16 Purple Moon Lake

After Ling Xiao had passed down the Longevity Supreme Scripture to Xue Wei, he took out another ten thousand superior Spiritual Stones to form a Spirit Amassing Formation. This would enable Xue Wei to cultivate in tenfold the speed. He then left Jin Se Pavilion in preparation to search for the Diversified Golden Lotus Fire in Demonic Beast Mountains. 

Xue Wei had an unexpected talent that seemed to harbor an unusual bloodline. However, Ling Xue was could not have figured it out without Xue Wei beginning her cultivation journey.

Ling Xiao returned the courtesy with a smile and nod. After he left Mount Longevity, he headed North to the Demonic Beast Mountains. 

Entrenched at the back of Mount Longevity, Demonic Beast Mountains had an overgrown forest and soaring lofty mountains that expanded within its 3,000 miles radius. Although many powerful demonic beasts could be found within, the same could be said for its valuable treasures, which made it a popular spot for masters to temper themselves. 

In fact, Demonic Beast Mountains was formerly known as Longevity Mountains ten thousand years ago as its 3000 miles radius territory fell under Longevity Sect. During then, the sect's disciples were numbered in millions and it was where omnipotent masters gathered. Suspended mountain peaks, palaces, and towers were established all over the place. Clouds tinged with sunset hues were shrouded over the land, giving an illusion of a Divine Realm. 

However, ten thousand years brought about change to everything. 

While Longevity Sect dwindled to a mountain top, Longevity Mountains became the demonic beasts' playground. 

Out of the three spiritual mountains filled with spiritual energy, Longevity Sect had only managed to retain Mount Longevity, this ancestral piece of land while the other two spiritual mountains were occupied by Indulgence Sect and Heavenly Demons Hall. 

"I'll personally seize back everything Longevity Sect have lost once I've climbed to the top!"

As Ling Xiao steadily took his pace, his eyes beamed with fierceness. 

"I wonder if Purple Moon Lake is still around. It was Jin Se's favorite spot!"

Ling Xiao set his gaze afar where there seemed to be an overcast of purple aura. After so many years, Ling Xiao could not ascertain whether the Purple Moon Lake was still there. 

"I'll go take a look!"

Ling Xiao hastened his speed, traveling dozens of feet at each stride towards the direction in his memory. 

As the forest grew denser, a faint sense of danger lingered in the air.

At the sound of the howl, a huge dark figure pounced out of the forest in a huge gust of wind and opened its bloody mouth in an attempt to swallow Ling Xiao. 

"If it's death you seek!"

A glint of coldness flashed past Ling Xiao's eyes as he pulled a punch without flinching. A powerful fist force then cut through the air, bursting into a crackling noise.

Following the dull crash, Ling Xiao's body remained still while the huge dark figure flew away from the impact. 

It was a demonic beast as tall as a person. Covered head to toe in black scales, it had a tiger-like head with horns. Its blood-thirsting eyes were fixated on Ling Xiao. 

It was a first stage demonic beast, Armored Tiger!

A first stage demonic beast was comparable to Pulse Unsealing Boundary. Judging by this Armored Tiger's life force, it was at the peak of first stage and at the verge of advancing to the second stage. 

Moreover, the outer shell on this Armored Tiger was so sturdy, a True Qi Boundary master would find a hard time breakthrough its defense, let alone a Pulse Unsealing Boundary master. 

It assumed that Ling Xiao would make an easy target, but instead, it hit a wall. 

Sensing Ling Xiao was not one to mess with, the Armored Tiger glared at him before it turned to make a run. 

"Trying to flee? Die!" Ling Xiao chuckled. At the flash of his figure, Ling Xiao arrived behind the Armored Tiger and followed up with another powerful punch. 

This was Lesser Titanium Punch but Ling Xiao brought to its full potential.

Ling Xiao struck punch after punch of explosive energy onto the Armored Tiger. Paired with Longevity Footwork, the Armored Tiger had nowhere to run with Ling Xiao stuck so close to it. In the end, Ling Xiao crushed through the scales on its body, promptly sending it to its death!

"The feeling of punching straight to the flesh is great!"

Ling Xiao was overcome with a powerful combat intent. Although he had a memory of his past life, this body was too weak. He still had to hone himself through actual battles in order to recover his former combat effectiveness. 

The Demonic Beast Mountains was the perfect place to train.

As Ling Xiao walked out of the dense forest, the path ahead cleared up to a picturesque valley. Amid the valley was a purple lake shaped like a purple crescent moon. It was a sight to behold. 

"Purple Moon Lake's still here?"

Ling Xiao's eyes lit up, and he quickened his pace. 

Purple Moon Lake was situated between the three mountains, in a rather hidden location. It was not easily discovered but the scenery in the valley was breathtaking. 

Flowerbeds of lavender surrounded the Purple Moon Lake, filling the air with a heavy fragrance. There was also a waterfall in a distance from which clear water flowed and amassed in the Purple Moon Lake. 

Purple Moon Lake's water appeared purple due to a Purple Blood Spiritual Stone at the bottom of it. Emitting an enshrouding purple aura, this stone was extremely precious. It was capable of improving constitutions and cleansing cores to start afresh. 

Ling Xiao did not think that Purple Moon Lake would still be preserved after ten thousand years. 

"Although the people of today have not seen the moon of yesterday, the moon of today has shone upon the people of yesterday. Jin Se, how have you been?"

Ling Xiao stood by Purple Moon Lake as he looked at the surrounding lavender flowerbeds. His eyes glossed with a faint layer of sorrow.

Suddenly, out came a naked woman from the gurgling lake water. Her smooth fair skin was as white as a sheep as it glowed in radiance under the sun. 

Ling Xiao was dumbstruck for a moment. 

This woman was perfect in every way. 

She had beautiful black silky hair and exquisite facial features — supple lips, magnificent big eyes, flawless face that embodied a goddess that had descended upon earth. 

Most importantly, she was bare and exposed in front of Ling Xiao. 

The woman too was stunned but she immediately regained her senses. With her cheeks flushed red, she flew into a rage out of embarrassment. At a flicker of glow in her hand, a red dress fastened over her body, covering any immodesty. 

"Have you seen enough?"

With an anger-suppressed voice ringing in Ling Xiao's ear, he subconsciously answered, "No!"

However, he soon realized that he was in a bind. When he lifted his head, he noticed the woman's face of murderous intent. 

"Pervert, I'll kill you!" the woman in red shouted with a tremble as she stared coldly back at him. A stroke of blade light that contained a chilling sword aura slashed over Ling Xiao's head.
