Chapter 19 Rescue Mission

​Varen: "Haha, Hey Kitty!"

Varen laughed seeing her face turn red most likely from embarrassment. He was embarrassed too thinking back to the things they did and said, all the flirting and even the kiss.

Felicia: "B-but how?!"

Varen: "How what? How did I become Nightwing or how did I get my powers?"

Felica: "Both!"

Varen: "Haha, I guess it's only fair I tell you. But, you have to tell me about your secret too!"

Felicia was taken back at what Varen was asking. He still has not let this go?

Felicia: "*Sigh* Fine, I guess it's only fair."

Varen proceeded to telling her how he got his powers. He just said that he was born with them to make things easier and hide the fact that he has a system. Then he told her how he became Nightwing. And in order to do that he had to explaine about Orion.

Felicia: "What! Your rich?!"

Varen: "Um....yeah. Really rich."

Felicia: "But how can a kid start up such a big company?"

Varen: "Well, I am really smart. I was planning to announce to the world that I am the boss since I dont want to overwork mom and dad more than I already am."

Felicia: "Thats...wow."

Varen: "Now your turn miss thief. What are you hiding?"

Felicia hesitated for a moment in whether or not she should tell him. After a few minutes of silence she started to speak.

Felicia: "It's my dad...he was kidnapped."

Varen: "Kidnapped? Do you know by who?"

Felicia slowly nodded her head, a few tears started to well up in her eyes.

Felicia: "Wilson Fisk, he took my dad."

Varen: "What does Wilson Fisk want with your dad? And what does that have to do with you being a thief?"

Felicia seemed a little ticked off by the word thief since her voice was a little sour.

Felicia: "I'm not a thief! I'm a Cat Burgler, which is a lot more graceful than some damn mugger off the side of the road. Also, It has everything to do with my dad."

Varen: "Sorry sorry jeez.... Go on then."

Felicia huffed in irritation and continued

Felicia: "Well, it all started when me and dad were doing a big heist on one of Wilson Fisks diamond showings. He had his most valuable diamonds out and showcasing them to show off his wealth, you know like typical rich assholes!"

I flinched at that. Is she calling me an asshole?

Felicia: "Well long story short, the heist did not end in success. It turned out that Fisk was expecting us. He put out his diamonds to lure me and my dad to going there. He locked up my dad and said that I will be working for him now, and the only way to free my dad was to get a certain amount of money for him."

Varen: "How much?"

Felicia: "...10 Billion"

Varen: "10 Billion?! Why does he need so much money?"

Felicia: "I don't know why he needs it, and I don't care. I just care about getting my dad out and away from that fat sociopath."

Varen: "I can help you, I can give you the 10 Billion."

Felicia: "What?! No way, this is my problem to fix."

Varen: "Remember when I said that I will always be here to help you, It was not just talk. Let me help you kitty."

Felicia did not know what to say to this, she has never really felt anyone care for her other than her father. Varen being willing to help her without even thinking twice made her feel warm and special inside.

Felicia still shook her head no though, it was just to much money that she owed.

Felicia: "It's way too much money Varen."

Varen: "Too much money? I can pull it out right now."

As he said this a big hill of bills spawned right behind Felicia.

Varen: "Turn around."

Felicia turned around curious as to why Varen would ask this of her when suddenly she was shocked frozen. WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS! Where did all of this money come from?!

Felicia: "Wha...where..."

Varen: "Hahaha, Kitty you should see your face. Your drooling Hahaha."

Varen was keeled over laughing his ass off because of the face Felicia was making. She was unknowingly drewling when she saw the money, this girl really is materialistic!

Felicia: "S-shut up! Where did all of this come from?!"

Felicia had a big blush spread across her face due to her embarrassment, which only made Varen laugh more. After Varen calmed himself down he started to explain.

Varen: "It's one of my powers."

Felicia: "You can just make money out of nowhere?"

Varen: "In a sense yeah."

To be honest even Varen did not know how his power worked. Did it just make it out of thin air? Or did it summon it from a bank or something. But most likely it is situation number one since there were no news lately of a mass robbery.

Felicia: "Then you really can help my dad!"

Varen: "Yes I can, but I'm not going to just give 10 billion dollars to a criminal."

As Varen said this he made the money disappear, which was also something that Money Spawn can do. Felicia's eyes seemed to fall into despair when she heard Varen say this.

Varen: "Haha relax, I'm still going to help you."

Felicias eyes seemed to regain some hope but not much.

Felicia: "If you are not going to give him the money then how?"

Varen: "Did you forget, I'm Nightwing!"

Varen made a funny pose to show his mightyness, but Felicia was not amused.

Felicia: "Stop fucking around and tell me!"

Varen: "*Sigh* fine...I can do a lot of things to him. One being hacking into his many bank accounts and draining his money, another one is breaking into his main building and gather every piece of evidence I can find to throw him into prison. But both options seem a little diasterous."

Felicia: "Disasterous how?"

Varen: "Think about it. If I drain his bank then he can always get more money, it will also piss him off. The second option will throw the city into chaos with the other mob bosses trying to take over King Pins empire."

Felicia: "Then what do we do?"

Varen: "We will have to go and rescue your dad directly, and while we are there try to find out why King Pin needs so much money for."

Felicia: "Ok sounds like a plan, lets go!"

Varen: "I'm going alone."

Felicia: "What! Like hell you are, that's my dad!"

Varen: "And its to dangerous, I can get your dad alone."

Felicia: "I don't care, I'm going!"

Varen: "*Sigh*...fine, but after this no more Cat Burglering. Help people instead."

Felicia: "You want me to go good?!"

Varen: "Yes, now lets go my side kick."

Felicia: "Who's your damn side kick!"

Varen: "Haha your are of course."

Varen jumped off the roof and got on his NightCycle. He then put his hood and mask back on as Felicia was getting down the roof too. She got on the back of the NightCycle and grabbed onto Varen.

Varen: "Ready to go and get your dad back kitty?"

Felicia did not say anything as she just noded with a smile, Varen then zoomed through the street and headed toward Fisk tower.
