12 Building A Ship

It was morning and the sea was calm. A few seagulls were seen flying in the sky. Two ships were seen coming from the horizon. In one of the ships a small figure could be seen sitting on the bow of the ship. As the ship became closer the features of the person became identifiable. The person looked no more than 12 years old, he had messy black hair with some locks falling above his eyes. His appearance is average with his only noticeable feature being his sharp eyes.

They have been travelling at the sea for a few hours. The weather was good and they haven't met any accidents on the way. Mike was sitting at the bow of the ship and practicing a new technique which he thought of. He imagined himself as a sword with a strong intent to cut through anything while releasing weak pulses of conqueror haki.

" Conqueror haki is all about will power. If I can integrate this strong intent to cut through anything in my will, will my conqueror becomes a sharp weapon instead of suppression? If I can do this then when I release my conqueror haki, will my opponent feel like his body has been cut apart instead of suppression? Then, if I reached the level of Shanks where I can do physical damage with my haki, will I be able to cut people by just releasing my will?", Mike thought to himself and continue his practice.

His practice was disturbed when a commotion started behind him. He turned around and saw that a big wave started rising from behind the ships and the ships were being pushed forward. When the sea calm down again they saw a big sea animal before them. The animal had a seal like body structure but its face resembles a cow. It had a pair of curved horns on its head, a big round nose with a golden nose ring on it and it's whole body was covered with green stots. He knew this animal. It was the sea cow the straw hat pirates met on their way to Arlong park. When he saw this animal, he suddenly had an idea.

"If i can tame this animal and use it to pull my ship at the sea, then my ship will be a lot faster. I also don't need to rely too much on the direction of wind and sea current", he thought.

Then he saw the villagers shouting and running towards the cabin in panic. Even the captain of the ship was no exception.

"CALM DOWN EVERYONE!!! I CAN TAKE CARE OF THIS MONSTER ", he shouted and the villagers calmed down a little but some were still rushing inside the cabin.

He ignored them and went behind the ship and stood facing the sea cow. He knew that this sea cow is very timid but also became very obedient when tamed. When the sea cow rushed toward the ships to destroy them, he released a strong conqueror haki directed at the sea cow. The sea cow stoped moving immediately and some sweat drops appeared on its body comically. Mike jumped from the ship and lands on the head of the sea cow and felt its body trembling.

" Your name is Momoo, right? From today onwards you will follow me. You will help me pull my ship and I will provide you tasty foods and help you grow stronger. If you agree node your head.", Mike told the sea cow and it nodded its head. He knew that it was very intelligent and can understand human language.

He turned towards the ship and saw the villagers looking at him in awe. He laughed and shouted

"Haha guys, I have taken care of the sea monster. His name is Momoo and now he has become my companion, he won't attack you anymore. Start sailing towards our destination and I will follow you on Momoo".

Then they continued their journey. It was a one day journey, so they reached Yotsuba Island the next morning without any accident. Mike learned some navigation skills from Tomo on the way and Momoo followed the ships from behind. The villagers still feared him but not as much as the first time when they ran away after seeing him.

They reached the island and saw that there was a big town at the base of the island and a big port was built on the sea. They docked their ships at the port and started unloading their merchandises. Mike didn't have any so he bade farewell to the villagers.

"Mike we will be staying on this island till evening. So, if you want to go back with us come back here before dusk", Tomo told him.

" Ok Mr Tomo", he agreed. If there were any good ship builders on this island he should be able to find them before dusk.

Then Mike went around the port gathering information. He found out that there was a shipyard some distance away from the port where the marines repaired their ships. It was his best bet so he went there after eating some food from a stall.

When he reached the shipyard he saw two marine ships docked there as well as many other small ships. We walked up to a worker and asked

" Hello! Can you tell me who is responsible for this shipyard? I want to buy a strong ship"

" If you want to buy or built a new ship, you should talk to Mr Jack. He is the person standing near the marine ship and wearing red shirt", random worker answered. Mike saw a fat person standing in front of the marine ship and ordering the workers.

" Thank you mister!", Mike thanked him and went up to the person he pointed out.

" Are you Mr Jack?", He asked the person

"Yes I am, and who might you be?", Jack asked back.

" Hello! My name is Mike. I was told that I should ask you if I want to buy a new ship", Mike answered.

" Yes, you can buy ships from our shipyard and even if you want to build a new one, we have many designs from which you can choose." He answered.

Then they discussed for some more and Mike found out that this shipyard has the ability to built strong ships which can be sailed even in the grand line. He decided to order a new ship to be built as he couldn't fine any ships which satisfied him among the finished products. At last Mike choose a medium size ship which has a store room, a kitchen, a training room and 4 living compartments. He also added some modification and a long chain to be attached in the front of the ship so that Momoo could pull the ship with it.

" Mr Jack, can you give me the approximate time to built the ship as well as the price.", Mike enquired.

" It will take about half a month to finished the ship and the price will be around 5 million berries. You need to pay half of it in advance and another half when finished." Jack answered.

" If I add another one million berries can you finished the ship in half the time?", Mike asked. He don't want to waste a lot of time here and if it can be solve with money he doesn't mind. He brought 10 million so money is not a problem for him and if he got the ship he can slowly start his bounty hunting business and earn even more money.

" Well it is difficult to finish in half the time but if I put more workers I can finished in 10 days", he replied

" You got yourself a deal Mr Jack. I will give you 6 million berries and you provide me the finished ship in 10 days time", He paid half of the money and finalize the deal. Then he went back to the port and inform the villagers about his plan. After that he found an inn and booked a room for 10 days.
