11 Much better!

So, I have the ability to actually make avatars for people to control with abilities from The Gamer. It's called the Sandbox System, it's in the buy value part of the store and costs almost 20,000,000 BV for one activation. It is an insanely powerful ability and has the ability to synchronize with everything in the store. Namely due to the Gamers Body and Gamers Mind aspects. Something to keep note of. But while I can't afford to do that yet, I can, however, do other things. For example, make an Avatar without the Sandbox System, it's called the Hard Light Projection body. Allows me to create humanoid crystal bodies that can be controlled by a player. Costing only 20,000$ per projection. The control method is using the VR System in the GV section and it can be connected to players I specifically. The thing is, I actually get a discount if I get things for other people.

Yeah, I am not joking when I tapped purchase on the Hard Light Projection Body it's price halved, allowing me to buy a millions worth, aka 10. Next up I got to building a training simulator and worked on finishing it rather quickly. The Hard Light Projection Body works similar to a Gamer's body despite its inhuman appearance. It has a damage threshold and if it's threshold is reached it dissipates. But it's strong, fast, can teleport, fire hardlight projectiles, it even has fire suppression tools, shield tech, and a simple construct projector that can form things like bridges, guns, and tools. Perfect for a low level hero. Who is that hero though? Well, introducing Max Payne. No, not the one from the game. That game doesn't exist here, but someone with the same name does. This is the first of nine candidates. I've hacked into his old pc and displayed a pop-up on screen. No, I didn't choose the candidates. I used some Fan Value to find them as I feel like the System would prevent a Megamind situation where I get a person I think is heroic, and they turn bad.

Come on, Mr. Payne, click yes. And he clicked no, let's prompt him, [Are you sure? You could save lives.] He clicked yes! Let's pull him into the training simulator, and now let's hop in ourselves.

Ok, this is both weird and not-weird at the same time, I had made the simulation characters with the same attributes of the avatars to help with training. I am a green construct while my employees are blue constructs, I say blue cause I am actually going to have to pay these people. Mr. Payne here is about to be homeless if he doesn't manage to get a job soon, and I have money and no employees were employed, causing me to constantly accumulate buy value. With the online websites popularity consistently increasing I am tracking in thousands of buy value in a week. I should get to Max now… and he left. Give him a moment… There he is.

"Mr. Payne?" I glanced at the basic body, I will have to show him how to customize it.

"What is this?" He wasn't panicking, good.

I gesture to the gray structures and equipment. I should have probably added more color here. "This is a training ground. To get you ready to be a hero. You read the prompt right."

He shrugs, "So what, are you just going to give me superpowers and send me off heroing?"

"Of course not, first I'll tell you the benefits. You will get a monthly salary of 20,000$, this of course is only for the first year, after a year your salary will increase to monthly payments of 50 thousand dollars." He froze. "What made you think you were just volunteering to be a hero? I am employing you to be one, it's a lot less dangerous for you than you think. As you won't actually be there in person."

"Explain."

"See the body you're in currently? It is what I like to call a Hard Light Avatar. It has numerous tools to assist you in heroing. Plus it is what you will be controlling when you're out in the field, your physical body and soul will be at home. Safe and sound. Unlike the people you will be saving, who will most likely actually be in danger. Before I set you off to go rescue people, we have get you actually used to the abilities provided by your body." I gestured, creating a chair out of green hardlight. "Such as strength, hard light projection, and more. When you are ready I will crank up the time dilation within this place, and you will have a month to train before a single minute passes in reality. This place will show you how to precisely control your body so you don't accidentally crush someone's skull or arm when you try to save them, although it should have inner rules that will prevent such happenings. On the field you will have the Heroic Field Assistance Program that will show you the best way to accomplish things and how to save lives more efficiently."

"Wait… so I'll be able to walk? Like I'll have working legs?"

"Huh, you're crippled?"

"Yeah, I got cancer a few months ago. Probably going to die soon."

"Freaking heck, can't have that can I… Hmm, it seems I'm going to have to get some medical technology developed. Hah… shouldn't be too difficult, honestly should have been working on that sooner." I had already begun to scan my system for medical items. There was a lot that I had been putting off apparently. "Stay alive, I'll have the medical technology for curing things like cancers out soon. Should be less than a month." I could cure him now, but I need to make medical things like these publicly available, meaning I need to make a medical company. Which is surprisingly not difficult. Just take some more buy value for the papers and structures required, and Fan Value for the medical items that I'll reverse engineer. I can buy a couple research A.I. and get some research rooms built and suddenly I'll be the biggest medical company in the U.S. and then, the world.

"Where do I begin?"

"Well, as the first person to be chosen among ten people, you were chosen for your leadership and training skills. I will give you some time to learn from the A.I. system here. Introduce yourself Civa."

-Greetings Max Payne.-

"Civa will set up scenarios for you, common scenarios heroes normally have to deal with, as well as how to deal with police without turning the world against you, and more, You can spend as long as you want here, less than a minute will pass in real life. I think a year here is only a minute in real life. So you have time, don't be in a hurry. You can take your time though, I'm wiring your first 20,000$ payment to your bank account now. I recommend you pay your bills and such."

I turned to leave, "Thank you, but can you tell me who you are before you leave?" I stop for a moment.

"I am Guardian'sLureStudios. The strongest game maker in this world. I recommend you look me up when you get the chance."

Then I left.
