10 Selfish Desire

Finished with food i sat still for a while, observing others in a not obvious way. Those three girls eat in an elegant way, still quite a distance from my class though. It is strange, I thought there would be a long line of guys proposing to them as they are quite attractive. I know many are interested in those three girls as I noticed quite a number of boys staring at them. Must be a lack of balls.

Picking up the dirty plate, I stand up and went towards the basin. The hall turned silent for a moment as everyone stared at me. *sigh* Every little movement from me attract peoples. That is what I call true class.

"Your cheeks is turning red. Are you blushing Puppet?"

I ignored this lonely guy. Still I watched my reflection on the mirror at the sink where the basin was located. I couldn't find a flaw. Hah, stop trying to fool me Soul.

"But you checked. Meaning you are not confident. I won."

Ignoring Soul, I headed to where the Principle's Office would be. Exactly as I remembered, There is no mistake in my memories about this academy's blueprint. How many more talents I have? Every skill of mine is on the pinnacle everyone would be envious to death.

"Pinnacle my ass... Could you at least stop being full of yourself?"

I stopped in my tracks. Laughed a little.

"Haha that's funny. You know full well who did it."

Then I resumed my walk towards the objective, Principal Dominic's Office. A few turns here and there, the room is now right in front. I knocked three times.

*Knock Knock Knock*

"Come in." A voice sounded behind the door.

Slowly opening the door, I noticed the principle is busy signing the mountains of paper on his desk. He hasn't looked up to me yet. I continued to watch as it is rude to disturb someone when they are focussing on a task. Then suddenly the hand holding the pen stopped.

"What is it? I'm a busy man." Said Dominic while raising his head to view the me. Then his hand trembled a bit.

"Forgive my rudeness Mr Lux. I didn't notice it was you since I'm so busy doing all this." He said while gesturing towards all of his desk.

"I see you've been working hard and stressing over something.. Do you need someone to talk to? or is it something that needs my attention?"

Seeing that he have a hard time to make response I interjected him as I waved my arm.

"If you ever need to talk to someone, I'm here for a year at least. Now I need you to call up that female facilitator. Have something to talk to her."

The principal struggled for a while seemingly wanted to say something but it got stuck on his throat. Swallowing it, the principal informed her by calling her on the phone.

I remain standing as it doesn't seem appropriate for me to sit down in front of the principle. He might have a heart attack if I do so. About 5 minute later the door swung open.

"What happened dad?! It sounded urgent!"

A high pitched voice hurts my ear. I still stand there frozen like a statue. The principle just pointed towards me while his eyes are glued to the mountain of paper works on his desk.

"Gray Lux. You can call me Mr Lux if you wish."

Startled she jumps back and stops just an inch before hitting the table.

"Who are you!? What are you doing here? Are you threatening my father!?"

Lazy to repeat what i just said, I just stand there looking at her dumbly. The principal spoke after seeing me not talking.

"Mr Lux, she's my daughter Denise Dominic. Princess, he is the guy that wanted to meet you, Mr Gray Lux our city founder. Now please, speak politely in front of Mr Lux."

Before she could get a word out of her mouth, I spoke first.

"Miss Denise, I'm sorry to have disturbed you but could you please listen to my selfish desire? You are the one in charge of this registration event right? Would it be possible that for the rest of the registration period, I wanted every people could have a simple hearty meal before registering and while waiting for the introduction video to start, please prepare a bit of snack. I will bear the cost so there is no need to worry about spending the academy's budget."

"Uh Assuming that you pay for all of it, yes it's possible. Any reasons why you would want that?"

"The majority of people lining up for registering is made up from the poor who needed the allowance to survive here in the city. I imagine they wouldn't eat much during breakfast or whether they had any in the first place. I am always concerned about the people's well being. It is my selfish desire that I want everyone in this city to be able to live happily without suffering. Being constantly hungry till death is one of the worst suffering there is.." I said while trying my best to look solemn.

"If there are any problems, please feel free to tell me. I will help however much I can. Now then, sorry for disturbing the both of you. I shall take my leave." Then I turned around and went out of the room looking a bit lost. I hope my emotions appears correctly, then I'll have more benevolent side shown to the citizens. Manipulation of people's emotion is a very scary trick.

There is a lot to do, task to delegate, letters to be send and projects to be researched. I hope my time in this academy won't be a waste.

Meanwhile in the Principal's Office.

"Dad, i thought you said that he is a dictator. Ruling over the entire town with cruelty but didn't he seems to care about ordinary people?"

"Little Princess, he is a dictator. That is a fact no one can deny. A good dictator nonetheless. Nobody would be able to do what he did. Elaminating the slums, elaminating the poverty status of the poor and providing houses to every citizen. Just these 3 task is impossible to be done and he had done a lot more to the peoples. He cares about people, that's what makes him different from other leader. Now please, show some respect towards our savior."
