10 A Day With The Girls

Mike reached his room and sat down on the bed.

" Now that I have money, my first priority should be to buy some good training equipments. I also need to buy a strong ship and a good sword"

Mike started thinking about where he can buy a strong ship and a good sword. He doesn't know any place to buy the ship but he had some idea where he can find a good sword. He remembered that in the anime, Zoro got two '50 Ryo Wazamono grade swords' from Loguetown. He decided that he will get those swords before Zoro took it.

" This house also barely has any good furniture. I will talk to Bellemere about buying new ones. And I need a new boat fast. I cannot stay here all the time, I need to go out at the sea and hunt pirates. There are not any overly strong pirates in east blue, I will hone my swordsmanship here for the next few years." Mike decided.

Mike went outside the house and saw the girls in the orange orchard.

" Bellemere do you know where I can find a blacksmith in the village", he went up to them and asked.

" There is a blacksmith in our village. Why don't you take Nojiko and Nami, they will show you the way." She replied.

"Ok! Nojiko, Nami, do you guys want to go shopping? I will buy anything you want?", Mike asked while smiling at them.

" Shopping!!!!! Yeah!!! I want to buy lots of clothes and toys!", Nami shouted happily.

" It's Ok, we will show you the way but you don't need to buy anything for us", Nojiko said while trying to hide her excitement.

" You guys shouldn't treat me like a stranger since I am going to be living here from now on. And I won't be able to use all that money by myself, anyway. So you don't need to hold back, you can buy anything you want. I am also going to hunt many strong pirates in the future so we will have a lot of money." Mike didn't hold back and show the charm of a rich man to the girls.

The girls looked at him with stars in their eyes while Bellemere was giggling at the side at his behaviour.

" Well!! well!! you are the man of the house now, little man", Bellemere teased him.

Mike felt embarrassed again. He decided to ignore the teasing and ask her

" Do you know any place where I can buy a strong ship?"

" There are some ship builders on the island but they can only built some small ships. You have to go to other islands if you want a strong ship. You should ask the chief",

She replied still smiling.

"Thanks Bellemere, we are going now, bye. Come on girls!!!", He thanked her and turned around and start walking. Nami and Nojiko joined him.

"Be carefull on the way and come back early!!!", The heard her shouting from the back.

They first went to the blacksmith and ordered some training equipments which will take some days to make. He ordered dumb bells, barbells, some weights which can be put on his hands and legs, a long weight which can be swung like a sword to increase his arm strength etc.. Then they went to the shopping district to buy clothes.

When they end their shopping spree it was already evening. There were a lot of shopping bags in his hands. They bought a lot of dress for Nami, Nojiko as well as himself. They also bought a pair shirts and pants for Bellemere to surprise her. Then he took the girls to a small restaurant to eat some snacks and returned home.

The sun was almost down when they return home. He saw Bellemere waiting for them outside the house and felt warm inside. The two girls ran to her and hug her. Then they went inside the house. Nami and Nojiko keep telling Bellemere about what they did today while she was cooking. Mike went up to his room. He put the things he bought today in a corner of the room as there are no furniture except a table, a chair and a bed. He seriously needs to buy furniture tomorrow.

" I will start training from tomorrow. Even if I cannot do heavy training, some simple physical training and some swordsmanship and haki training should not be a problem", he decided

He went down when it was time to eat dinner. They talk about some small topics during dinner.

After dinner he went outside to look at the stars. During his stay on the island he always sleep on the beach so he had developed a habit of looking at the stars at night. After some time Nami and Nojiko also came and sit beside him.

"Mike, why do you want to become strong?" Nami suddenly ask.

" Well, there are many reasons but the most important one is that I want to be free and be able to protect those I care about", Mike answered.

" But you can do that by becoming rich, right"( Nami)

" Money can't take care of everything, Nami. For example, if you give money to Arlong yesterday, he might spare your lives but he will come again and again to ask for more money. All your hard earned money will be taken by him and you cannot do anything because you are weak. You will only be like a slave working for him. Do you want to become like that Nami?." He asked and Nami quickly shook her head.

" So you have to become strong to protect those you love", he said to both of them and they nodded their heads.

" Mike, you asked Bellemere where you can buy a ship, Are you leaving us?", Nojiko asked sounding sad. Even though Mike has been with them for a short time, he saved their family and help them a lot so she will be sad if he went away.

" I wouldn't say leaving, Nojiko. I want to become a bounty hunter and kill all the bad pirates, so I need a ship to catch the pirates at the sea. I will stay here with you guys for sometime before I go, and I will come back frequently. I will also bring many souvenir for you, Nami and Bellemere from other islands and also a lot of money. What do you guys want to do in the future?" He asked back. Nojiko felt better after hearing his answer.

" I want to become a navigator and draw a map for the whole world!!", Nami exclaimed

"I just want to take care of Bellemere and look after Nami", Nojiko said.

They talk some more and then Mike went to his room to sleep.

The next morning Mike woke up before sunrise. He went outside the house carefully so as not to disturb the others from sleeping. He then started a round of physical exercise and then swordsmanship and haki. Bellemere woke up in between his exercise and started cooking breakfast. Nami and Nojiko also woke up after some time. They ate breakfast together and he continued his swordsmanship practice after that. Nami and Nojiko watched him practicing for some time before they ran off to play.

It was already noon when he finished his training. After eating lunch with the girls he dressed up in his new clothes and went outside.

"Bellemere I am going to the chief's house to inquire about the ship builder." He shouted and heard Bellemere shouting her agreement from inside.
