3 DC? Mining!
Nion walked in the streets as the sun slowly vanished and night came. He was in deep thought. He sat on a bench and watched the ocean. 'It can't be the same Earth as the one I came from!'
He stubbornly didn't want to believe it.
'It doesn't feel the same... Planet Vegeta had a certain aura to it... Every planet should have a different feel to it and this one doesn't feel like it.'
He stood up and found an internet cafe that was still open, he checked his pockets and realized he had no money.
'How can I use without paying... I will run away and pay him later.'
He walked in and sat behind an empty computer. He opened it and a search engine popped up, he began surfing the net.
Half an hour later...
Nion stood up with a dark expression and ran out of the cafe. His speed increased beyond human levels as he disappeared after he left the Cafe.
He stopped near the same bench and sat on it. His face in focus. He muttered, "There is a Gotham City and Metropolis, Lois Lane is a reporter... This is without a doubt a DC Universe... However, there are no heroes in the open so I don't know which one from the ones I know of...".
"Screw it, Since there are no famous heroes yet, I have nothing to fear. I need to get rich first and get a villa with good food and rest a while then I can set a goal and work towards it and realize what I want to do."
He stood up and looked at the sky and a crazy idea hit him, 'If I am immortal, I should be able to go to space... However, how can I mine asteroids for gold? Maybe I can create a Ki technique that melts stuff?'
He walked as he pondered his situation. He wanted to get money and an ID but he didn't know how to.
He sighed, 'Screw it, let's see if I can go to space first then I will try Ki to melt stuff. Can I even get to the asteroids with my speed? I have to try.'.
He looked around and realized no one was near him, he searched for security cameras and didn't spot any. He summoned his Ki and shot off the ground toward the sky...
He didn't go too fast to break the sound barrier in case people noticed him but since it was night, he blended in the darkness and vanished in the sky among the clouds.
A minute later, he was reaching the Stratosphere. He could see the port getting farther away and several cities appeared in his vision with the shape of the continent roughly visible. The curve of the planet also became apparent as he went even higher and reached the Mesosphere.
He noticed he couldn't breathe, His body tried to force it which created a suffocating feeling. Just as he wanted to go down, he realized something. Even though he felt like he was suffocating, he didn't faint or feel weak as expected. He was in optimal condition despite not breathing.
He held his breath, not that any air was inside, he did it to close his nose. The suffocating feeling slowly vanished and he didn't find it uncomfortable anymore.
He realized he didn't need to breathe at all. He smirked as he accelerated, his speed rose incredibly, and left the Thermosphere without looking back.
He turned around and his eyes widened, below him was planet Earth in all its glory. A beautiful blue orb with white clouds and green lands, cities could be seen due to the light coming off of them in the night. The sun visible in the distance, its color was pure white.
The scene was breathtaking but since there was no air, he couldn't gasp in astonishment. (The Sun isn't actually yellow; it's just an illusion caused by the Earth's atmosphere. The powerful processes happening inside the Sun are so robust that it emits every color of light imaginable. Together, these colors form a pure white light, which is precisely what you'd see from space.)
He admired the planet for a few minutes but eventually, he turned to scan the space. His eyes could see far away, he could see the moon's surface with a lot of details. The moon's light was very faint and he felt no impulse to turn into a giant ape.
'Maybe it is because I am not on the planet? From here the moon looks just like any other rock in space. Maybe if I look at it from the planet I will transform... Let's not do that.'
He gazed at the other planets and realized he could roughly see them but not in detail. His eyes were way above human levels.
He felt the extreme cold of the space but it didn't hurt him so he ignored it.
He located the asteroid belt and began moving in that direction. He noticed his clothes had frozen. He sighed mentally and forcefully broke them apart.
He was naked once again as he flew off in space.
'I need to build a suit, this naked thing is very annoying...'
He accelerated more and more and his speed grew faster and faster as he manipulated the Ki to give him propulsion force. A few minutes later he passed the moon...
He grew faster each second, his Ki pushing him forward with extreme force as he let it loose without holding back. Using all his power to fly.
He grew faster and faster and eventually after an hour he reached the asteroids. (The distance is 450 million km from the earth so he reached half the speed of light due to his Ki constantly giving him insane speed... Light would take 25 mins...)
He chose a random asteroid and approached it, his eyes marveled at the sight of the massive rock.
He focused on his palm and a Ki ball slowly formed. He started making the Ki ball vibrate intensely. The Ki ball shone even more as it grew extremely hot.
Of course, he couldn't feel the heat or hear the ball since there was no atmosphere.
He continued and after a while, he felt the ball was going to explode so he stopped.
He made the ball in the palm of his hand connect with the rock and steam erupted as if a lot of water had evaporated.
Colorful clouds formed around him as it solidified in crystal form due to the absolute zero. He looked down and saw the melted rock slowly turn and become normal again.
'So hot? That should have needed 4000 K at least! I am stronger than I thought, can't believe this worked! Let's evaporate this and mine the crystalized clouds for gold.' (K= Kelvin.)
He pushed the ball back on the rock and didn't stop...
A few hours passed...
The giant asteroid that was 100 times bigger than Nion was no more, replacing it was a rainbow-colored crystal-shaped rock cloud 10 times bigger than the previous asteroid in a particular shape.
Nion admired his work and began melting the yellow parts apart and after they solidified, he took them. He spent a few hours mining a small part of it since mining took way more time and attention to detail.
A while passed...
He dragged away a chunk of yellow metal that he had fused together. These were pure gold and separating them was very hard, most of it was inseparable so he had only mined the parts that were minable with his method which was not a lot of it.
'It should be 2 tons...' he theorized and dragged it away and began flying toward earth.
He began slowing down when he passed by mars since he was carrying a lot of gold and he had to take the weight into consideration and slowly slow down. If the gold boulder behind him were to hit earth at half the speed of light it would be a disaster. It needed time to decelerate to an acceptable speed so he began slowing down so soon.
He had already realized his speed and such during the time. 2 hours after he had gotten the gold, he reached earth and began to slowly descend toward the ground.
The atmosphere didn't burn the gold much since he was moving slowly.
He eventually landed on the ground after half an hour of gently flying down and put the boulder of gold beside him. He was in the middle of the ocean on a small island with no inhabitants, he had landed on the beach.
He laughed as he leaned on it. 'I can't believe it worked! I am Rich!'
"Now, I need new clothes, a new ID and a bank account with some way to sell this... First I will sell a part of it and with the money, I will get an ID and phone and bank account then I will somehow sell the rest." He muttered to himself.
As he was doing all this, somewhere else...
The General from before burst into the same room with a frown. Behind him was a man in a suit, it was the president of the US.
"What is it this time?!"
The military staff inside pointed toward a giant screen.
One of them said, "Sir, an unidentified projectile was spotted leaving the planet a few hours ago, it just came back and landed somewhere in the Atlantic ocean.".
The general asked calmly, "Is it related to the explosion?".
"Yes, sir! The same projectile was spotted leaving Antarctica. At first, we thought it was a Russian plane or something but records show that it is too small and too fast for that."
The president stepped forward, "Do you have a picture of it? We might have an Alien on our hand.".
"Yes, one of the satellites caught it, we are getting it now."
"It is here!"
They all looked at the screen with anticipation, expecting to see an alien spacecraft or something.
A picture appeared and the room turned deathly silent.
It was a blurry picture of a naked man in space, be it coincidence or not, the picture's focus was the most on the crotch area... The face was too blurry to be recognizable.
The female staff blushed.
The general turned angry, "What is this?! Are you joking?!!".
"But, sir! It is real!"
The president frowned, "Are you implying that there is a naked man in space?".
"Now that you put it that way... But it is data transmitted from the satellite!"
The general shouted, "You are fired! You expect us to believe you when you show us the picture of a penis in space?!".
"But..."
He was fired.
