8 She Saved A Cat

Jane presents a cup of tea on the table as she offers the guest, "Please have this Madam" while she sits beside her little brother.

The little fella seemed confused about the two people in front of him. One is an adult woman while the other is a little big brother. The little fella wondered as he recalled something that his sister had discussed earlier.

Keith looked up at Jane as he guessed innocently: "Are they the nanny that Jean mentioned earlier?"

The two guests were immediately stunned when they heard such a question. Not to mention Jane who was also stunned by the innocent question of her little brother.

But Jane corrected him quickly, afraid that these two honored guests were offended.

"No, no... don't be rude Keith! There's no nanny here, they are our guest" she explained frantically as she awkwardly stole a glance at the certain guests.

"Huh?" The little fella doesn't quite understand, tilting his head. "Not a nanny?"

Jane smiled bitterly: "It's not!"

Keith's face brightened: "There won't be a nanny?" That means Jean and Aunt Dora won't don't want him anymore! Relieved.

"Err ..." Jane flustered as she doesn't know how to respond it after seeing his delighted expression.

"Fufu ..." The Madam chuckled at this spectacle, though she didn't quite understand what they were talking about. However, she found the two children in front of her were so cute, she stole a glance toward her own son whose expression still looked flat as a board.

Of course, Jane was aware of the Madam's little motion, she apologized. "Madam, please forgive my little brother's rudeness" she explained, "We just discussed over hiring a nanny but incidentally Madam and err..." Jane peered at the certain familiar boy next to the Madam, "Incidentally Madam and Lucas came at the same time"

The Madam smiled. "It's alright child," She gave a gesture as if she wasn't offended by it. "That's our negligence not telling you in advance of our arrival"

The Madam was about to take a sip of tea served by Jane. At the moment her nose smelled a very familiar fragrance, Madam was quite surprised: "Bless Tea?"

She sipped the tea as she asked the girl in front of her: "Child, where did you get this tea?"

Jane smiled slyly in her heart, but from the outside, she kept her innocent appearance as she answered honestly: "Daddy keeps a lot of that kind of tea in the shelf"

Fortunately, the Merril family is loyal customers of this tea.

Bless Tea is one of the five famous teas in the country. This tea is also very marketable, although the quality of the tea is high, the price of this tea is still affordable among ordinary people

Because of this, in Jane's previous life, Bless Tea remains a successful and sturdy product despite many outstanding competitors have sprung up.

And incidentally, the founder and inventor of this tea was the successful woman in front of her, Lucas Owens's mother, Mrs. Owens, Laura Bless.

Mrs. Owens's eyes lit up slightly: "Oh? Does your father like this tea?"

Mentioning her father, Jane became excited: "That's right! Daddy always drinks this tea every time he stays at home and sometimes he recommends this tea to his friends"

Mrs. Owens's face even more elated then she asked curiously: "Then... where's your dad?"

Jane answered: "Daddy went to work, he said he would go home today"

Too bad she can't meet her loyal customer, Mrs. Owens thought: "Then, your mom?"

Jane: "Mom..." she dropped her voice a bit. "Mother has passed away..."

Mrs. Owens frozen, she about to immediately apologized as she regretted asking such a sensitive thing.

"It's alright Madam, it already two years ago," Jane said reassuringly

Mrs. Owens sighed: "You're quite mature at your age, compare to my own son..." she glanced at her own son who was harrumphed against his mother's contrastive.

Jane knew it was not good for parents to compare their own children with other children, so she would better stop her before her words went off.

Jane turned to Lucas who had been silent, she did not quite sure how to ask. "Madam, your purpose coming here...?"

Mentioning this, Mrs. Owens sighed again. "This child ..." she meant her son, "I told him to apologize to you but his cousin said he didn't do what I said!"

"This... Lucas has already apologized to me at school" Jane respond truthfully.

Lucas who had been silent retorted quietly "Look! I told you I apologized to her!"

"Nonsense!" Mrs. Owens snapped Lucas's head as she disapproves of his irresponsible behavior. "Your cousin said you only gave this girl... ugh" she baffled for a second as she turns at the girl questioningly,

"Girl, what's your name again?"

"Huh? Jane Merril, Madam"

"Right, it's Jane"

She turns back at her own son. "Your cousin said that you only gave Jane a piece of bread and milk without apologizing..."

Lucas grumble quietly, "Such a busy body cousin!"

"What did you say?!"

"No- nothing"

"It seems that I haven't taught you enough..."

"Mom, stop it-..."

"Stop it? if I stop it, who knows what will you become in the future..."

Fuff... Jane who watched them quietly, she could barely hold back her laughter. To think the future idol of every woman is so miserable right now...

The nagging lasts for about five minutes until finally, her throat felt dry, Mrs. Owens stopped her scolding before sipping her tea.

Mrs. Owens gave a scary face to her son: "Do you understand?"

Lucas whose ears almost wilted due to his mother's constant scolding, he land his resentful gaze on a certain girl overjoy over the other's suffering. "... I understand mom!"

Meanwhile, the certain girl who received a gaze from Lucas, her heartfelt delighted. 'I told you don't be haughty, look what you've got! haha, happy!'

Apparently, Mrs. Owens didn't stop there: "What do you understand ?! apologize now!"

Lucas gritted his teeth as he is reluctant to apologize toward the girl who secretly gave him a funny look as he thought that she mocking him, "I- I apologize..."

Jane generously shook her hand as she talks in a wise adult way, "It's alright, after all, Lucas was still a child"

Lucas flabbergasted after hearing her sentence. As the word 'Still a child...'

'Still a child...'

'Still a child...'

Ringing several times in his ear like a whisper of the devil 'She said that I still a child?'

Although that sentence was indeed true, somehow that hurt his pride deadly.

Jane didn't know that her jokes had become a shadow for Lucas even after he grew up...

but it's a story later.

After she sends off Mrs. Owens and Lucas. Jane returned to the house and changed clothes.

She intends to go for a walk with the little fella. It's a bit boring to stay home all day without a clear activity. Though she didn't quite mind it, it's bad for Keith.

As expected, Keith was overjoyed being a walk with her sister. He even wears his favorite shoes.

Throughout the way, Jane could faintly see the silhouettes of three children in a children's playground.

She intended to take Keith there to join in playing with the children, but for a moment she saw it closer, her faces suddenly changed to a certain degree.

"What the hell..." she was angry to the point waved her hand to create a blow of the wind enough to punish and make those children frightened.

"Ah, I fall!"

"What a terrible wind"

"This wind is too strong, run!"

After the children run away, Jane took Keith to walk towards the spot where the children had just played.

Jane immediately walked over after seeing a bloody pitiful cat lying on the ground. The cat is on the verge of death but still breathing.

"What terrible children! have their parents never watched the behavior of their own children?" If she was their mother, she will shove them back into her tummy and let them come from the buttock.

Unbelievable! those children unexpectedly used a cat as their stone throwing target. If Jane doesn't arrive on time maybe this cat has been tortured to death by those terrible children.

In the Isla, Cats are very noble existence. Even humans need to pay certain respect for them.

Cat Race is one of the noble races that are highly respected and feared by other races. That's because their race can control destiny.

Jane once met one of the Cat Race, they have a proud character like other noble races but they're live up their reputation. However, in this world, it only becomes stray cats, weak and dependent on humans, it can't even control its own destiny. How wistful!

"Jean, is the cat in pain?"

"Yeah, very in pain"

"Can we bring it to the doctor? Daddy said that a doctor can cure anything"

Jane smiled over this, she put her hand on the cat's body, "Maybe you can still control your destiny, the fact that you've met me, it's a destiny"

Greenlight emerged from Jane's hand and then began to envelop all parts of the cat's body, a warmth entered the cat's body and slowly the severe wounds in its body miraculously slowly disappeared.

A blood clot that had previously covered the cat's body also disappeared as if it had never existed.

It recovered. Its body is intact as it is even now more healthy than before.

The cat opened its eyes, "Meow" it shocked!

It recalled that it had died slowly and was tortured by children. It was hopeless and starving so it did not fight. It thought death would end everything, but it didn't expect it didn't die, instead, its body becomes so vigorous and did not feel hungry anymore.

It wondered what kind of miracle had fallen on it?

But for a moment it opened its eyes clearly, it finally understood that it had been saved by two little angels...
