5 Chapter 5 Itsy Bitsy Spider

​On the bus ride to Oscorp, Varen and Peter were sitting next to each other talking excitingly about the trip to Oscorp. Peter was excited because he was just a big science nerd, and Varen was excited because he was finally going to get some progress on his powers.

As they were exiting the bus, Varen saw Peter sneaking glances towards Liz Allan who was holding hands and laughing shyly with Flash Thompson. Liz looked exactly how she did in Spider-Man Homecoming, but Flash was diffrent in this time line which baffled Varen when he first saw him. He looked like the Flash from The Amazing Spider-Man, but was also rich and smug. He still bullies Perter both physically and emotionally, but imediatly runs away when he sees me. He got scared of me when I cought him beating Peter, so I returned the favor to him with interest.

I walk up to Peter and wrap my arm around his neck

Varen: "So are you going to go and talk to her or are you just going to keep staring at her like some sort of creeper?"

Seeing this sudden action of mine he was confused and a little irritated, then after hearing what I said his face flushed so red that he looked like an apple.

Peter: "How can I talk to her? She's with Flash..." Peter said muttering

Varen: "Thats just an excuse! You could talk to her when she is not with Flash, plus Flash would run the moment I tell him to scram haha"

Peter: "But she likes flash. I mean he is strong, good looking, and he is rich..."

I laugh bitterly to myself after hearing this. We are extremily rich Peter, but I told Mom and Dad not to tell you and also told them to buy the entire building so that we can continue living in the apartment. I also told Mom and Dad to hide the fact that they are temporarly running the buisness from the world, meaning that the boss of Orion Industries is a complete question mark. Peter thinks that Mom and Dad go to work everyday but in reality they are running Orion. I did this in order to keep Peter as the same Peter in the movies and comics, I did not want to spoil him since being brought up in a not so rich environment helps in the making of Spider-Man.

Varen: "Dont sell yourself short Petey, you are one of the smartest people I know."

Peter: "You know I hate it when you call me Petey, and please you are way smarter than me. Aunt May is always bragging about how you dont even need to go to school."

Varen: "Yeah well mom is crazy"

As they were having their conversation, they were following their classmates who were following the tour guide who was also a worker their at Oscorp. When Varen was done messing with Peter, he notices who the tour guide is and was stunned, then it quickly turned to joy, it was Gwen Stacey! This Gwen Stacey looked exactly like Emma Stone, the reason Varen was happy is because he had a little crush on her when he watched the movie.

Varen then quickly seperated himself from Peter and made his way to the front of the group where Gwen was at. Seeing the Schools Prince trying to make his way to the front made many of the girls very happy. When Gwen saw the boy she immediatly forgot what she was saying, her faced blushed as she was staring at the beautiful man.

After a while Gwen realised her mistake and continued her tour while once in a while glancing at Varen. Seeing her bashful face made Varen chuckel because she looked too cute.

Gwen: "And this is are Physics/Mechanics center where we focus on Anti-Gravity conponents, please feel free to look around and see some of our expert scientist at work. After this I will be taking you to are Genetics Labratory."

The group dispersed and started to look around, Peter and Ned were looking around marveling at the Anti-Gravity work that they had. Varen on the other hand saw that Gwen was walking around alone waiting for her group to be done, so he decided to go and talk to her.

Varen: "Hi there." I said with a charming smile

Gwen: " H-hello!!"

Hearing herself stumble with her words she looks down with a red face clearly embarrased.

Varen: "My name's Varen"

Gwen: "Gwen... My name is Gwen!"

She responds with a faint wisper but fearing that I could not hear her she repeats it again louder.

Varen: "Hehe its nice to meet you Gwen. So Gwen how long have you been working here?"

Gwen: "Its nice to meet you to hehe...umm I dont really 'Work' here, more like an internship since I am still in highschool."

Varen: "Oh thats so cool! What highschool do you go to?"

Gwen: "I just moved here because my Dad was recently promoted as police captian and was stationed here, so tomorrow is my first day at Midtown High."

Varen: "Haha then I guess It will be my turn to give you a tour this time, since I also attend classes there." I said winking at her.

Gwen: "Really! Thats great!...I mean that will be a great help thank you." She says smiling happily.

*Cough Cough*

We turn around to find the entire group watching and waiting for us, with some girls staring evily at Gwen. Seeing this Gwen quickly became embarassed and started the tour again.

Gwen: "So if you are all ready we can start to make are way to the genetics center where we have been experimenting on spider genes."

Finally what I came here to do, all I have to do is catch the spider when it bites Peter secretly so that no one sees me.

As Gwen was explaining the purpose behind this Genetic facility, in the back I can see Peter grimace with pain and grab towards his neck as a spider falls to the ground. I quickly make my move and place the spider into a small container and close the lid so that it does not escape, all while making sure that no one saw me. I then go to Peter and ask him if he is ok, after confirming he was fine I realise something.

"Hey Morgana sweetheart, can you get me a map of the Oscorp building?" Said Varen in a whisper

Varen made sure to always carry Morgana on his person, right now she was in both his cellphone and watch.

After getting the map I make sure that no one is looking and that I am in a camera blindspot to turn on my invisibility and make my way up the tower. Once I make my way into Normans Office, I make my way to his computer and start searching for the Serum. Bingo, I found you. I quickly download the recipe onto my watch and make my way back down to rejoin the rest of the group.

Now that I returned to the group, I notice Gwen look at me and give me an 'angry' face.

Gwen: "Where did you go? I noticed that you were not with the group earlier, did you sneak off?"

Varen: "haha does that mean that you were trying to look for me? Im flattered!" I teased her

Gwen: "Wha- Just stay with the group!" Her face was red as she proceeded to end the tour.

As we were leaving and getting back on the bus I make my way to Gwen to say goodbye

Varen: "Thank you for the tour Gwen! Here, this is my number. Call me anytime you need me or if you just miss me hehe." I handed her the paper then winked at her and got on the bus to sit next to Peter.

Gwen was blushing hard with her head lowered not noticing the hateful glares that she got from all the girls in the bus.
