557 557. Alexander Appears
"What are you?" Bradley asked Hats in shock. He had never seen an animal so fast and powerful.
"You are not worth telling." Hats replied and slashed Bradley's arm.
"Should I consider this an attack from the General Universe?" Bradley threatened.
But Hats didn't stop. "Hahaha... he's not even here and yet you are so scared of him. Go on, think whatever you want, but, soon you will realize how small you are in front of the grand scheme of things." He mocked him.
"So a mere cat will teach me about the world." Bradley didn't quit. Instead, he proceeded to take off his eyepatch. Hats and Ajax saw the Ouroboros tattoo on the eyeball.
This gave Bradley a special ability called the ultimate Eye. While it grants him an extra-sensory vision of his general surroundings, the Eye's true ability was precognition, allowing Wrath to perfectly and efficiently anticipate all variables and his opponent's attacks and take action with absolute efficiency without any effort.
He can adapt perfectly to all factors achieving maximum efficiency in offensive and defensive strategy, ensuring optimal results as long as there is the slightest chance and depending on the means at his disposal. A simple glance will detect his opponent's or obstacle's nature, strengths, weaknesses, etc. making him a perfect military field strategist.
He immediately anticipated Hats' claw strike and dodged it. Then he looked at Hats to understand his strengths and weaknesses.
But sad for Bradley. When you are against absolute strength, no amount of cunning and precognition can save you. Everything can be brought down with a strong punch. It was as if you were at the centre of an atomic bomb explosion. Even if you had a minute, you still wouldn't be able to escape it. Because the bomb represented absolute strength.
~How is this possible? How can it have no weakness?~ Bradley thought. But, he decided to abort and complete the mission he came to do.
He dashed towards another room in the bar that led to the underground tunnel sewer system.
Hats looked back at Ajax. But there was just empty air and Ajax was nowhere to be seen.
"DAMMIT... where did that brat run off to now." He complained. He also ran towards the sewer. Once he reached there, he was shocked to find a whole network of tunnels.
"Great, where did he run away now? I should put a leash on him the next time I see him...oh... I hear something." Hats ran into one of the tunnels from the big junction.
...
Ajax had run into the sewers because the girl inside Alphonse's armor had ran into there.
"STOP... I don't want to hurt you." Ajax shouted while running after Alphonse.
"Hey, stop it." Alphonse also voiced.
Eventually, the girl sitting inside the armour got tired and stopped. She breathed heavily.
"Ha...ha... This is too tiring." She huffed.
"Get out of Alphonse," Ajax shouted.
"No." She replied.
Ajax went forward and tried to take the helmet off but the girl also caught it. He didn't put too much strength as it would have spoiled the armour.
"Fine, then I will make sure you are never able to get out. You will now grow old while being in that armour. That will be a good lesson for you." Ajax tried to scare her.
*Steps*
All of them quieted down and saw Greed running towards them and behind him was Bradley. They saw him beating and cutting Greed again and again. Soon, Greed's friend came to help but they got slaughtered too.
"WHY ARE YOU KILLING THEM?" Alphonse asked.
After killing them all, he walked towards Alphonse. "They are traitors to Amestris. This is what we do with traitors. There is still one remaining, however."
"NO!" Ajax shouted. He knew that these people were most likely criminals but because they all had no other choice. They were forcefully experimented on by the government and this was the only way they could make a living as doing normal jobs would get them caught very fast. But, for their crimes, they only deserved the punishment allotted to thugs and not deaths.
Ajax ran to stop him from killing them. But, Ajax had superstrength, not super speed. Bradley, meanwhile, had already reached Alphonse.
Bradley proceeded to put the extra sword into the armor through the opening around the neck area. But, just at the right moment, he turned his sword towards the already moving Ajax. Ajax's own momentum was a threat to himself now.
"You still have a lot to learn, kid. But, too bad, you will not get a chance to do it." Bradley muttered. To him, this was the best opportunity to get rid of Ajax. He knew from Lust that this kid was too strong for his own good. Also, now he knew too much.
*CLANK*
Out of nowhere, another sword appeared and stopped Bradley's sword.
"I finally found you Ajax, and you, Bradley, nice eye tattoo you got there." Alexander's voice came.
Bradley quickly stopped to cover his eye but stopped in the middle. "What are you doing here, General?"
"Oh, my wife asked me to come here and help her find my grandson. You must know how important keeping your wife happy is. But what is this? You are trying to kill my Grandson?" Alexander asked, but it sounded more like a statement.
Bradley looked at Alexander with his Ultimate eye. But what he found out shocked him even more than when he saw Hats' evaluation. Right now, what his eye was telling him was that death was imminent for him if he fought Alexander.
"What are you?" Bradley asked him.
Alexander laughed, "Hahaha, this question is a bit ironic coming from you."
Alexander then moved closer to Bradley and whispered. "Start counting your days, I will be taking away everything you and your so-called Father hold dear. Just wait and watch everything get spoiled. Now, I recommend you walk back to the hole you call the central city. If you dare to do anything stupid, I will make sure all your secrets are out in the open. Along with the secrets of your whole central command that has already sold their integrity and honor for the false dream of immortality.
"Oh, one more thing, happy birthday, I have arranged some gifts for you."
"I know your birthday is not today, but still, my gifts are worthy of being called birthday surprises. Go now, or I'll be forced to kill you." Alexander warned him.
Bradley felt Alexander's killing intent and jumped back. He made some calculations in his mind and decided to leave. It was not worth it. It was already good that not many people were here.
"Grandpa, why did you let him go?" Ajax asked.
Alexander told him something, "Because he is just a pawn. I want to reach the mastermind and he will lead me to that mastermind. Anyway, let's head back. Olivia must be worrying. Ah, yes, Alphonse, tell that girl to come out."
Alphonse removed his head and let the scared girl come out. Alexander meanwhile reversed the time of a few bodies and brought them back to life. But, he also didn't let them forget the feeling of dying.
Alexander also put all of them in Time Torture of community service for 100 years. Then he gave them their instructions.
"Do not search for Greed. His path leads to death. He is a part of a grand scheme planned by the military meant to destroy the country and all its people. I can help you all get new identities and live an ordinary life. With a promise that when the time comes all of you will rise up and testify against Bradley and the Army." Alexander advised them.
"Why should we trust you, an army man?" Martel, the same girl argued.
"Because I saved you and I am the best chance you got to a better life. Take it or leave it, you all don't really mean much to me. I just wanted to help out of the kindness of my heart. The military isn't just filled with Bradleys, you know. Give me your answer by tonight. Take care." Alexander waved his hand and left with Ajax and Alphonse.
"AJAX! ALPHONSE!" Out of nowhere, two women appeared outside the building. They looked angry and ready to blast anything.
Alexander chuckled, "Ohoho... Oli, nice to see you."
