After alex got info about jewelry bonnie, he needed to stalk her and wait, maybe he was lucky found her while she find the devil fruit. He wanted to collect her devil fruit and gives her another devil fruit. She was cunning girl, alex would happy if bonnie joined him under his banners. He was need someone like her and yasaka, both of them were cunning and brave enough to took the risks.

So, alex prepare himself to go to pink island. He needed faster to find her. He didn't know yet, if he could eat 2 devil fruit. His devil fruit power was make him to be runes or seal human. He could control runes/seals, and he could seals anything. He was hope he could use his devil fruit full potentials.
