28 Chapter 28 Karen

After ending his chat that he had with Varen, Peter put the energy core on the bed and stared at it.

Then he went to Ned who had his head in a bunch of study flash cards, seemingly not paying attention to what was around him.

Peter: "Alright Ned, it's time. I'm going to see what those guys are up to, maybe they'll lead me to their base!"

Ned: "Uh-huh...make sure your here before tomorrow, or else your girlfriend is going to kill you."

Peter: "Dont worry! I'll be here before anyone even wakes up. Also, DO NOT take that glowy thingy with you. Leave it here!"

With that said Peter snuck out of the room with his hoodie and sweatpants over his suit.

Ned: "Uh-huh.....got it. DO NOT leave the glowy thingy here."

Ned mumbled to himself while still focusing on the flash cards.

As Peter got outside his room he saw some of his Team Members sneaking out in their bathing suits. He saw Liz in the back also in her swimsuit with a face that showed her excitement.

She saw Peter and smiled at him.

Liz: "Hey cutie! Get your trunks on, we are going swimming."

Peter: "Uh-I...I.."

Liz: "Peter, come on. This will help us bond with the team and improve morale. I heard it In a Ted talk hehe."

Liz giggled at her form of revelling. She then looked at Peter and had a small hint on naughtiness in her eyes. She walked up to him and put a finger on his shoulder.

Liz: "Plus, we can do a few other FUN activities while we are at it."

Peter gulped at the temptation. He could only smile kind of awkwardly since he did not know how to respond.

Liz: "Hurry up and get changed!"

She said this and ran off to join the others in the pool.

Peter could only sigh as he knew that he could not join her, even though he hated the fact very much. He has a duty that he has to fulfill right now.

Peter made it to the roof of the hotel and put got out of his clothes revealing his Spider suit. As soon as he put on the mask he saw his suit flash quickly before disappearing. He saw a bunch of information flash past his eye lenses and heard a voice in his ears.

{Congratulations Peter on completing your Super Hero training, I'm sure Varen is very proud.}

Peter: "Uh, you must be Morganas little sister."

{That is correct, My older sister is the best!}

Peter: "You seem proud of her."

{But of course! She is perfect on every way, and has NO flaws!}

Peter: "Haha, I sort of think the same way with Varen."

{Varen is perfect as well.}

Peter: "Yeah he is. Now why dont I give you a name."

{You can if you want.}

Peter: "How about Liz? No that's just weird, I dont want you to have the same name as my girlfriend. How about Karen? What do you think."

{You can call me Karen.}

Peter: "Great, alright. Karen pull up that tracker that I placed on those bad guys."

{Pulling up the bad guys. Hehe this is fun Peter, our first stake out!}

Peter: "Haha I know! I'm excited too."

Peter followed the marker to where the guys were at, it was actually not that far from there location. Peter thwiped a web as he followed his spider tracer.

10 minutes later he arrived at the Gas station they were staying at. Peter could see them in a van.

Peter: "I wonder what they are saying."

{Would you like my to go in to advanced reconnaissance mode?}

Peter: "There is an advanced reconnaissance? Uh YEAH."

As soon as Peter said that he could here what the two guys were saying in the Van.

Peter: "This is amazing!"

After a while of listening to their conversation he found out that they were planning a heist soon.

Peter: "Alright! It's time to take these guys out!"

{Would you like to go into inhanced combat mode?}

Peter: "Ohh, that sounds cool. Yeah let's do that!"

{Activating instant kill.}

Peter's eye lenses zoomed in and turned red.

Peter: "Woah woah woah. I dont want to kill anyone!"

{Deactivating instant kill.}

Peter's eyes went back to normal as he leaped off the roof at thwiped a web toward the billboard sign in front of him, but he ended up shooting a web shot instead and fell face down on the ground.

Peter: "Owwww, So much for Spider Senses. Karen what the heck happened?!"

{Rapid fire are automatically equipped during combat mode.}

Peter: "What!? Why is it rapid fire?"

{Would you like to see more options? You have 576 possible web shooter combinations that Varen installed in your suit.}

Peter: "God, Varen really overdid it."

Peter looked at his options and picked a random one.

Peter: "That one."

{Great choice, would you like me to set this as your default?}

Peter shot at the sign again but electricity came out of the web.

Peter: "No No No!"

Peter let go of his web and jumped back up to the roof.

Peter: "What was that?!"

{Taiser webs.}

Peter: "Why would I need taiser webs!?"

{You seem to be very unfamiliar with you web shooter settings. Peter, you should already know these things!}

Peter: "Well I dont ok! Just you choose."

{Fine, but you better start practicing!}

The van started to move as Peter followed it not to far behind.

{So what's the plan Peter? You do have a plan right?}

Peter: "Of course I have a plan! Its...um..."

{You totally do not have a plan.}

Peter: "Hey, I'm going with the flow ok!"

Peter saw that they were pulling up to a truck with a large cargo.

Peter looked up at the sky and saw Volture flying in making his way to the cargo.

Peter: "Ohh that's him."

Volture anchored himself onto the cargo and threw a sort of portal letting him into the cargo.

Peter landed onto of the cargo and looked at the purple portal. Peter reached out his hand and touched it making his hand phase through.

Peter: "Woah cool, it's some kind of matter phase shifter."

Peter saw Vulture jumping back out and getting himself back on the wings. Before he could leave though, Peter took his bag of stuff from Vultures hand.

Peter: "Hey big bird, this doesn't belong to you!"

Vulture shot toward Peter and started wrestling for his bag back. Peter shot a web toward him but it split in half.

Peter: "Karen what was that!?"

{You told me to choose!}

Before Peter could think he was thrown into the cargo and knocked one of the portal devices in with him. Peter quickly got back up and jumped up, but since the portal was now closed he knocked his head and blacked out.
