174 A trip to the unknown! – Chapter 174

Our next goal was to go to the spirit's realm and I could already see that all of the girls were excited about this journey.

We already visited the dragon's realm and were stunned by the amazing ways things worked on that place. There were floating islands, a beautiful nature with many different things that caught our eyes. But sadly, all of the dragons weren't in that realm any longer.

But this time we were going to a realm inhabited by many little spirits that have been living there for thousands of years.

"Is your home far from here?" Chloe asked since we've been flying for a few hours in the air.

"No, we are still far from my home."

And as someone would expect from another realm, of course it would be somewhere far and hidden from other monsters or humans. If it was in a wide open space, demons, angels and especially humans would have found it.

"I guess that's a given…" Chloe showed signs of boredom after seeing that there was a long way until we reached our destination.

Another reason why the trip to our destination would be taking much longer was because I kept getting tired really fast and I couldn't seem to levitate everyone in the air.

"We can take a break if you don't feel okay." A voice on my side suggested as we were walking by the riverside.

"...I'm not an old man if you say it like that." I replied back to Ichika's worried suggestion.

"I didn't mean it like that though." Her eyes were focused on me as she said back to me. "I'm just worried about you."

"...mhm…" I gently smiled at her worried expression and looked straight ahead.

She looked back at me, still worried about my current health.

"I'm okay. If I feel that something is wrong with me then I'll let you know as soon as possible."

Her thin lips were slightly open, dazed at what I said to her, but a smile appeared on her face as we continued walking forward.

"Speaking of your health, do you have any family members… back at Sakuru I mean?" Suddenly Hina asked me with an uneasy tone in her voice.

It took me a while to understand why she asked that kind of question to me. Not to mention that I never said anything about my family or life before I met any of them.

I did that because I never wanted to tell them the pathetic life I had before I received this power. The harsh and cruel life I experienced in Sakuru school and how powerless I was to even protect myself.

"Yeah, I have a sister and my parents" The other girls were also paying close attention when I told them about my family members.

I already know that my sister is okay since she basically works in Sakuru, but I don't know whether my parents survived the disaster or not. But I'm sure that my sister would have found them in case they were still alive.

"Don't you get lonely… you know… not being able to see them ever again?" She also asked, wondering what my thoughts would be about that kind of question.

"It was my choice and mistakes that led me in this kind of position. I miss my parents but I don't feel lonely since I already have you all by my side."

Everyone's cheeks were slightly red after listening to my thoughts about Hina's question.

"Hearing you say it like that is kind of embarrassing.." Chloe looked delighted as she was saying that to me.

.

..

Some days passed, and our journey on arriving at the Spirit's realm was still a little far. Surprisingly, I could barely feel any monsters on our entire way. It was a bit surprising, but since Akemi didn't seem concerned about this, I decided to ignore it as well.

"Hatsuko…" Chloe suddenly called out my name as we all were taking a break over the soft and grassy ground.

"What is it?"

She blankly looked at me as she thought for a moment.

"When are you going to make a move on any of us?" She flat out asked that kind of question.

Me and everyone else were dumbfounded at Chloe's straightforward question.

"W-wha?!" Ichiak's eyes widened in embarrassment after realizing what Chloe meant by that kind of question.

"..." Hina also averted her eyes as a way of hiding her embarrassment and hope of actually getting the same treatment as everyone else.

Shiro was just trying to catch a butterfly which was flying around while the twin sisters were looking at her. And Akemi was grinning as she was resting her hands behind her head.

"I…" I didn't know how to respond to her…

It wasn't because I was scared, nor because I didn't know what I was supposed to do, but… It felt weird for me to actually make a move on any of them. I don't think of them simply as girls, but as someone who I truly cared about, and I wanted to spend most of my time with all of them.

I know that sounds selfish of me, but… I didn't want any of us to get seperated…

"Can you give me a bit more time… I need to think of my answer…"

"Haa…" Chloe let out a sigh in relief then looked back at me. "We're going to wait but… make sure to give us a proper answer when you decide." Her smile brightened up her face more than usual as she seemed eager to know how I was going to respond.

"..."

"..."

"...I really wanted to know…"

All of the girls seemed kind of disappointed about my answer. Especially Ichika as she was murmuring something under her breath.

"Why are they all acting differently with you?" Alette wondered as she was floating above my shoulder.

.

..

More days passed and we finally reached our destination. Or that's what that spirit was claiming after we arrived at a massively dense forest where the sun didn't touch the ground, and the smell of grass, mold, and wood was especially strong.

"Are you all ready?" Alette asked after we traveled for so long.

"Yes!"

"I've been waiting for this!"

Ichika and Chloe excitedly responded to Alette.

Right in front of us was nothing else but a significantly big tree that seemed a little odd compared to the other ones.

That must be the entrance to the spirit's realm.

"Then, I welcome you to the best place a spirit could ask for. The ForgottenLand!"

And within the second, a portal that led to another fantasy place was opened at the surface of that tree as yellow particles were flying around.
