10 She’s Crazy

One hour after the black-suit man left, Father Lee finally regained consciousness and was perplexed after discovering the familiar place where he lay.

He helped himself to sit down. He just realized the clothes he was wearing were different from when he came home from work. Tilting his head in bewilderment, "What happened to me?"

Father Lee tried to recall every event that happened after work until he arrived in this room. He remembers very well that he was forced to go home late at night because his colleagues invited him to attend a drinking party after their project was successful.

He has a tremendous endurance to alcohol, therefore he has never been drunk at any drinking party. After the party, he immediately went home in an obviously clear-headed, then... his complexion change all of sudden.

Soon after that, he was flooded with disbelief feeling as he caught off guard being stabbed by them on his abdomen. He has a great doubt in his heart as he asked them in incredulity: "...Why?"

They smirked and said casually: "This is a punishment!"

To be honest, he didn't quite understand what he had done to the point of he deserved being stabbed like this.

The pain in his abdomen feels so real and his vision slowly begins to fade, after that... he can't remember the rest anymore.

As he contemplated thoughtfully over this fuzzy matter, suddenly his thought halts at the moment the door his own room opened as showed the figure of a little girl who was carrying a basin of warm water and a small towel.

For a moment Jane opened the door and saw that his father had woken up, she immediately called out with delight, "Daddy, you're awake, it's great!" Without hesitantly dashing toward him with excited and longing looks shine in her face.

Jane intended to hug her father whom she missed so much but she suddenly being stopped mercilessly by her dad, "Stop! put down the basin first, do you intend to water your own daddy with hot water?"

"Ugh," To think she almost forgot the basin in her hand.

She immediately put it on the table and then jump into her dad's bosom without so much thinking as she really missed her dad so much, "Daddy, I miss you!"

Father Lee laughed gleefully as he caressed his little girl's head with affection, "Haha I know" he kissed her head gently, "Dad also missed my little princess and little prince very much"

"Umm,"

Jane nodded as she buried her head deep in his dad's chest.

After a thousand years, she finally returned to her warm dad's arms.

A father who always protects her, who always takes care of her, who always guides her, and who always takes the blame when his children make mistakes.

Jane really wanted to cry badly in his arms, but fearing her father was worried, she just sobbed quietly.

"What's wrong? was there's someone bullied you?" Although Father Lee felt happy to have been missed by his own daughter, he felt something was out of place with his daughter's behavior.

Unforgivable someone dares to bully my precious daughter! He thought in rage.

Jane shook her head in his chest.

Father Lee smiled helplessly as though that his daughter just missed him too much.

He stroked her head again, he told her attentively, "You have to sleep, it's already midnight" he let go of his arms and then saw the face of his daughter whose eyes were slightly red, "Is my precious daughter crying?"

Jane hurriedly replied: "I'm not crying..." though she ended up with little tears as she wipes it off with her sleeve.

Father Lee laughed foolishly over the little girl's reaction: "Alright, alright! my precious daughter was such a strong girl who never shed a cry" he declared it teasely.

Jane felt embarrassed and pinched her dad's belly which makes Father Lee laughed heartily.

"Oh right, how did I ended up in my own room?"

Apparently, Father Lee is still concerned about this matter.

Jane innocently titling her head as she appear like she know nothing about the truth, "You did not know? Daddy, you're drunk and luckily someone found you sleeping in front of the house"

She secretly proud of her own acting skill and currently she had a feeling eagerly wants to ask... give me the award of the most innocent girl ever!

Father Lee awkwardly scratches his head, "Did... I?" it seems like he really got drunk and think too much, "By the way, who was the one who found me?"

Jane shrugged as if she didn't know him. "Just a passersby"

"Oh..." he did not pursue it any further and didn't think it too much neither.

Afterward, Jane told Father Lee many things over the past three days like about how the first day she moved to a new school, got new friends, and so on... they talked and laughed like it's been a long time.

The pleasant and joyfull moment lasted for an hour until finally, Jane unknowingly fell asleep in her dad's arms.

The next morning...

Jane woke up in her dad's bed. She sleepily went downstairs to the dining room and was greeted by the fragrant breakfast food that her dad usually served, egg fried rice.

Such nostalgia!

She saw her dad serving her little brother for breakfast.

"Morning Dad, Keith"

Keith greeted her back with his childish voice: "Morning Jean"

Father Lee warmly smiled: "Morning my little girl, do you sleep well?" he prepared a chair for his daughter, "Come, let's eat first!"

She immediately sat down and began to eat her breakfast.

Amid breakfast, Father Lee suddenly spoke: "Jane, you don't need to take Keith to kindergarten today, I'll take him instead"

Jane stopped chewing on her food and swallowed it: "Didn't you work today?"

Father Lee coughed slightly: "Your father has three days off, so I can accompany you two for those three days as compensation"

Jane clapped her hand, she grinned: "That's great!"

Father Lee laughed at his two children, he was grateful to have asked his boss for a few days off.

Jane goes to school and finds Lucas coming earlier than usual and snorts at her when passing her. That makes her feel of full of wonder... but she didn't ask him. Let him be, it a pain dealing with a brat!

She sat in her own chair and then her head involuntarily faced the window. The clearer she looked out the window the more she frowned as in a second, her face full of black lines all of sudden.

"What the heck is that person doing?"

Jane saw a man climbing to a tree carrying a binoculars in his hand. More importantly, this man is the black-suit man she met last night.

"What is he trying to do? Did he try to monitor me with that binoculars?" Jane sneered.

"Since you want to monitor me that badly, then I will satisfy your wishes!" Of course in another way!

Besides, did his mom never told him that peeping a girl was rude?

Therefore, she will give him a better material to peek at instead.

She drew something forming an invisible small magic circle in the window using her index finger. After she finished drew it, she smirked evilly.

On the other hand, Detector No. 20 finally with great difficulty he managed to climb a tree and sit on its sturdy branch, he held his aching hip due of climbing, "Dammit, I'm already old?"
