The Grand Event 3/4

"Behold! Human cavalry battle!" Midnight announced as she moved her arms toward the hologram, making her boobs sway in harmony, mesmerizing a few pervert students.

"Human cavalry...?" "What do we have to do?" "Such weird trials..."

Some students talked to themselves, making the small crowd of 42 students louder than a few seconds ago.

"Silence kids!" Midnight shouted, making her whip crack in the air, a few students at the front, took a step back, afraid of being collateral damage from the almost nude teacher.

"I will now explain the rules!

As you all said, it isn't a game where you play as individuals, in fact here you will be making teams of 2 to 4 people freely, and form yourselves in a horse-back configuration. Basically, it's the same rules as a normal cavalry battle: swipe enemy riders' headbands and guard your own. But! There is a little twist as you will all receive points based on your last performance..." She declared, making a pause to look at the understanding faces of the students in front of her.

Some were smiling as they had a pretty high position, and some were nervous because of the contrary, or the same thing.

They knew that the higher their points were, the higher the chances of being targetted were.

It is then, not very surprising to see the contrast of reaction of the crowd.

Once she was over with the reaction of her students, she started talking again.

"... You all understood, that the value of your teams will change based on who there is inside. Your individual's points will be 5 if you placed 42nd, 10 if you placed 41st, 15 for the 40th place, and so on...

With the very very little exception of the 1st place, whose head is worth ten million points!" She announced, very suddenly.

When her voice's dropped, a heavy silence was cast on the crowd as all eyes turned toward the purple-haired boy.

"Yo... what?" Kotei couldn't help but whispered in disbelief as it was a scenario he wasn't expecting.

It wasn't the end of Midnight's speech, as she added a layer of animosity against the human singularity.

"If I were you, I would aim for the guy who placed first! It is the chance of the low to supplant the high! Welcome to our survival game!"

In the audience, a blond man talked to his blue-haired friend which was getting quite excited, despite what just have been announced.

She was energetically jumping on her spot, making her hair wave quite beautifully.

"Aren't you nervous for him, Nejire-chan? Everyone will be targeting him now." Mirio asked, catching her attention as she stopped jumping and turned toward him, a big smile on her face.

"Not at all! I know him and it is the best way for him to show how handsome he is! It won't even be a challenge for Kotei." She assured, pretty confident of her boyfriend.

"Mhm... You said that but it will still be hard... Nobody would want to team with him." A dark blue-haired boy, who didn't talk for a while suddenly said.

He had a kind of aura near him, making people easily overlook him.

"Mhm..." Nejire began to ponder on Tamaki's words, finding that what he said was pretty logical.

A few seconds later, she finally exclaimed, before nodding furiously, having found the best answer.

"They just have to make an exception!"

"I don't think that they wil-" Tamaki began his sentence, but his voice was cut by Midnight's shout.

"As per the request of our student in the first position, Kotei Juryoku will participate alone! But do not worry the rules still apply to him, as he won't be allowed to touch the ground!"

"What? It won't be a cavalry battle anymore then!" Tamaki said in disbelief, not believing that they did such a huge exception in the rules.

"Ahaha! As expected of Nejire's boyfriend, he doesn't fear anything!" Mirio, aka the cartoon guy, said, pretty excited to see what he will do."

"Go Kotei! Go~!" Meanwhile, Nejire continued to shout happy about the turn of events.

"I can't believe they really agreed with your proposition," Momo said, nearing Kotei who was waiting.

His headband was placed on his forehead, slightly fluttering because of the wind.

"To be honest, me too. I guess that they wanted me to lose, so I become more humble." He replied, looking at her black iris with his purple ones.

"Well, knowing you, they will be pretty surprised then." She said, agreeing with his hypothesis.

"Who knows?" He then turned toward her team, more precisely Shoto who was glaring at him with almost as much fervor as the blond kid who looked ready to literally explode anytime.

"Yaoyorozu! Come back, it will start soon!" Iida called the girl from the distance, making some weird movements with his arms.

"Ah! Good luck Kotei!" She said, walking back toward her team, just after hearing his reply.

"Good luck to you too."

'I am almost nervous.' Kotei thought, as his feet began to levitate a few centimeters above the ground.

The trial was going to start in a few seconds now, and Kotei looked at the surrounding teams of 3 to 4 people.

His eyes then met the ones of Midoriya, who did not have his usual emotions in them. It was almost as if he was...

'... determined. He is dead set on beating me. It won't make any difference though.' Our main character though is more than ready to beat everyone coming for him.

He did not care about points as his original score was enough to assure him the first place. He only needs to keep the headband on his forehead.

Suddenly, Present Mic's voice was heard by everyone through the speakers.

"Now raise your warcries and fire the signal! Now's the time for UA's deadly feud!"

The students' hearts were racing like crazy as they all looked toward this one student in particular. He was floating a few meters above the grounds, with a poker face as he looked toward the teams ready to pounce on him.

His eyes seem to shine a dark purple as he looked more focused than a few seconds ago.

'Let's do it.' Kotei though, already having a strategy.

"Start!" The pro hero's voice was heard one time again, this time announcing the beginning of the trial.

As he finished his word, the majority of the teams were running toward the man with the ten million points, thinking that as he was alone, his points would be really easy to take.

"Not even worth my time." He said saying that the people of his class were staying at a certain distance from him, and only the randoms nobodies were going toward him.

The first team reaching his position was a team of three whose rider had a type of elastic quirk.

The random extended his arm toward Kotei's face as if to take him by surprise.

However, Kotei did not even show a slight sign of surprise as he simply had caught his hand and yanked him toward his spot. Because of the strength difference, the student who was obviously not very well held by his teammates was sent flying toward Kotei.

His face was then attracted by Kotei's open palm, making his flying body move toward it at a quicker pace, head first.

"[Gravity Will: Mighty Pull]"

Grabbing the guy by his face, he looked at the teams which stopped their progress toward his position.

"You can keep try, but I promise that you are not going to win." He said as he let the guy fall on the ground.

He was not hurt at all, but pretty disoriented. It was not the worst thing as not a second after, Midnight's voice echoed through the area.

"XXXX touched the ground! His team and himself can't participate anymore!"

The team's headband was inside Kotei's palm after looking at it for not even a second, he put it on his own.

They seem to understand that he was from now not worth the risk as they directed their claws toward the more manageable teams.

"Tsk. I will fucking explode this guy." Katsuki said seeing the scene.

He knew that in such an environment, he could only be a doll in Kotei's hands if he decided to attack him fearlessly.

He also had a pretty good strategy, but unbeknownst to him, his plan was mimicked by a few people already, as they realized the same thing he did.

'As expected... they will come here in the last minutes. I just have to wait.' Kotei thought, resuming his meditation a little higher than before.

A few minutes later, the timer was almost over and the majority of teams were eliminated.

"Finally... you guys are here." Kotei said, opening his eyes.

He was still sitting in the air, his legs and arms crossed.

"One minute left kids!" Midnight announced, to the crowd and students.

"Heard that? You better try really hard now." He said, a smirk appearing on his face.

'Funny, I feel like the final villain.'

Hearing that, Katsuki threw away his previous plan as the only thing on his mind now was to beat Kotei up. Similarly, Todoroki's, Tetsutetsu's, and Midoriya's teams rushed toward him.

A few meters from Kotei, Katsuki jumped from his team's shoulders and flew toward him with the help of his explosion.

"Eat shit!" The air around Kotei and Katsuki heated up pretty quickly because of the blond's quirk and the explosion he tried to use against Kotei.

"No thanks." Kotei replied, deflecting his opponent hand, thus successfully deflecting his attack.

"Tch! Sero!" Bakugou shouted as he felt that Kotei's next move was going to make him touch the ground.

'That's a good instinct.' It was exactly Kotei's thought as he saw the tape which grabbed the blond kid and brought him toward his team.

'But right now...' He then looked toward the approaching teams.

Shoto was still on his team, a little further away than the other two which were Midoriya's and Tetsutetsu's.

Dark shadow was rushing him pretty quickly, disregarding any security and Tetsutetsu... Was shouting about being manly or something like that.

"Sorry in advance... [Gravity's..." Kotei said, making the teams more alarmed as they began to fall back even though they did not reach him yet.

"Fuck! Quickly fall back!" Katsuki shouted to his 'horses' as he knew about a few of Kotei's techniques.

Momo's also shouted her teammates to fall back as she knew that Kotei was waiting for them and planning to take all of them at the same time.

The timer was still running and only a few seconds were lasting.

'He is planning to make all of us lose right now?' Midoriya thought as his team was still moving further from the place.

The team of Tetsutetsu was also running away as they saw everyone's reaction.

'Fuck... I can't block his attacks and knowing the nature of the trial, his goal is surely to make us fall from our teammates.

"... Joke]" Kotei said aloud, lightly clapping his two hands together.

It immediately made the running away students stop in their tracks as they slowly turned back to look at him.

"Looks like..."

"Time's over kids!" Present Mic announced, the timer finally reaching zero.

"We have our final teams!

In the first position, the lone wolf, the unique Kotei Juryoku who bluffed his opponents beautifully and frighteningly! Then we have Todoroki's team, followed by Bakugou's team and Shinsou's team!"

"That's was a good prelude. I hope the ending would be good enough." Kotei said to himself, as he simply waited, for the next announcements.

"Wait! We are not finished! It seems like three students in Shinsou's team forfeited and since Juryoku fought alone, we have a lack of exactly 6 people!"

'Oh... Seems like fate's smiling at Midoriya's team. Well, whatever.' He thought, going toward the toilets and ignoring the next announcements.

It was obvious that Midoriya's team as the next one on the leaderboard was going to be selected to participate in the last trial.

And as expected, the totality of Midoriya's team was selected, and two students from Tetsutetsu's team were selected too.

At the same moment, in the men's toilet, two people were facing each other.

"Can I know why you followed me here... Todoroki?"
