 50% mastery, choose new subclass]

As I was about to sleep this little notification popped up.

"Really?, I thought it would be less" I hadn't checked my progress before since I forgot about it but it shouldn't be this much.

[Host already has the basic theoretical knowledge on the subclass thanks to you reading the wiki, that alone makes up about 28% the other 22% is the mastery you have obtained from constantly using gravity aspect of the Sub-Class. You haven't used the Space or time aspect but the knowledge and mastery of gravity has gone this far]

...really?

I'm surprised that the knowledge I read on the sub-classes came In handy.

I've also been constantly using gravity on my sword to make it lighter. Sounds easy but it takes good controll and focus to keep it on while fighting.

I've also used a bit of the time aspect when using Mobius quiver arrows but I dont use it much unless I'm fighting some difficult oponent since it takes up a lot of light.

Wich one should I choose?

Solar is pretty good along with arc but I don't think I need that type of pure firepower right now.

Stasis and Strand should be more flexible since they can be used for more than just attacking.

I could use stasis for slowing down enemies and making objects, Stasis of course isn't just ice.

It's the stoping of movement on microscopic and atomic level, slowing, detaining, and then shattering. Making ice isn't the stasis power, but stoping and removing the heat in the surroundings creating ice from atmospheric humidity.

I could probably stop the kinetic force from a punch with stasis to lessen the punching power or stop shock power coming at me from an explosion.

Stasis is more than just ice, it's the power to stop things. Maybe I could stop time itself once I get a good enough grip on the ability.

Next is strand.

The ability was a bit confusing when I was researching about it online. Some said that it was based on the string theory in Wich all things are created from super super super super small strings gathered up to create all of things.

Like an atom could be a ball of yarn. Yes it's made out of a rope shaped yarn but in the end it's a ball because that's what the yarn shaped out to be togheter.

But that's not what strand truly is.

Strand is the mental/psychic connection between all things and minds in the universe. And once the energy is concentrated enough, the physical manifestation is bunch of green strings, thus called strand.

And besides weaving the psychic into time and weapons, you could also do other things like connection to others mind and taking to them. Everything is connected through these strings, so what's stoping me from connection to others and reading their minds and controlling them.

This ability might not have been shown in game but it's something I could definitely do with Strand.

Also, remember when I said that strand connects all 'things' and minds.

Emphasis on the 'things'

I could probably read the leftover psychic energy left behind in an item or leave behind my own messages embedded in items of my own choosing.

By embedding my will into Strand enrgy I could create different effects on things.

Kind of like Frozen were Elsa could see memories of the last through water, water might not be a living thing but the water passes through places were people live thus picking up the psychic energy left in the atmosphere. The water goes through all these places picking up the human psychic energy and creating their own consciousness.

Like how the wind could also interact with people in frozen. The air developed a consciousness due to the constant collection of psychic energy left in the air by humans. Emotions, memories, and experiences left behind by people made them.

Of course I'm not suggesting that this is how the water and wind from frozen could do these things. But if strand existed there, this would definitely be one for my theories on how inanimate object obtain Sentience.

"But which one to chose?"was tue true question.

It's a hard decision but I think I know Which one to choose.

"I chose Stasis"

[Confirmed, bestowing Stasis]

As my system said those words, a sudden energy entered my body. It felt weird, not bad weird but... Weird.

I can only guess that it's darkness, the opposite of light in destiny and the thing we're stasis and Strand original originates from. Just how arc, solar, and void are originated from light.

The energy continued to flow through me untill a blue glow covered my body Wich died down eventually.

"Hm let's test it out" I stretched out my hand and imagined stoping the heat surrounding my hand. Eventually the temperature started to drop down around my hand creating a ice axe.

I stoped the ability causing the ice to melt after a few minutes.

"For the next test" I quickly got into a boxing position and punching and jabing the air. Each punch I made was sharp and precise and with my strong physique each blow created a gust of wind.

"Now!" I performed my final punch but this time

*Woosh*

The power behind it was more devastating than my other punches, the punch alone almost blew my tent away.

You might be confused as to what I did but I'll explain.

Like I said, Stasis isn't only stoping but also slowing down.

All I did was slow down the kinetic energy inside my body that was generated through my punches. I continued punching, creating more and more kinetic energy and released it in one go.

Basically, I slowed down the built up kinetic energy inside my body to the point that it was almost stoping and disappearing and then released it in one punch by releasing it to normal speed that it should have moved in.

Of course I didn't punch with all my strength otherwise the built up energy would have been way more powerful l.

Heh, maybe I could even perform the divergent fist from Jujutsu Kaiser.

Hehehe what a good way to end the night.
