15 Suspects

The only people who were with me that day were-

*BAM!!!*

Ashton:!!!

My bedroom door swings open and I nearly drop my phone in shock. I turn to the door to find Leah standing there, her face red and furious.

Ashton: What... What happened to your face?

Leah: Don't you give me that!! Why didn't you tell me that I had grease all over my face?!

Because you looked funny? No way, if I tell her that, she'll beat me to death!

Ashton: Umm...

Leah: You know how embarrassing it was?!

Ashton: What?

Leah: A delivery boy just came at the door and almost got a seizer from laughing at my face!!

That... I imagine the scenario in my mind. What the... I can take it anymore!!

Ashton:... Pff.

Leah:... If you laugh, I'm gonna rip off that pretty face of yours.

I clear my throat trying to stifle a laugh.

Leah: I had to scrub the living hell out of my face to get it off!

As soon as those words leave her mouth, all my efforts of holding back my laughter go in vain and I burst out laughing.

Leah: Quit laughing at me!

Ashton: I-I'm sorry but it's just so.. pff, hahaha!

Leah: Keep laughing like that and I'll not tell you about the surprise.

Ashton: Hm? What surprise?

I ask, wiping a tear from the corner of my eye.

Leah: Follow me!

She leads me downstairs to the dining area. Woah, these bottles of liquor are over the top!

Ashton:... A private bar?

Leah: Mmhmm, Do you like it? You can use this when you've got guests or when you feel lonely! You can invite me too by the way.

Ashton: You know that I can't handle my liquor, don't you?

Leah:... Is that so? I'll keep that in mind.

Huh? I'm pretty sure she knew that already. Maybe she forgot.

*Ring*

Leah: Ah, that's my phone.

She looks at the caller ID and her face becomes glum. She knits her brows and starts to leave the room.

Leah:... I have to take this call. I'll see you later.

She leaves the room.

Ashton:???

Who was that call from? Speaking of calls, that phone number thing, there are very few people I can suspect. My father was out of town at that time so it couldn't have been him, my mother didn't know my phone's password so it couldn't have been her either. That leaves me with just three people; Louis, Drake and Leah. Only these three could've known my password but, Drake and Louis are my best friends and Leah, my sister. They don't have any real reason to have done this and they were the most supportive when it came to our relationship plus, they're all very important to me. I don't want to doubt them, but I can't just zip up and do nothing about the person who created a misunderstanding between Claire and I. So, I make up my mind to find the traitor even if it won't change the past.
