8 Rewriting History

Everything was black. Nope, they just turned off the lights. The only source of light now is that giant curved screen above the center platform. Ah it's going to play a movie.

The scene depicted a busy street in broad daylight. A typical working day of before the calamity. A large shadow is casted down upon the city. The people started to look up wondering if its going to pour down. Everyone is confused as they saw a giant ship floating above the city. It was so big it covered the whole sky. Without warning or any sign, a ray of light shot randomly toward tall buildings.

Fearing for their lives the people ran for their live as the traffic was stuck with many vehicles. As if destroying buildings wasn't enough, robots started to rain down upon the city in vast numbers. They withstood the fall like it was nothing and started to shoot at every living thing be it animals or humans.

The scene switched to another city after every damage have been done. Another well known city of the past is shown on the screen. They showed various well known city icons like a tower, statue or a building. Wait, they were called countries in the past.. not that it matters.

I looked around and saw various expression on the young people's face. Hey this is all made up, don't get too worked up on it. Hahaha now the soldiers showed up.

An epic scene of tanks ramming through wall was showed. Then a guy operating the HMG on top wiped clean the street of the robots while miraculously avoiding a mother and son pair hugging in fear. A soldier extends his hand towards them while saying

"You're safe now ma'am. Follow me to the shelter."

*Haaah~* so cliche. Is this the work of that principle? or someone else. Whoever did this.. I'll find out. Twisting facts and lies just isn't me. For now let's just endure this lies.

I noticed some rather interesting expression from two girls at the front. They looked to be quite charming albeit not fully developed yet. Though it is for sure I am More Charming than them. Kids, they can't compare to me at all. I'm getting sidetracked and Soul would probably interrupt if I go on.. Even if it is true.

One girl wears a quite expensive branded clothes. A bit conservative though it is very appropriate a dress for school except that this is no ordinary school. Attending events like this is fine but for a live combat exercise, she won't be able to perform to the fullest. It is a simple two - piece clothe of white color. She wore a brown colored picnic hat with a black ribbon. Seriously who wears a hat to school? Anyway she showed an expression of disgust towards the video shown. From the way she's dressed it is easy to assume that she is from a powerful family and she knows about the true history. Probably disgusted at the attempt of this academy to mislead people. A blond hair at neck length can be seen left hanging freely. I can't judge her based on this right? A rebellious teenage girl who hates the system and pursues freedom. Just a speculation from the hat, hair and dress that she chose to wear.

"I'll let you immerse to your heart's content for 3 minute puppet If you are right."

"I've missed your voice already. I feel so lonely I've forgotten about you. If I'm wrong what do you want?"

"See that black haired petite kid? Raise her up as your sidekick. I don't mind if you fall in love with her though."

"Soul... Don't tell me your are in into small girls.. Pedo?"

"She's 21. 3 years above the legal age. What I'm attracted to is her pure heart. I want to add it to my collection."

"...I'll try. If you win the bet anyway."

The other kid is a red haired beauty. She wears moderately priced clothe. She wears a red laced up corset on top of her black dress. The dress is long enough to cover her legs. A black fur coat was worn on top of that. Doesn't it gets hot wearing that? The corset too.. it is a pity she have a small otherwise flat chest.

"You're looking at a kid's chest and you said I'm a pedo? haha."

"That kind of dress up is suitable. I could teach her how to be elegant. She looks talented too. From the dress, it have no brands so probably a well off middle class family or a fallen family of the old days. She seems to know that the video shown is a deliberate lie."

Looking back at the screen the soldiers were getting pushed back. Some died, lots were injured. When all is seems lost, a couple of a smaller ships arrived on top of the city. A robot aiming at a defenseless soldier was headshotted by an energy rifle. An army wearing robotic suits descends from their ships and repelled the robot army. When the robot large ship was charging a powerful ray, two different rays were shot towards the robot ships first leading to its destruction. A fallen spaceship on top of a large city however is hardly the best of a situation.

Several similar event were taking place in different countries. Eventually they all agreed to have a meeting to discuss the loss of lives, building and systems of many countries. More importantly the robots were rebranded as The harvester for reasons unknown.

Lights begin to emerge slowly inside this huge hall.

"Remember what they did to us! Those robots are our number 1 enemy. The one that kills almost seventy percent of our world's population. The humans with robotic suit you saw was what our brothers in other world have achieved. So let us work hard researching and developing new technology so that we can stand on our own the next time. Now please watch this short introduction to our academy grounds, location and classes."

The screen once again are showing the various location on this academy. I wasnt interested in looking at it as I was the one who designed this academy. My memories are very good so I doubt I'm going to be lost.
