The group exchanged uneasy glances, their minds reeling from the revelation that they would soon face a deadly trial. The air hung heavy with tension as they stood in silence, each person grappling with their own fears and doubts.

"Are there any questions?" Rek asked, his voice cutting through the stillness.

At first, no one dared to speak. Then, Ayleth raised her hand, her eyes meeting Rek's with a determined gaze.

"Speak," Rek commanded, his attention focused on her.

Ayleth took a deep breath before speaking, her tone calm and measured despite the unease that flickered in her eyes. "If I may ask, what will this trial involve, and are we truly ready to face such a challenge? Won't it be counterproductive if everyone here dies?"

Although she maintained her composure for the sake of those who relied on her, it was clear that Ayleth, too, was unsettled by the prospect of the trial.
