10 Chapter 10 Spider-Man Is Born

​Varen was in the NightCave trying to figure how he was going to give the suit to Peter. I mean it's not like he could go up to Peter and be like, "Here you go!"

While Varen was trying to figure out a perfect way to do this, he suddenly heard his phone ding. He looked at it and saw that it was a text from Peter.

(Peter): "I had such a great time with Liz, she was so cool and funny! Thanks, Varen, I don't know what I would do without you."

(Varen): "Good for you, you would probably be a virgin your whole life without me 😂."

(Peter): "Haha very funny🙄. The only thing that sucked was that I had to walk her home, although it was cool to be with her longer. That's why I was thinking of getting a car, I can impress Liz with it!"

(Varen): "A car? Where are you going to get a car?"

(Peter): "Haha I have my ways! I just need Uncle Ben to drive me somewhere."

Strange this feels too familiar....Holly Crap! Isn't this when Dad dies after Peters wrestling match from the first movie? I can't let that happen! But I also have to let it fold out so that Peter can become Spider-Man, what do I do?!

As Varen was thinking of how he could solve this, he suddenly thought of something.

(Varen): "Are you home?"

(Peter): "Yeah, I'm waiting for Uncle Ben to get home."

(Varen): "Don't! I'll drive you"

(Peter): "You? But you only have a permit."

(Varen): "Its fine, I'm a great driver."

(Peter): "Ok...with what car?"

I have lots of cars, Peter...

(Varen): "I'll borrow a friends car."

(Peter): "Alright, come and get me then!"

I quickly get an ordinary car from Orion then drive to pick up Peter. Basically, my plan is to replace Uncle Ben with me, with this I can help Peter become more responsible and prevent Dad from getting hurt. Two birds with one stone haha, in such a genius!

As we arrive at the library, thinking that he could keep it a secret; I give him his talk, only I changed it up a bit.

Varen: "Look, Peter, I know that you really like Liz; and I know that you really want her to like you. But you do not have to turn into someone that you are not. It does not matter if you have a car or not. If she likes you, then it's going to be because you are PETER PARKER."

Peter: "Look Veren, I know you mean well. But Peter Parker is just a nerd, IM just a nerd."

Varen: "You are not just a nerd Peter. You have one of the brightest minds out there. Just try not to become someone that you don't want to be later on; after all, with great power comes great responsibility. Look I don't mean to lecture you or preach since I'm not your real brother-"

Peter:  "THEN STOP TRYING TO BE!! Your right you are not my brother, you are my cousin! So stop trying to be."

I stop talking at this moment since it did hurt to hear Pete say that, even though I was prepared for it. Now I know how Dad must have felt.

Varen:  I'm sorry.... I'll pick you up at 8 p.m"

After that Peter got out the car and I drove off. I parked in an alleyway close by to where Peter was fighting. I waited there for a few hours listening to Morgana curse at Peter because of what he said.

It was around this time that the match was over, so I drove to the street where they would be coming out from. A few minutes later, I saw a man with blonde dyed hair and a man wearing a black and green striped shirt come out running with bags in there right hand and a gun on the left. They looked around then spot my car, they quickly run towards my car and tell me to get out.

Obviously, I'm not going to let these little bitches kill me, but I will let them shoot me. Only I will make the bullet hit me in a not fatal spot, with my speed and agility on top of my third eye; I would be able to do that easily.

I get out with my hands up, but I don't move away from the door.

Robber 1: "MOVE KID OR I WILL SHOOT!!"

Robber 2: "Listen to him kid, he will do it."

Listening to them talk made me only look down on the further than I already did. Seeing the look of disgust in my eyes most likely angered the Robber more.

I could quickly sense that he was pulling the trigger, and almost like time slowed down, I dodge to the side making it hit my lower right side.

I quickly then Jab the one who shot me in the neck the kick the other one in the balls. Screw you guys, if you guys are gonna use guns then I will fight dirty!

As I put a little more strength into my attack to really render them immobile, they laid on the floor unconscious.

Seeing the crowd gathered around me and Peter walking over to see what was happening. I quickly started to act hurt to scare Peter enough to know that he needs to use his powers to help others.

Peter: "Varen! MOVE, GET OUT OF MY WAY THAT IS MY BROTHER!"

Peter ran to my side and started to cover my wound with his hand. I purposely slow down my regeneration to not draw suspicion to myself.

Peter: "SOMEONE CALL 911!"

People started to take out their phones and call 911, and a few minutes later they arriver taking me to the hospital.

When I arrived they took me to the emergency room to quickly tend to my wound and after a few hours later we were done. They said that since the bullet passed right through me and since the location at where it hit me was not fatal, I was not seriously hurt. They just said that I needed to let the wound heal and slowly replenish my blood. In my hospital room, I was quietly reading a physics book about gravity since I had a phew cool ideas to upgrade my suit.

Mom, Dad, and Peter came into my room with different expressions on their faces. Mom was balling her eyes out which was not really a surprise, Dad had a relieved expression on, and Peter had a guilty look on his face.

May: "My baby! Are you ok? Does it hurt?"

Varen: "I'm okay Mom, really. The doctors said that I will be fine with a few days rest." (Although I was perfectly fine right now)

Ben: "That's good."

Dad was less worried compared to Mom. Then I looked toward Peter who just looked down without saying anything.

Veren: "What's wrong Peter? Why are you acting so bashful?"

Peter: "I'm sorry Varen, because of me you-"

Varen: "It's not because of you, you Idiot! Besides, I kicked their sorry asses to the ground."

Peter: "But what I said to you in the car-"

Varen: "Again there is no need to apologize, besides I heard you call me your brother when you had tears and snot all over your face haha."

Peter was embarrassed but then started to laugh with me. It seemed like my plan worked since he had a gleam of determination in his eyes. As Peter leaves to get me something to drink, I turn to Mom and Dad.

Varen: "You guys don't have to worry, I'm already perfectly fine since I have a strong regeneration ability."

When they heard me they were astonished then very relieved.

May: "You really scared me there."

Varen: "Haha sorry Mom, but did you guys see how cool I was yesterday?"

May: "Yes! My son is obviously the best."

Ben: "You saved that little girl's life son, I'm so proud of you."

Varen: "Thanks Dad, um about the whole driving without a license thing?"

Ben: "Don't worry about that, I already took care of that. I also know that you are a really good driver so I'm not mad."

After getting discharged from the hospital we make our way home. After sharing a happy dinner together which I cooked, we went to sleep since there was school tomorrow.
