Nangong Xuan caught the book but after hearing Ling Xiao's words, he was so shocked that he jumped. In turn, it caused his hands to tremble and he almost dropped the ancient scroll. He glanced around with wary before he carefully kept it away. His face revealed his shocked state. 

It seemed like Ling Xiao had indeed inherited Sky Devouring Supreme's legacy or else he would not have been able to retrieve Longevity Supreme Scripture from the Scripture Library.

Nangong Xuan was not the least bit jealous. In fact, he was overjoyed and thrilled.

He needed all five elements of peerless spiritual seeds to crystalize Sky Devouring Spiritual Seed and in turn, to materialize Sky Devouring Secret Technique. It seemed as if collecting all five was not going to be easy.

The often mind-blanking maid, Xue Wei still could not believe that her young master had become Longevity Sect's Saint in such a short amount of time. 

"Young master, am I dreaming?"

"Young master, I wish to cultivate too. Then, I'll be able to protect young master, unlike before when I too powerless to do anything but could only watch as young master was bullied..." the young girl spoke in a low tone while she extended her tender fist.

"Xue Wei, there's a lot of hardships that come with cultivation. There will also be times when it can be life-threatening. You can't imagine the cruelty of this world. Are you still willing to cultivate?" Ling Xiao smiled. 

"I'm... I'm not afraid! I'm not afraid of the hardships or the danger. I'm not afraid as long as I'm able to protect young master!" Xue Wei's eyes twinkled of persistence. 

"Great, if that's the case, I'll pass the Longevity Supreme Scripture down to you!"
