11 A New Journey
Mike was told by the chief that if he wanted to buy a strong ship he had to go to another island. But all the ships in the village were destroyed by Arlong Pirates so it will take about one month to finish a new batch of ships. So he was told to join the villagers when they go to other islands to buy supplies after a month. Mike also got the address of a person who knew navigation from the village chief.
" If I wants to travel across the Blue sea freely then l will need to learn navigation and become an expert in it myself or find an expert navigator to board my ship.", Mike decided the first option without much thought, he don't want to be like Luffy who rely too much on his crew.
He went to the address and saw a guy reading newspaper outside a house. He had short hair, medium height and looked to be in his thirties. He went nearer and asked
" Hello! Are you mister Tomo?"
"Yes kid, what do you want?" He answered rudely.
" Well! My name is Mike and I was told by the village chief that you are a very good navigator and you are free now, so I come here to ask if I could learn navigation from you? And i will pay for the lessons.", Mike answered politely.
" You are Mike, the kid who save the village from the pirates!!!! I apologize for my rude behaviour. I was just in a bad mood because all the ships in the village were destroyed by the damn pirates. I will teach you all I know about navigation for free. You have helped the village so much, I also heard that you donated money to the village. So how can I take money from you!!! ", Tomo quickly apologize and agreed to teach him navigation lessons for free after he realized who he was. Mike tried to give him money every time but he wouldn't take it so he finally agreed at last.
" Ok then Mr Tomo, when should we start the lesson?" Mike asked.
" We can start it now if you are free", Tomo replied. So he learnt navigation from Tomo till evening and returned home.
When he reached home he saw Bellemere in the orchard and Nami and Nojiko playing in front of the house. When Nami and Nojiko saw him they ran towards him and asked
"Mike where were you? We searched for you to ask if you would play with us but we couldn't find you."
" I went to talk with the village chief and I also went to learn nevigation from an expert ", Mike answered.
" You learn navigation from an expert!!!!!", Nami shouted sounding jealous.
" Well Nami, you can also come with me from tomorrow if you want", Mike offered.
" Really!!!Really!!! I can learn navigation with you!!", Nami happily shouted and ran to Bellemere to tell her.
" Nojiko, do you also want to come?", He also asked Nojiko.
" Thank you but I want to stay with Bellemere and take care of the orange orchard." She declined
" If you want to take care of the orange so much then why don't we open a shop at the market place so that you and Bellemere can sell the orange when they are ripe. We are not sort of money anyway so buying a shop should be ok", he suggested
" Really!! we could do that!! I will go and talk to Bellemere about it", she also ran away to Bellemere.
He waited for some time and Bellemere came back with Nami and Nojiko. They discussed the idea for some time and Bellemere also agreed at last. They decided that they will buy a shop tomorrow as well as furniture. Since the sun is about to fall Mike started his evening training. He practice swordsmanship first and then haki and physical training at last. He practiced till dinner time. After he ate dinner he watched stars for some time and went to sleep.

It has been a month since he started living with Bellemere's family. It was very enjoyable staying with them. Every morning he woke up before sunrise and trained himself till noon. He went to learn navigation from Tomo with Nami and came back in the evening, then he did another round of training till dinner time. He also ran around the island with weights on his body at night to increase is agility. He hoped that he could learn moonwalk this way as he saw in the anime that Sanji learned to moonwalk after running continuously for many days and weeks trying to escape from Emporio Ivankov's gay army(🤣). But he didn't get any results till now. His training equipment also came 2 days after ordering so he got a major boost in his physical stats. Compared to his physical stats his swordsmanship and haki didn't improve by much. He pressed the button on his bracelet.

This morning, the chief informed him that the ships will be ready tomorrow. So he will leave the island tomorrow. He heard that the island they were going is called Yotsuba Island. He didn't remember which island this is from the anime. He also heard that there is a marine branch located at the island. He hoped that he could find a good ship builder there. As he was thinking all these while looking at the stars Nami and Nojiko came and sit beside him.
"Mike, are you going tomorrow?", Nojiko asked sadly. Nami also looked sad beside him. They have become a lot closer after living together for a month. He now see them as his family in this world.
" Yes, but I will come back soon. I just want to go to see if I can find a good ship builder. If I didn't find any then I will come back with the villagers but even if I find one, I will be late for only ten to twenty days. So don't worry, I will bring a lot souvenir from Yotsuba Island for you guys." He consoled them.
" I also hope that you can stay with us but I know that you have your own goal. So I won't stop you but you have to promise us that you will be carefull in all your journey and take care of yourself", Bellemere also came outside and sat beside him.
" I promise I will be carefull and I will try to come back as fast as possible. Do you guys want me to bring anything particular from Yotsuba Island?", He promised and asked them.
" I want many navigation books as well as toys!!!", Nami first shouted.
" Can you bring the seeds of the types of orange they grow there?" Nojiko also said what she wants.
"Bring the seeds of other types of fruit too", Bellemere added.
The mood became lighter after that and they talked for some more and went to sleep.
The next morning Mike was escorted by the girls to the port. He himself wore black leather boots, a loose black pants, a black T-shirt over which he wore a dark blue trench coat which reached his knees loosely. When he reached the port he saw two medium size ships. There were villagers who were loading the ship with merchandise.
As he went closer to the ship he saw someone he knew so he shouted
"Mr Tomo, are you also going with us?"
"Yes, I am the navigator of one of the ships. You should come to my ship, I will show you how to navigate the sea." He offered.
He decided that he will board Tomo's ship. After some minutes the ship was ready to depart, so he bade farewell to the girls
" Bye Bellemere, Nojiko, Nami, see you guys soon"
" Bye Mike, Come back soon!!", They replied sadly. Nojiko and Nami had tears in their eyes.
" Don't be so sad girls, I will be back before you know it." He comforted them for some time and then boarded the ship. He saw them waiving from the ship and also wave back.
"COME BACK SOON!!!" Nojiko and Nami shouted.
He almost wanted to turn back but he knew that he had to go. He looked at them till he couldn't see them and went inside the ship.
