1 peace is a certain kind of heavens. it’s there, but you need to die to get it.

Time: afternoon, Place: village

When the old storyteller exited his house, he found the village kids had already half-circled his yard. He looked at the sun, winter was starting, Thus the low light promised the night to be snowy. He then gazed at the children, cheap leather clothes covered them and manually-knitted gloves tried to give their hands some warmth.

Some of the kids covered their noses with their palms, the old storyteller had a hint of the reason, seemed that the kids didn't want to hear *Woah look at his/her nose it's so red* sentence from each other.

The old storyteller observed each kid around him until he noticed an eccentric one. Sitting behind the half circle the kids had made, he obviously looked like the loner of the group. A dark-haired loner with pale skin and wide dark pupils that were only half shown due to the kid's sleepy expression, or maybe he had insomnia, nobody knew, or at least the old storyteller.

(Was his name ruby?) the old storyteller pondered.

The old storyteller observed the rest of the kids, then noticed ruby's greatest contradiction, a kid with blond hair, blue eyes that looked at the brightest future, just looking at the blond boy gave the old man relaxation and a thought that childhood was still safe.

However, The old man pondered

(Why are half of the kids absent?)

The old storyteller told those kids stories for years, he knew all of their looks and most of their names, if one or two were to not come he would identify their absence instantly. And now more than half of them weren't around. The old man touched his white beard as he thought about what occasion would prevent half of the kids from coming and with few minutes of rubbing his beard he ensured that no such occasion approached the village.

"Why half of you aren't here?" the old man asked giving the kids doubts...

doubts?

why would they be doubtful? weren't the children of the same village, they should have noticed such a large absence.

The kids looked at each other face, some of them as they looked at one another they shrugged their shoulders, the quiet kid ruby was no exception. The kids remained silent for multiple minutes until the blond one said: "But we all are here."

The old man flexed his eyes a little to that comment, few of his wrinkles piled up as well.

"What do you mean Sara, Moly, Seraf, and many others are absent," said the old man pushing the conversation while wishing that the kids were playing a prank on him. However, the doubtful looks on the kids increased and a few whispers spread among them, the old man heard one whisper and it said: "who are those kids?"

The old man ignored the whispers, looked at the chair on his side then took a seat. (I will look for them later) Thought placing his stick beside him. He then smiled at the kids and stated today's topic sentence "today we entered the year 800 after victory right?"

When the kids heard the topic sentence the chit-chat stopped and some of them even broke into toothful smile expressing their excitement like the blond kid, on the contrary, Ruby's face stayed the same.

"Right" the kids answered.

"Do you know what after victory means then?" the old man asked and the kids negatively gestured.

"today we will break down the most amazing history."

And the kids with a united voice "wooaah!!" escaped their mouths.

The old man, with a smile... started his story

*******************************

"through history and between its pages diamonds appear. some of them shine with the prettiest light, others with bloodiest."

The old man started his tale with a phrase wasn't appropriate for the kids' age. These kids were only 9 and 10. Terms like the bloodiest were enough to chill them.

The old man continued the story and the bloody history became more understandable for ruby and the others. It seemed thousands of years ago peace was a term to describe heavens and this world was a war-filled one. The old man explained the blood-shading reason as a combination of a desire for authority and hostility. He described hostility as the stone that built relationships between the primary races (Demons, Beasts, and humans.)

Each one of these races wanted to prove their presence and overpower the other.

malice for the foreign was being taught to kids along with reading and writing. It was a hopeless time where no light existed.

However, even if malice was an essence, nothing controlled love. Under that reasoning, few people of different species loved each other, ran together and breed producing the hybrid.

Here, ruby closed his eyes, imagined how powerful was a hybrid. From what the old man said a hybrid had their parents' full capabilities, had the human magic, the demon abilities, and the beast strength.

Yes, hybrids were strong and powerful. But, they were the least and the most hated.

They neither had a place to protect them nor had a home.

And so, Hundreds of years passed, during them who loved each other produced hybrids, who hated produced wars.

Here the old man took a break and ruby used it to observe the other kids. Through their faces, he saw fear, sadness, despair, and melancholy. yet, among them the blond one was different, what he could see within him was neither childish fear nor heart-sensitive sadness. Even though ruby was no faces expert he could easily distinguish the curiosity that was drawn on the blond boy face.

The old man continued his story.

when hybrids outnumbered their original numbers by folds, hatred doubled and tripled for them. Hybrids who had no place to sleep, fleed into dangerous forests and mountains. a lot of them preferred a survival place than a place of hatred.

"Then, At such a time..." the old man stopped. However, the blond kid quietly burst "Then?" then relaxed as he included "what happened after that??"

In truth, the old man was thinking of the term to use...

Term kids genuinely loved, history defiled it...

another kid told the old man to continue, and like an infection, curiosity filled the crowd giving the old man zero chances to think of a better term.

behind the crowd, the group's loner looked to the side as he lowered his head, wishing no one could see him...

he wanted to participate with the crowd, to show up his curiosity as well... but, what if he mispronounced a word?

(they will laugh.) he thought and didn't raise his head... at least until the old man said the term...

"A chosen" all the kids spaced out at the old man word... wasn't a chosen supposed to be good?

the old man described the term as a chosen of evil, a hybrid. one was produced by incredible people, An amazing being.

it's said, that hybrid gathered the lost of his race, motivated them to move, to stand together, to live together, to make the strongest nation and eliminate who hated them in order to find peace.

History recorded this being as the chosen of evil THE EMPEROR.

....

Years later a battle broke between ten thousand humans and six thousand demons. Exactly in a land fourteen thousand feet in the east of danger mountains.

The war took a day and a half but the result took the breath.

During the third day, a human squad reached the land and discovered that both races were annihilated beyond recognition... it was impossible to note who was male and who was a female. The use of fire and magma was sun-clear by the vague enemy. However, multiple hybrid corpses were found so the enemy became less vague or more accurately vague-less.

After that battle, everything began. The demon race was a proud one, feeling the undeniable defeat robbed the demon king his patience. He spread the word of war across the continents and then sent an army of 20 thousand to the land of the previous battle, there they confronted an army of 30 thousand beasts... and a big battle broke for 3 days ended with the victory of the demons who couldn't celebrate because the hybrid army showed up.

Few days later the land was labeled as the RED LAND.

At that time, the sole son of the human king Sasha was at the age of 23. the curiosity of the wise son led him to take a small squad and go to investigate the red land mystery. There, Sasha spent two weeks and got back to his father with the most shocking conclusion.

At the red land, the number of demons was around 11 thousand. And the number of beasts around 30 thousand, most of the beasts' corpses were recognizable and specifically their sex...

It was clear enough for Sasha to understand what that meant. After the victory of demons, hybrids came and annihilated them.

However! Sasha was sure enough that it was impossible for such a small number of demons to win against a huge army of beasts...

when Sasha returned to the palace, he told the king everything... told the king that if his conclusion was to be true... then the kingdoms are endangered. But, the king chose to not believe...

this occasion was followed by a few decades of silence and peace. During them, the old human king passed away and his son Sasha got the crown.

Sasha the new king sent messengers to the beasts and demons nonetheless the sealers, spiritual and the Pract sects to call for peace... As Sasha expected, the demon and beast kings refused. The same with the human Spiritual and the human Pract while the human seal-ers replied with a message of "we are neutrals."

Peace.. was what he wanted... Even if it was temporary. Enough peace to defeat the greatest enemy and call off the hostility among races. he needed peace to help, to save lives, to ensure a better future not for only humans but also the other races.

then Sasha stayed silent for the next many years. until the storm began.

it was recorded as *Tragedy of The Million*. A tragedy its victims were the demons and its murderers were the hybrids. In short, out of nowhere, the hybrid army appeared in front of the demons continent, murdered around million of them and concurred two cities.

After the tragedy, the demon king put down his pride and requested the help of the other two kings.

when the beast king saw how the most prideful race shut down their pride and dignity... He also began considering the situation more.

In a month worth of time the three kings gathered in the neutral sect of sealers, there, demon king uncovered the case. Hybrids number used to be less than ten thousand. But, when they concurred the two cities their number was at least ten times the older one. despite the fact the demons were still much more in number, hybrids had the capabilities of all races, had the power. lots of the demon king's best men were killed… it was totally onesided.

Sasha listened to that and stated his conclusion,

Sasha's conclusion was that in the last decades, besides kidnapping their enemies' women during battles, the hybrids also kidnapped random women during the quiet decades of no battle. During the time of faked up peace, random women were kidnapped by the hands of hybrids and were used as breeding machines. Sasha as well indicated that most likely the hybrids not only increased their number but also their power through letting a hybrid of demon and human breed with a beast so his child would be a mixed blood of three races.

Hybrids used time with value and thought of every second. The result was getting two cities of a great race like the demons with ease.

In the Sealers sect, Sasha promised the two kings victory. and got the right to command over three races.

Sasha's first command was to gather all kind of trained cattle. the second was to unite the beast army with his kingdom's army. third to lessen the number of females from the united army fearing the worst possible result. and for the last command was to get all that done in a few months.

The base of hybrid became the two border cities of the demon continent, many hundreds of thousands of feet in the west of danger mountain.

....

One night the watchmen on the towers of the hybrids' cities saw thousands of torches coming toward them at high speed. watchmen shot fire from their hands alerting their front lines.

the front lines lunged forward, behind their back the back lines assisted with unlimited fire and water magic. when the bullets hit the target, the torches spread in all directions then grouped together targetting the hybrids' base again.

seeing the speed of the enemy the front lines became serious and activated all moving abilities they had.

However, when they reached the target, they froze up! their eyes widened and pupils shrank ... they were stunned.

Their enemy was an army of cattle!!!

The cattle were berserk and blood-lusted, most of them in attack mood and ready to battle... the cattle were enough to busy most of the hybrids... for seconds enough for Sasha's army to unleash their distant attack.

hybrids in the cattle battlefield saw the most beautiful lights, coloring the sky and falling on them... the distant attack continued till morning, during that time hybrids requested enforcement, however, nothing came. the remaining in their base were less than them and were already battling the demon army who attacked from the demon continent.

the hybrids were besieged and trapped.

in the morning beasts and close distant fighters lunged toward the battlefield continuing the fight with the weakened hybrids. and above the battlefield, humans who could fly flew toward the base assisting the demons army.

this war continued for 3 days. demons, humans, and beasts had the greatest numbers, it's said their number counted with millions. and they lost a lot. they painted the grounds red, they shed pride. the demon king died... however... they gained the victory.

yes, the demon king died.

however,

With his death, he got the emperor's head and recovered part of his kingdom's pride.

That year was special, it was the year of blood, the year of peace, the year of victory!

And as the peace took place, history opened a new page with new dates and calendar... that year

was labeled as 0 after victory.

when the old man finished his tale he observed the kids. They were frozen. History had such a thing inside! they were stunned.

Among them the old storyteller noticed a river of tears flowing on the blond boy cheeks, the blond boy tried to cover the river with his hands but a river of tears wouldn't stop just because the kid tried to use his little hands as a dam. The old man asked "little kid why are you crying? peace is already here and no fear of hybrids remained".

the kid heard this sentence and like a storm removed his hands, showed up his ugly-red crying face, stood, and yelled "Old man! it's that reason. hybrids wanted to live peacefully, but all they got was hatred, wanted to have a smile but all was waiting for them was death… in the end, they decided to find their own peace, and peace was made by their death…. just the thought of that makes me…. "

in front of the old man and the kids, his shiny sky-colored eyes sparkled like pearls, and shed the saltiest tears… like a river.

the old man became speechless, this kid had such a dreadful perspective. How could he sympathize with monsters such as hybrids! It was hard to understand. However, before the old man said a thing the blond one ran away.

few seconds passed and the old man stayed silent. then a kid asked breaking the concealed atmosphere "old man, wasn't hybrids able to fly?"

old man's frozen lips curled into a smile then moved in reply "flying is an ability for both demons and certain kinds of humans. and demons get this ability when they reach the age of fifty usually. hybrids army was still crude, most of them under that age range, so flying was for few thousands of the elder ones."

another kid asked, "old man, how did the demons king travel to the other kings while hybrids concurred 2 of his lands?"

the old man smiled to the kid's question, then looked beside him, he found his stick, took it and in the middle of the kid's half-circle he began drawing,

the old man drew a huge continent, then a smaller one to its south. then another two small continents to its north-west. and finally, he drew one as big as the southern continent in the northeast side. then he explained "our world has five continents, the southern is the human continent, the northeast is the beast's continent, and the two in the north-west both for demons. see the demon continents are separated by an ocean. the half concurred one wasn't the demon's king's rest place, so it wasn't hard for the demon king to fly to the middle continent, then to the sealers sect.

by the way, separates the beast's continent and demon's concurred continent as well as middle continent a triangular series of mountains called danger mountains."

kids looked at the map of their world and *woah..*escaped their mouths. simply they were amazed and excited about the place where they were living. but kids curiosity sometimes went a bit far.

One kid pointed on danger mountain and asked: "why it has such a bad name?"

the old man thought but didn't reply… he stayed silent.

****************

In the meantime, ruby reached the village center.

Hi dear readers,

This novel is a long mystery-driven one, you will encounter a lot of secrets... However, all of them will be uncovered, you just need to be patient. That is why I wish you to consider waiting for (at least) the first volume before giving a negative rating. I don't like to give spoilers just to get you to wait. But, be sure that I'm intending to write a fantasy novel with different taste compared to the professional eastern fantasy web novels... In all aspects, from powerfulness to harem and romance.

Thanks.

Mr.Sunny.
