The Deer

[] - the language of the Titans

As I waited, I took off my jet pack and laid it on the ground. I may have to wait a few days for everyone to come. They are scattered over several thousand kilometers, so it will take a long time for them to arrive.

[What's your name?] I asked the clone with blue spots. He continued to stand next to me and look at me.

[What's my name?] The clone asked. He probably didn't understand what that meant. All creatures communicated only among themselves, and they were about the same age. They haven't had time to develop enough to understand concepts like names.

[A name is a word by which others call you. What do you want to call yourself?] I wondered what he would call himself. This is the first clone that didn't strike me as reckless.

[I was the Alpha here until you came. I was the biggest and beat others. But I don't know what to call myself. Can you give me a name?]

[Okay, then your name will be Leader. If you were the strongest here, then when I leave, I will leave you to rule the others on this continent. You already know what I want. Don't touch the humans and kill the White Thorns.] I had no desire to fly from continent to continent and take care of clones and demi-titans. Leaving the supervisor is the best solution.

[Thank you. Now I am the Leader.]

After finishing this dialogue, I just lay down on the ground. I closed my eyes and waited. The leader sat not far from me and also waited silently.

A few hours later, the first creatures arrived. And it was a pair of half-titan deer. They were a female and a male. The male had large, beautiful horns that resembled a wide tree. These deer were twice the size of a giraffe, and their muscles were graceful and strong.

These deer were strong and fast. Since they were herbivores, they must have survived by running away from the White Thorns. There were many scars all over their bodies and the male had traces of blue blood on his horns.

The deer kept at a distance and when they noticed that I was looking at them, they slightly bowed their heads in greeting. Noticing this, I just closed my eyes and continued to waiting. I will speak only when everyone is gathered here.

Over the next few days, many creatures gathered around me. Some I paid attention to and others I ignored. But they all waiting quietly and silently. Several clones also came. To my surprise, not all clones came. Only half of them responded to my call. The other half remained in their territories.

Among the demi-titans I spotted a crocodile, a porcupine, a buffalo and one gorilla. They were all scarred. But the chameleon surprised me the most. This creature was the size of a double-decker bus and it looked like a stone. I didn't even notice him until I looked in his direction. It moved slowly and blended in with its surroundings.

When the chameleon approached, it changed its color to green and even the texture of its skin changed to a smoother one. But what I saw in him made me angry. There was red blood around his mouth and some mutilated clothing hanging from his closed mouth. The chameleon looked with his eyes in different directions, surveying everything around.

Noticing red blood around the chameleon's mouth, I was about to get up and crush it, but the Leader beat me to it. Sensing my anger, the leader got to his feet and went to the chameleon. Standing over him, he punched him once, killing him instantly.

The clones and demi-titans shuddered in fear, not understanding what was happening. Herbivores were especially frightened. Even the buffalo wanted to run away when I said: [Stay! What I want to talk to you about is very important.]

If I can change these creatures, it will be beneficial, but I am not so good when I see someone eating people in front of my eyes. When everyone gathers, I will explain everything to them.

After half a day, finally everyone who decided to come was here. The last ones were several normal turtles, one large dog of unknown breed and another clone. A total of 7 clones arrived. Another 4 chose to ignore me. All demi-titans, spiders or insects, did not come. Most likely, they weren't smart enough to understand what was going on.

When they all gathered around me, I finally stood up to my full height. Even lying down, I was taller than most of the creatures here, but when I stood up, they were all nothing compared to me.

[You were created from my blood. And this world you now live in is at war with beings from another world.] Saying this, I looked at them. They listened carefully to me and did not even dare to ask questions.

[You were created from my blood by humans and released here to fight the White Thorns. You have done your job and stopped the enemy from advancing further. Even if you didn't do it with the intention of helping people, you did it anyway. You did well, but what I hate about you is that you also killed people.] As I said the last words, my body temperature rose and my skin began to glow with an orange light.

Yes, I intimidated them. I don't know if it will be effective, but considering that these are animals, I think they will understand the so-called law of the jungle. This law sometimes works among people, although this is a controversial issue. Not only do the strong have power, the smart actually get more out of their lives.

[From now on you will not do anything bad to people. You will not kill them, you will not destroy their buildings, and if you see a person in trouble, you will help them.] That is what I wanted from them. If they couldn't do that, then I didn't need them.

The leader approached me. He looked at me as if asking for permission to speak, and I nodded to him.

[People have metal weapons, and these weapons cause pain. What should we do?] The rest of the creatures nodded in agreement with him. They encountered people who were in tanks and helicopters. All these people were shooting at them.

[Be strong enough to ignore them! If you don't provoke people, they won't shoot you, instead they will protect you. You can protect yourself from stupid people but never cross the line. I need people, you don't understand it yet, but they have the power to kill you. And if I learn from them that you're a troublemaker, people will be the least of your problems.]

Fortunately for them, they agreed with me. There are a few more questions left, and then I'll be out of here.

[Lіder will be supervising you. Your job remains the same. You must kill the White Thorns. Those of you who don't eat meat should just try to survive, and let the rest of you hunt. Soon the White Thorns will flee this continent and return to the ocean. Those of you who can swim, let them pursue them throughout the world, but do not approach the lands where there is much ice until I give you permission to do so.]

After that I said to the Leader: [Take others like you and go and kill the ones who didn't come here.] The Leader nodded to me and went to the other clones to make a group out of them. They had to kill 4 clones as strong as them, so they had to work together to make it easy and quick.

They all started to disperse, but the deer wanted something from me, so they came closer as I put on my jetpack. The male raised his head proudly as he looked at me. His horns stood out against the other creatures, and he exuded an aura of nobility. He stomped his hooves gracefully on the ground, kicking up dust. His female was behind him as they approached.

I looked at them and he asked me: [Why shouldn't we kill people? I was had a flock of five, but now there are only two of us. I could only watch as the White Creatures slaughtered my pack. It happened because people threw us out here!]

He asked a valid question. Everything I said to them should have caused them to ask this question. Only this deer had the courage to ask me. I guess when you have to worry about someone, it makes you do brave things.

[People used to have entire cities die out because of revenge. After killing a person, his relative or friend will come to you and kill you. This is how entire cities died out because they were unable to break this circle. If my word is not enough for you not to touch people, then know that if you continue to kill them, other people will come to you and will not stop until you die.]

[My herd died because of them, I am not afraid of death, and I am not afraid of them!] - answered the deer. When he got angry. He stomped his hoof on the ground and his horns began to glow with blue light. He was indignant at the thought that he should obey men for fear of their revenge.

[It is not fear of them that should stop you, but good will. You will not be able to raise your children in a world where everyone wants each other's blood. When you hurt someone, then you will have no moral right to complain when some one hurt you. As you do to others, so they will do to you. It's only when you're good one that you're entitled to protection.] With that, I proceeded to put on my jet pack. If this deer doesn't understand that, then I can't help him. He has the potential to become something strong, but if he lacks intelligence, he will destroy both himself and his female. And the one who will come for them will be me.

The stag thought for a moment, then nodded his head and silently walked away with his female. They jumped to the north, where there was more greenery. Each of their jumps was impressive. They covered dozens of meters in one easy jump. Even I could feel the ground shaking from their hooves.
