the law

Molly seemed somewhat more tolerant after hearing his words, still a bit displeased by the situation, but not uncompromisable...

-

Keith sat comfortably in his seat while mulling over his next words.

The car had already begun to drive, so his time was dwindling with every thought.

"So, What did you want to talk about so urgently?" Molly looked at him from the other side of the car, clearly still a bit agitated by him waltzing in.

"First let me apologise for what Franklin said, he sometimes thinks to simply about certain things."

"He acted immature, but please get to your point as this drive only lasts…" Molly looked at her wrist, reading the time from her watch. "Approximately twenty minutes."

The duration of the time shocked Keith, but he worked with it.

"Yes of course. You are a professional, and looking at your team, they are just as business minded… Devin is a brilliant investor, but he cant do everything himself… You help him with most if not all I presume?"

"That would be correct yes."

"so, you are the perfect woman to talk to… recently I have been looking to expand my business, but I need more employees to manage those businesses, I realise that you might suggest SecuroServ to me, but they give mixed results. I am looking for competent, but more importantly trustworthy people." Keith had been thinking about expanding, but even if he had the money, who would he hire… if he expanded towards drugs he could get Malcom to help with recruiting some, but that would probably result in some words coming out, not something he would want.

"Mhh, trust is something that is hard to come by using SecuroServ… they follow the money… Devin had the same problem for a while, but managed to always be the better payer… I suggest using examples of responsibilities to establish a mix of fear and Loyalty."

"Fantastic, but what about screening away the bad batch?" Cops, undercover agents, rivals if Keith casted a to wide net then some would slip in, and he didn't have the resources to deal with the screening process that that would take.

"I am willing to do it… at a price of course. Standard fee is ten thousand dollars per person, but do some jobs for me and I am sure we can work something out."

"You are looking for an enforcer?" Keith hadn't been an enforcer for close to a decade, seeing as it was not worth the risk he sometimes had to endure.

"I have looked into your skill set, your former name Vince, no last name on the record, a orphan who was taken in by the mob… being an smuggler since young until becoming one of the enforcers for the crime family. Eventually forming your own crew after moving away from the family that raised you… So being an enforcer would suit you well don't you think?" Her words were a threat to his position in Los Santo's, not that it would matter much.. it just meant lying even lower for a while, more cover operations, less expanding the small criminal side.

Keith sighed "Is this with Devin at the helm or you personally?"

"Just some personal problems that have come up, but informing Mr Weston isn't needed… I am sure you understand, right?" From Devin Weston, also meant of the book, Molly had stirred something up that she didn't want to bring higher up to command.

"I will be discreet.." Keith didn't appreciate the agreement, but it was beneficial enough to not complain about it.

"Perfect, you can start right now if you would like?" the matter seemed to be urgent, as her suggesting this on the fly meant that it had been a thorn in her side for a while.

"Beter now then later.." Keith shipment with supplies would still take a while before arriving to the port, meaning that now was the better time to begin, as he would rather pick it up as soon as possible.

"A law firm has been digging up some dirt on me, a old grudge from a year ago they are still mad about… so what you need to do is get all the files deleted from their server, as reward I will get you a crew of ten ready… that will be enough I presume?" Scouting out ten people that were competent at their jobs would cost around one to two hundred thousand depending on how thorough Keith would check.

"Yes.. ten is more then enough." He only needed four for now, they could manage his crate business, picking up the unguarded once with the help of Page's her app. The others would either need to guard his properties or help set up a new one, but where could he get six guys..

"But I need some with specific skills, that possible?" It would complicate it for a bit, but Keith wasn't planning on asking for skills that were all to specific.

"What are you looking for?" Molly seemed annoyed at the question, but seemed to understand the reason behind it.

"I need six security, and three good drivers and one decent mechanic." Four of them could work in his crate warehouse while the other six could go and work to expand his business into car reposition. SecuroServ had multiple vehicle warehouses for sale meant to smuggle or sell stolen cars via the black market, that meant that the profit margin was lower, but also that there was no inherent risk to selling them, only the stealing part.

"You looking to go for your own repossession business?.. don't worry, it doesn't bother me.. everything is manageable." Molly seemed intrigued by the idea, copying others idea was something that smart people sometimes did.

"Thanks Molly… we should talk again when you have time." She seemed more open to the thought after they talked for a while

"Time is money, so…" Molly seemed to think of everything as being related to money, showing that business meant more to her than personal business.

"I know.. just call when you are free for a bit.. I can always make time for a beautiful lady such as yourself." Keith had noticed the car slowing down, and seeing from the navigation system they had arrived.

"Flattery will not make me lower my service costs." Molly was frank, while preparing to get out of the car.

"Oh, I know, but just making sure you know it too." Keith stepped out of the vehicle, they had stopped near the police station where a privet chopper sat, readying for take-off while Molly walked to it.

She had likely paid a fee for her shopper to land on their helipad, allowing her to quickly go to her destination.

Sadly for Keith, he had no such transport… all he had was a stolen car that he had changed the listens plates on hidden in the woods for a week or two.

If that wasn't there then it meant either hoping a cab was close or stealing a decent looking car.

Keith walked off, until he discovered the empty spot where he had stashed the car…

Grumbling to himself he walked further along the highway until he got to the truckers stop, where he walked in and ordered some fries while calling Raul, the manager at Cab and Co.

"Hey Raul, do you happened to have any cabs in the Paleto bay area?" Keith spoke the moment Raul got on the phone, all the while calmly sitting on his diner stool with a overview of the parking lot.

["Sorry boss, no such luck, we do have one in Grapeseed, but they will take over three hours to get there."] Grapeseed was on the other side of the mountain that separated the coast form the mainland thus making the ride he took with Molly absolutely useless for him going home.

"Let mee see…" Keith looked around the parking lot finding run down cars or family wagons.. but most of all trucks, it was after all a truckers stop..

"Yeah.. just send him to me ill wait…" No car was around worth anything, so getting a cab would be the best option, less of a trail even.

["roger that boss."] Rual hung up the call as Keith refocused on the food that he had before him.

The three hour wait was a shame, but getting a stolen car to drive himself to the law firm was out of the question, he would need to park it somewhere not remotely close along with making sure that he wasn't seen entering or exiting the car.

Kieth enjoyed his meal, spending the rest of his time on the phone to see if everything was going well..

The premier of the new movie would not be at their cinema but at the Chinese one next to them… apparently they found it really important to be at theirs as it was a historical site for movie premiers, no to mention trying to cut their losses..

The doppler cinema had been increasing in revenue each week after its renovations, but that clientele didn't come out of nowhere, it came from their competitor, situated right next to them… perhaps they thought that the premier was their big break, but Keith suspected them of going bankrupt before winter.

The VIP clients that used the taxi serves had been increasing as of late, mostly because of their increase in reputation.. the investment wasn't paying as well as the one with the cinema, but tips were becoming ever increasing, causing more drivers to want to be placed in the VIP cars.. sadly the amount of VIP's were not nearly as big as the want for their tips.

His warehouse had been empty due to a lack of effort on his part, but that would soon be over with the introduction of new muscle into the his workforce.

Other properties were managing fine, but the Lost MC had been a problem once again… he understood that the higher ups didn't control everyone's opinion, but someone had cleared them to strike at the truck with the cars that he was moving.

Keith grabbed his phone, the cab he had called for would still be more than an hour away so he had all the time to talk to Malcom, planning on making him explain whatever farce they had cooked up.

He rang Malcom's phone, but no answer came… he rang again, this time getting another prompt for a voicemail.

Looking around he saw that everyone in the diner was doing their own thing, minding their business, but sadly he found it to quite to talk out in the open… instead he moved to the back, entering the toilets.. Keith checked if anyone was in there and called Malcom again, while leaning against the wall… hoping that he would respond..

Sadly Malcom did not, letting his phone go on voicemail ones again..

Whilst waiting for the beep, Keith gathered the words he would say..

"He Malcom… listen up… I don't care who did this, but I want fucking answers, right fucking now… if you can't explain to me who and why… than I would prepare yourself to be awake for the coming nights as I will be visited you… you got a couple of days, and I swear if this shit happens again then I wont warn you!" He didn't scream, wanting everything to stay confined in the small bathroom where he talked.. he didn't like to make threats, as they ruined friendships, but business was business and if Malcom cant make a decision then he better be prepared to suffer the consequences.

He stopped the call cutting it off as he heard someone open the door… Keith nodded to the man, exiting the bathroom to wait for his cab to finally arrive…

-

Malcom had seen all three calls coming in, but he was to frightened to pick up the call… he had heard of the failed plan only after it happened, thus being unable to warn Keith before hand, but now he had a bigger problem, the one who had planned this, the road captain stood right before him, wating for his answer.
