104 Who Are You?

After the words of this bearded man, I decided to listen to my feelings. I wanted to see if there were any Kaiju around. Diving under the water, I began to concentrate and try to feel the Kaiju in Antarctica.

'What's going on here?' What I felt shocked me. It was as if all the monsters were hiding while I was healthy and strong, but as soon as I fell asleep, they all came to the surface, wreaking havoc and destruction.

I sensed not only Kaiju in Antarctica, but also many clones in both Africa and South America! There were a lot of them. More than 10 on every continent. Even the Kaiju was a few. And these Kaiju were strong and large as I could feel them at such a distance.

'I was just a little distracted and this is what it led to! What should I do next? Sail to Africa first to destroy the clones, or sail to Antarctica?' I couldn't decide where to sail. I couldn't believe that people accidentally released so many clones - it must be specifically to fight the so-called White Thorns.

Since humans released the clones themselves, they should have everything under control. This means that the biggest threat is the Kaiju. If the Kaiju are breeding in Antarctica, then I need to go there immediately. The longer I delay, the more Kaiju will appear there.

'OK! Let's go get some meat for dinner!' Going back to the island was just a waste of time. Antarctica is not that far from where I am now.

While I was sailing there, I wondered if I should still get more information from the people. I suffered several times because I was not ready, but on the other hand, why should I ask people what I should do? It's careless of me, but what can people tell me? If they could destroy the enemy, they would, and no matter what information they gave me, I would still have to fight myself.

I suspect the Kaiju are hiding under the ice so humans can't get there. Jaegers in this case will be useless. It is too dangerous for them to go under the water and under the ice of Antarctica. I have to admit that the aliens have found the perfect place to make their nest.

But it doesn't matter to me. I have enough energy to burn cities, so I can drive them out from under the ice.

'Why did I have a dream in which many white, small Kaiju attack from the ocean? I've never had prophetic dreams, so it's unlikely. Most likely, eating the Kaiju mutated my brain and I could somehow subconsciously sense what the aliens wanted. Because I don't know how to use it, or it's such a weak ability that it was only able to manifest itself through sleep.'

I slowly sailed south, skirting Australia. Nothing has changed here, and I did not see any traces of the war. The cities were whole and undamaged. Many small ships sailed everywhere. Sometimes I saw large cargo ships carrying so much cargo that I wondered why they didn't sink. I am surprised every time I see them. These ships were large enough to ignore the waves I created as I sailed.

A day later I approached Antarctica. It got colder and colder with each hour of sailing until I came upon icebergs drifting in the ocean. The water here was choppy. The sun was hiding behind gray clouds, and the wind was constantly raising high waves.

'I was unlucky with the weather!'

After diving, I swam to the bottom. Then I swam along the bottom of the ocean. There was already a thick layer of ice above my head and it was getting very dark. I guess the ice above me was thick enough to keep out the light. And the further I swam, the thicker the ice became.

My eyesight was good in the dark, but I still had to concentrate to see anything. I swam until I ran into a wall of ice. All around me was ice. I didn't see the fish either. And there was no underwater crab or anything like that. The ocean was dead!

'Damn Kaiju! How can I restore it?' I felt sad when I realized that these monsters ate everything to reproduce. Even I couldn't fix that. Perhaps after many decades fish will come here from the northern regions of the ocean, but now there was not even anything to eat here.

I could sense several large Kaiju far beyond the wall of ice. I had to find some kind of cave to get there, I guess…Icebergs and different caves were everywhere. It was a labyrinth in which I wandered for several hours, but never found a passage into the depths of the continent.

'Why am I looking for an entrance!? I can make one for myself.' Raising my head up, I let out my fiery breath on the ice ceiling.

RRRRAAAHHHHH

My beam didn't turn blue and hotter after sleeping. But my old gold flame was hot enough to blow a huge hole in 1 km thick ice. As I finished letting the fire out, sunlight began to pour through the hole I had made in the ceiling. I was standing in the middle of a circular pillar of light and it was quite beautiful.

Rising to the surface, I breathed in the cold air and walked deep into the continent. The ice cracked and crunched under my feet. Because I was wet, the water on me froze and cracked as I moved my body.

'How did Ghidorah manage to freeze here?' As I walked, I remembered how Ghidorah had been found frozen in Antarctica. It was strange how a creature with such super regeneration and which did not need oxygen to live, froze. He knew how to fly in space, and it is much colder there than here.

'I guess he was just stupid!'

The Kaiju were getting closer and closer. I got so far that the sun was no longer in the sky and it didn't feel like a normal night. Most likely, it was winter here now, and there will be no sun in this place for half a year.

I finally got where I wanted to go. Right below me I could feel the 4 Kaiju. There was 2 km of ice between us.

"I hope it will be a surprise for them. Although they must have heard my footsteps a long time ago.' Taking as much air as possible into my lungs, I lowered my head to the ground and opened my mouth.

RROOAAAHHHHH

A stream of fire erupted from my mouth, lighting up the night arctic tundra. The light was strong enough to make even the gray clouds in the sky glow with yellow light. The ice shone through and turned into a halogen lamp. From the place where the fire fell, a column of steam came out, which rose brightly to the clouds.

The hole in the ice quickly grew wider and deeper until I felt the fire shoot through the ice. I felt it through the vibrations of my legs. Expanding the opening a little more, I closed my mouth and channeled the energy inside to warm my body. It was dark under the ice, so I decided to warm myself up so that I would have more light and the ability to create an explosion faster.

When my chest was glowing enough, I bent down. After flying 2 km, I fell into the water and drowned.

As I expected, it was dark here, but not too deep. I very quickly went down and stood with my feet at the bottom of this cave.

Raising my head, I looked around. I was standing in the center of a huge cave. My skin and chest armor glowed enough to see everything around me. Far away in the darkness of the cave I noticed many blue lights. These lights circled around me, but did not come closer. It was the White Thorns. There were so many of them that they occupied the entire space between the floor and the ceiling of the ice cave.

I felt 4 Kaiju approaching me from all sides. I was surrounded, but I didn't panic. Those White Spikes were no threat to me. But the sounds they made annoyed me. They were constantly gnawing on something, and sometimes I could hear the ice cracking. Perhaps they are digging a new hole in the cave.

The Kaiju approached and passed through a swarm of bugs. They were the 4 great Kaiju. They were twice my size, but their arms were thin, and they weren't much different from the little White Thorns. But there were differences. Kaiju had many thin tails, so many that I couldn't count them. There were also more eyes on their white faces. But only one of these 4 Kaiju had a big belly filled with blue eggs.

'It must be the queen!' My guess may or may not be correct. There is no guarantee that the remaining 3 Kaiju didn't lay their eggs somewhere and come here already empty.

KRECK

I took a few steps to get a good look. But the ground under my feet was crackling. I lowered my head and looked at the floor. The entire floor was covered with skeletons of various fish, I even saw whale bones.

'Who are you?'

As I stared at the floor, I felt myself being spoken to in the language of the Titans. I jerked my head up and looked at the Kaiju with the eggs. She was making some noises that were like the sounds of insects from horror movies and I could feel in my heart what she was saying.

'Who are you?' Kaiju asked again.
