Chapter 4: Pewter City Gym

The story starts of in the morning with the two isekai'd friends in a room in the Pokécenter in Peweter city they stayed in for the night.

"Aahhhh, what a great shower" Gray said as she walked out of the bathroom with a towel around her.

"Ahh! No go get dressed in the bathroom" Julian screams in terror as Gray starts to remove her clothes to get dressed.

"Hmph, you should be happy to see my body you bastard" she pouts as she grabs her clothes and walks back into the bathroom.

Once Gray gets dressed she comes out of the bathroom to find Julian with breakfast in hand.

Julian gives Gray some coffee and toast as he munched on the cereal he got for himself.

"Thank you so much" her eyes light up when she grabs the hot cup of coffee which she chugs in a couple of seconds. "Ahhhh, sooo good".

After the two finish with their breakfast they head out of the Pokécenter with a quick thank you to Nurse Joy.

The two friends are now looking for the Pewter city gym so they can challenge the gym leader and get their first badge.

"So Gray how are you going to beat Brock with a type disadvantage" He asks his female friend.

"Agh, don't remind me" she groans to him. "I'm either going to use hit and run tactics or just try to use brute force" she said answering his question.

"If I remember correctly Brock was a big pervert in the anime so maybe you could flirt the badge out of him" he said trying to come up with a strategy for his friend.

"Ewww, no that's gross" she fake puked. "Plus I want to beat him fairly and even if I do try to flirt with him we don't now of if we're in the anime or games so it might not work" she shot back.

As the two kept on trying to make strategies to help Gray they arrived in front of the gym.

"Here it is our first big step towards becoming a Legendary Pokémon trainer" Gray said as she and Julian walked through the doors of the gym and up to the receptionist.

"Hello and welcome to the Pewter city gym, are you two here to challenge Brock?" The receptionist asked.

"Yes we are miss" Julian answered the receptionist.

"Ok then show me your trainer I'd's and you'll be allowed to go in" both Julian and Gray gave the woman their trainer I'd's and allowed them to go in and challenge Brock.

As Julian went onto the arena to fight Brock Gray went up to the viewer box to watch the battle.

There in front of Julian was the first gym leader Brock, Brock had his arms crossed as he addressed Julian.

"What is your name challenger" Brock asked.

"Julian Shadow" he answered

"Alright then Julian this will be a one on one battle, you win if you knock out all of your opponents Pokémon and you lose of you forfeit or all your Pokémon are unable to battle" Brock informed him.

Julian nodded his understanding.

"Challenger release you first Pokémon" the girl acting as referee called out.

"Go Venipede" Julian called out his newest catch in a flash of red light. "Venipede this is a gym battle I need your best for this" he informed his Pokémon who nodded on understanding.

"My turn, go Geodude" in a flash of light Brock sent out his Pokémon, Geodude is a brownish-gray boulder Pokémon. It has bulging, rocky eyebrows, trapezoidal, brown eyes, and a wide mouth. Its arms are muscular with five-fingered hands.

"You can go first" Brock told Julian.

"Venipede poison sting" Venipede fired poison needles at the opposing Pokémon, Geodude tried to dodge but was to slow and got hit by the poison sting poisoning the rock type.

"Geodude sandstorm" a strong sandstorm formed on the field blocking Geodude from Venipede's view.

"Now Geodude rollout" Geodude came rolling out of the sandstorm at high speeds behind Venipede.

"Venipede use protect behind you" The poison type formed a shield behind himself which Geodude crashed into.

"Now use rollout" Venipede curled up into a ball and started spinning at Geodude.

"Geodude catch it and slam it" Geodude did just that and stopped the rolling Venipede and lifted him up in the air ready to slam it.

"Poison sting, follow up with rollout" Venipede fired of a point blank Poison sting into Geodude causing the rock type to release it, when Venipede landed on the ground it rolled up into a ball and rolled at Geodude at high speeds sending it into a wall knocked out.

"Geodude is unable to battle the challenger wins" the referee called out.

"That was a great battle, here take the Boulder badge" Brock said as he congratulated Julian.

"Next challenger" Brock called as Julian walked up to the viewer box.

"You did great!" Gray congratulated Julian as they met halfway.

"Don't congratulate yet you still need to beat Brock" Julian reminded her.

"Your right watch me kick his ass" Gray shouted out as she walked down to the arena.

When She got there she noticed that Brock had a dopey look on his face as he looked at her.

"Please marry me!" He shouted at a disgusted Gray.

"*this is definitely the anime Brock*" she thought with a sweat drop.

"Sorry but I don't swing that way lover boy" she said with a wink towards the now depressed Gym leader.

"Can I at least know the name of the beauty in front of me" Brock asked.

"It's Gray Redwood and don't you forget it" she answered.

"Ok Gray do you know the rules" Gray nodded her head.

"Battlers ready" the referee received two nods.

"Challenger choose your Pokémon" The referee called out towards Gray.

"Go Tepig" in a flash of light tepig was released.

"Defender choose your Pokémon" she called to Brock.

"Alright your turn Onix" Gray gulped when she saw Onix, Onix is a Pokémon composed of a giant chain of gray boulders that become smaller towards the tail. Its length makes it the tallest Rock-type Pokémon. It has black eyes and a rounded snout. On top of its head is a rocky spine.

"I'm sorry but you will not win this" Brock said with a serious face.

"That's ok we're ready for a real challenge right Tepig" she asked her partner.

"Tepig te" he voiced his agreement.

"The battle starts now" the referee shouted out the the two battlers.

"Ok Tepig light it up with style, ember now" Tepig fired an ember attack at Onix who dodged the attack easily.

"Onix get in close and use Smack down" Onix moved surprisingly fast for something so big as it stopped in front of Tepig and raised it's tail up high to slam down on Tepig.

"Tepig dodge and use tackle" Tepig dodged the incoming tail with ease as Onix slammed it's tail where Tepig was before, Tepig then jumped at Onix's head and delivered a tackle to the giant rock snake.

"Onix bind" the tackle did hardly anything as Onix wrapped it's rocky body around Tepig and started squeezing him.

"Ember right into it's face and don't stop" Tepig complied with his trainer and fired multiple ember attacks into Onix's face.

"Oniiiii" it cried in pain when an ember hit it in the eye but that proved to be a mistake as Tepig aimed the rest of the ember attacks at it's open mouth.

Onix let go of Tepig and slithered away from the fire pig.

"Onix tackle" the large snake Pokémon charged at Tepig wanting to get revenge.

"Tepig let's end this, use ember and charge strait through it with tackle" Tepig's body got coated in flames as he ran through the ember attack it used creating a rip off Flame Charge.

Onix and Tepig met half way Tackle against the rip off Flame charge. When they collided there was a loud crunch as Tepig created a huge crack in the centre off Onix's head winning Gray the battle when Onix collapsed unconscious.

"Onix is unable to battle the challenger wins" the referee called doing her job.

"Well done you trained your Tepig well" Brock complimented as he shook hands with Gray.

"Thanks but Tepig did most of the work I only told him what to do" she said as let go of his hand.

"That still tells me a lot about you as a trainer so here is the Boulder badge" He said giving her the badge.

"Thank you so much I owe you one" she shouted back to Brock as she left the gym with Julian.

As they did they walked past a trainer but not just any trainer it was Ash Ketchum but neither Gray or Julian noticed him walk by as they were to busy congratulating each other.

"Now that that's done let's head to Mt Moon, I want to catch a ground or rock type" she said with stars in her eyes as she put the badge in her badge case.

"Let's get some supplies first it'll be a long journey through the mountain" Julian advised.

"Sure let's go" Gray responded as she ran to the Pokémart leaving a sighing Julian behind.

"What am I going to to with him or is it her, Augh!, I don't know anymore" He yelled to himself as he started to give chase to his more excitable friend.

There done the first gym now on to Mt Moon and their are going to be a few surprises there so you now have something to wait for and let me tell you it's pretty shiny.

Also longest chapter so far so yay.

And finally your probably wondering why Julian didn't use Mudkip and that's because it would have been to easy so I wanted to give Venipede a chance.
