Chapter 1: the beginning

"My lord where are the children you told me that they were sleeping but I haven't found any of them." A woman said as she came in and nealed.

"Like I said they are sleeping." The man said.

"Hush Lunes." Someone else said.

"You to Alexander." Lunes said.

"You should know your post." Alexander said.

"You too." Lunes said as she got up and punched the wall.

Then, some glass shattered that was behind the wall and the wall disappeared all around them and a boy came out were the glass shattered and Lunes caught him she noticed that he had bandages on his neck.

"He is from the village that was burning and we saved him and the other....children." She said as she looked around.

And there were all the children from the village.

"Oh my god why are you doing this?" Lunes asked.

"That is, my business not yours commander Lunes." The man said.

Then, a man came out from the shadows.

"Princess Lunes!" The man said as he used his magic and smoke came out.

"Get them." The man said.

"Here take him." Lunes said as she turned around and used magic and blasted the door so they could escape and so they couldn't get them.

They got out of there and kept running up to a riverbank.

"This is a fine spot." The man said.

"Thank you Liam." Lunes said.

"You should have taken my warning though." Liam said.

"I know but we would have never found out where the children were." Lunes said.

"True." Liam said as he put the kid down. "I brought your clothes."

"Thank you." Lunes said as she walked away.

"So, he is from the village where they say the green stone resides at?" Liam asked.

Lunes came back wearing a dress and came up to her knee then it changed into a form of battle clothes.

"Damn it feels good not to wear armor again." Lunes said as she sat down(her clothes is similar to what a man wears)

"Well, what do we do?" Liam asked.

Then, a ferret came out of the boy's shirt.

"Look what I found." Liam said as he pointed to the ferret. "It is dinner."

The ferret ran back into the boy's shirt.

"And there goes our dinner." Liam said.

"It is not our dinner and there is probably a reason that it is with the boy." Lunes said as she looked over at the boy. "We should just leave him alone for now."

They both went away to go find something to eat. After that the boy woke up he sat up and looked around and all he saw was forest and the ferret came out of his shirt.

"Mido." He said in his mind.

It looked at him and crawled all over him came up next to his face and sat on his shoulder. Lunes and Liam came back a little afterwards.

"Look he's awake." Liam said.

"Hi there." Lunes said as she knelt down. "I am Lunes and he is Liam."

He backed up and Mido got off his shoulder and went to hers.

"Be careful princess." Liam said.

Mido turned around and hissed at him.

"Ok." Liam said as he backed away.

The boy started crying because he saw the crest of the royal family on her wrist.

"Hey what is wrong?" Lunes asked.

He came over and hugged her as he was crying.

"It is ok." Lunes said as she patted his head.

Later on.

"Can you speak?" Lunes asked.

He opened his mouth to speak but he couldn't, he touched the bandages on his neck and shook his head no.

"Well, this is nothing to worry about you two." Liam said.

Mido got off her shoulder and wandered around then the boy got up and started chasing him.

"Mido come back." the boy said to Mido's mind then he stop and started stepping back and Mido climbed up and sat on his shoulder hissing. Lunes and Liam get up and go up to his side.

"Who's there?" Liam asked.

"So, we found you." Someone said as they came out of the trees.

"You are not going to have him again." Lunes said.

"Well, we have other plans." They said.

Then, Alexander came behind the kid and grabbed him.

"Alexander you fucking scoundrel." Lunes said.

Then, the kid started squirming then he eventually got out of his shirt.

"You damn brat comeback here." Alexander said as he started reaching for him then Mido bit him.

The kid threw up his arms then a force field came up and Mido came off his shirt before Alexander flew back.

"Oof." He said as he hit a tree.

Lunes looked over and saw more bandages on his back she went in front of him.

"Liam we are getting out of here." She said as she grabbed his shirt Mido went on to her shoulder.

Liam used some shadow magic and they disappeared.

"Fuck they got away." Alexander said as he hit the tree.

They went to a house that was in the forest.

"Here you go." Lunes said as she gave his shirt back to him.

"Hey, you two I found some food." Liam said.

"Really well let's go eat." Lunes said as she walked off.

"Hey, kid I need to talk to you." Liam said as he grabbed his arm.

He looked back at him.

"So, when you speak again tell us what happened." Liam said.

He nods then they both went down to eat and Mido came out and sat on the table eating some food that the boy was giving him later on they went to bed.

"So, I wonder how long he has had those bandages on?" Lunes asked.

"Well, we just have wait til he can speak again" Liam asked in a whispered tone.

"Ok." Lunes said.

She went to the doorway where he was sleeping.

"Well, it should be fine for now." Lunes said.

Mildo was on his stomach and the boy was dreaming about his family.

Five years ago.

"Mommy where are we going?" The boy asked.

"We are going to see you grandfather Akihiko." The mother said.

"Grandpa." Akihiko said.

When they got there.

"Grandpa!" Akihiko said as he ran up to him.

"Hello Akihiko." He said as he hugged him.

"What are we doing today grandpa?" Akihiko asked.

"You are going to get your royal crest." His grandfather said.

"Mom did you hear that I am going to get my crest." Akihiko said.

"Father why?" His mother asked.

"Your brother is dead and there are only four people of the royal family left so he has to have the cress now because my time might be running short." His grandfather said.

"No, not him." His mother said.

"Mom?" Akihiko asked.

"It is nothing let's just get this done." His mom said.

They went in and he got his cress on his back.

"Wair this over it." His grandfather said as he put a bandage over it then it changed to the color of his skin.

"Grandpa why do we have to keep it hidden?" Akihiko asked.

"It is to keep us safe." He said.

"Ok." Akihiko said.

4 year later.

"Why did he have to die." Akihiko said as he wiped his eyes.

"Well, now there are three people of the royal family left." His mother said in her mind.

She put her hand on top his head then wrapped her arms around him.

"We will be ok." His mother said.

Later on they went back to their house and Akihiko went to bed then he started smell like something was burning he went out of his room and the house was on fire and his mother's leg was trapped under the rubble.

"Mom!" Akihiko said as he coughed.

"I am here Akihiko." His mom said as she had a force field up.

He came over and sat down next to her with his force field.

"Here take this." She said as she put a green stone over his heart and it went into him.

"Mom what is this?" He asked as he put his hand over his heart.

"Just keep it safe." His mother said.

"Ok." Akihiko said.

Then, Lunes (before she knew what was happening to the kids she didn't notice the force field) came in and grabbed Akihiko.

"Come on it is too dangerous here." Lunes said.

"Mom." Akihiko said.

"Go." She said as she pushed him.

He got up and walked with Lunes to where the other kids were at.

"Akihiko." One of the kids said as he ran up to him.

"Leo." Akihiko said.

Lunes walked away to go get any more kids that she could find. Then, some people came up behind all of the kids and used knockout gas on them then they started packing some of them inside of a cart. Then, left the others there.

"Is this all we are grabbing." Akihiko heard faintly then passed out.

"Yes it is." Someone else said.

When Akihiko and the rest the kids woke they were all in a forest looking area.

"Where are we?" One of the kids said.

"It looks like a forest." Someone else said.

Then a monster came out of the trees.

"Run!" Someone said.

They all scattered and most of them followed Akihiko and Leo, all of the people that scattered had died.

"What will we do now?" One of the kids asked.

"Just stay alive." Leo said.

They all nodded their heads and Akihiko was not paying attention.

"Akihiko." Leo said as he touched his shoulder.

Akihiko jumped.

"Hey man is everything alright?" Leo asked.

"Yes why." Akihiko said.

"Well, you were spaced out." Leo said.

Then, a monster popped out behind Akihiko and Leo. Akihiko quickly threw up his force field.

"Get everyone out of here I will try to hold him off." Akihiko said as he tried to keep him from moving.

"You heard him move!" Leo said as he motioned them to move.

They started running.

"Alright ugly." Akihiko said as his force field changed to swords.

Akihiko killed the monster or so he thought and as soon as he turned around he was attacked and it cut down the side of his neck and his back he turned around and killed him then he tried to walk back to the group but he passed out and when he woke back up a ferret was right in front of him. He spoke.

"Mido?" Akihiko asked then he tried to speak some more but couldn't so he started using his powers. "Can I call you Mido?"

Mido looked at him and Akihiko sat up then put a force field over his cuts. Mido climbed onto his shoulder Akihiko used his power again to talk to Mido.

"Please lead me to them." Akihiko said in Mido's mind.

Mido started going the direction that the others ran off and Akihiko got up and started walking the same direction he almost got there and it was nighttime and his powers started going away.

"Almost there I just need to last a bit longer." Akihiko said in his mind.

He walked a bit farther then Akihiko saw a light coming from a cave then the leaves rustled where Akihiko was coming.

"Who's there?" Leo said as he came to the entrance of the cave and a sword appeared from his hand.

Akihiko came out of the tree line then passed out.

"Akihiko!" Leo said as he came over and his sword disappeared and he picked him up he noticed that blood was coming from his neck and back. "Make some room." He said as he came in

Mido came up and sat on Leo's shoulder.

"Akihiko hold on." Leo said then he took off Akihiko's shirt and ripped it and wrapped it around his neck and back.

The next day Akihiko woke up and Mido was in his face then he looked around and saw Leo.

"Akihiko your ok." Leo said as he came over and the other kids came over to.

Mido got off of him and went to Leo.

"So, where did you get this little guy?" Leo asked.

Akihiko pointed to the exit.

"So, out there." Leo said.

Akihiko sat up and say something but couldn't, but Leo wasn't looking he was turned around.

"We have to move today everyone." Leo said he came over. "Up we go." he said as he picked up Akihiko and put his arm (Akihiko's arm) over his neck.

They all started walking and Mido climbed up to Akihiko's shoulder then he started hissing

"Something is coming everyone get ready." Leo said.

They all gathered around Akihiko and he tried to put up a shield around them.

"Akihiko you shouldn't strain yourself too much." Leo said.

Akihiko held up his hand and shook his head.

"But. Wait are you doing this for all of us?" Leo asked.

He nodded his head yes. The next several days later Akihiko slowly was able to walk more and more.

"Well, you are starting to get better." Leo said.

He nodded.

"So, can you say something?" Leo asked.

He tried to speak but he couldn't.

"So, you can't speak but that is Ok." Leo said.

Later that night they came and they put knockout gas on them then started taking them into a different area. Akihiko woke up he was in a room they put bandages on him then they put him in the capsule all the children there and they all were trying to break the glass.

That is when Akihiko jumped up out of bed. Mido just looked at him like what are you doing.

"Sorry Mido." Akihiko said to Mido in his mind.

Akihiko got up and he went down the hallway he went and grabbed a coat and opened up the (door to the outside) and walked out Mido followed him. He went to a spot with no trees and sat down and looked up.

"I forgot what the stars looked like." Akihiko said in his mind.

Mido got on his shoulder.

"So, you forgot what the stars looked like to." Akihiko said in his mind.

Akihiko tried to say some words he could only say was parts of Mido's name.

"Getting closer ain't I." Akihiko said to Mido in his mind.

Mido nodded.

"Well, I need to practice something else." Akihiko said.

He held his arms out and his swords appeared. Some leaves rustled on the side of him he moved his swords in that direction.

"Oh come on kid calm down it is me." Liam said.

Akihiko swords disappeared.

"You will catch a cold out here let's go back." Liam said.

They went back to the house.

"Go on up I will be there soon." Liam said.

Liam went and sat at the table and started thinking of his past.

"Laim listen to me a blade is supposed to protect the ones you care about but in this case the princess." His teacher said.

"Right master." Young Liam said.

Young Lunes was calling out Liam's name.

"Well, go on she is calling you." His teacher said.

Liam ran off and went to young Lunes.

"The kid reminds me of myself some of the times." Liam said.

Liam went upstairs and looked in the room where Akihiko was at.

The next day Liam and Lunes woke up and looked in the where Akihiko was and he was not there.

"Where did he go?" Lunes asked.

"Don't know?" Liam said.

Akihiko was out with Mido practicing speaking again.

"Mido." Akihiko said out loud. "I did it now let's try my name." He said in his mind

He started saying his name and some other things then Mido started hissing he turned around and three people were behind him.

"Hey there kid where is the rest?" Alexander asked.

The other two people went behind Akihiko.

"So, we will be taking you back now kid." Alexander said.

Akihiko summon out his swords.

"Mido." Akihiko said.

Mido ran off to go get Liam and Lunes.

"You will be fighting me now." Akihiko said.

"Look now you can speak again now I have to listen to you again." Alexander said.

Mido got to Lunes and Liam.

Lunes knelt down Mido ran out the door.

"Lunes he wants us to follow him." Liam said as he pointed out the door.

They followed Mido.

"So, brat are you coming with us or we have to beat you some more." Alexander said as he held him by the shirt.

"I am never going with you." Akihiko said as he struggled to get free from his grip but couldn't.

"I see how it is." Alexander said as he punched Akihiko in the stomach.

Liam and Lunes got there and saw Akihiko and Alexander.

"Kid!" Lunes screamed.

Akihiko looked over then passed out. Mido bit Alexander and he dropped Akihiko and Liam came over swing his sword at Alexander. Alexander jumped back in reaction.

"Hey, you ok?" Lunes asked.

"What do you want with him Alexander?" Liam asked.

"For him to return to where he belongs with us." Alexander said.

"Not going to happen." Liam said.

Alexander and the other two people all disappeared.

"Hey kid are you ok?" Liam asked.

Akihiko got up and stood there for a moment and thought then finally said something.

"I am ok." Akihiko said.

"He speaks" Lunes said as she got up in Akihiko's face.

"Can you please get out of my face." Akihiko asked.

"Sorry." Lunes said as she moved back.

"So, now that you can speak tell us what happened." Liam said.

"First my name is Akihiko." Akihiko said then he started telling his story and Mido got on his shoulder.

"So, you are part of the royal family to that is why they want you." Liam said.

"Not really." Akihiko said "They are after the green stone which they need to power something. The green stone was in the village but now I have it."

"But this great I am not alone anymore." Lunes said as she hugged him.

"Lunes your killing me." Akihiko said.

"Sorry." Lunes said as she let go of him.

"We better get out of this open area." Liam said.

They walked back to the house.

"So, they don't know that you are part of the royal family or that you have the stone." Liam said.

"No they don't." Akihiko said as he looked down at Mido.

"Well, let's keep it that way." Lunes said.

"Right." Liam said.

"But don't we have to move now that they know where we are?" Akihiko asked.

"True so we better get packing." Lunes said.

"But first let's take off the bandages." Liam said.

They took off the bandages.

"Wait I thought you said that a monster scratched you." Lunes said.

"Yes." Akihiko said.

"Well there is nothing there." Liam said.

"It might be because of the green stone." Lunes said.

"You might be right." Akihiko said.

"Let's get back to work." Liam said.

They all packed up and started walking to the closest town and Mido got onto Akihiko's shoulder and sat there. They had to stop for a night and sleep outside and when it was morning again they started walking again.
