40 Meeting the Father :- 2
" So first of all let me tell you something in advance. I won't meet you until you have an Orange core." Hearing this Claude flinched but returned to his composure quickly and asked.
" Why ?"
" Because I have used most of my energy to meet you two times. If I want to meet you next time I would have to rely on your energy which can only be used when you reach Orange core." He said with a helpless smile. He also wanted to meet his son but the reality is different.
" So this time I am going to teach you about three things: Aura, imperial academy and Awakened people." He said.
" First tell me what Aura is according to you." He asked.
" Aura is a non elemental vessel for mana. An Aura can only be formed when you have a pure and true desire which is also strong. The reason why Aura is useful for rankers is because they can't manifest mana in physical and seeable form like magic users." Claude answered.
" Most of what you said is correct but for the last part. As I said before an Aura cannot be copied but it requires to be created. The reason why rankers can create it is because they are emotionally imbalanced. And the reason why magic users can't create it is because they are studious and can control their emotions." He continued.
" Awakeneds see the Aura as something different. They think that Aura is the manifestation of yourself. Your knowledge is limited to humanoid species. That's why you don't know that some Auras are seen commonly in a specific race or species."
" For example Eren's Aura of Bloodlust is commonly seen in vampire nobles." He said.
" Is that a good thing or a bad thing ?" Claude asked, worried.
" It's neither, you can think that Eren is special or unique because he can use the Aura used by the vampire nobles without being a vampire but that also limits his potential. He won't be able to take the Aura of Bloodlust at the same level of those vampires unless..." He said with a pause as if thinking whether or not to tell something to Claude.
" .....He draws out a hidden potential of the Aura or gets turned into a vampire. In Buratti continent the vampires are not very strong but if the word of Eren's Aura spread across the seas then it will be a matter of time until one of the vampire progenitors turns him into a vampire. After all, for them someone who can use their trademark is a liability as well as an opportunity. By turning Eren into a vampire they are creating a potential vampire who can evolve further into their hierarchy and evolution tree." He concluded.
" Your Aura is a bit special." He said.
" Your Aura is commonly seen in dragons or demons, mostly in dragons." When he said that Claude became tense.
" I won't say much about your Aura because that is something you should find yourself. Your Aura is a rarity within rarity because it has very high potential. Even higher than the Aura of Bloodlust. Something seen in dragons, one of the Ancient beasts, is not something you can joke about even in an awakens. The only problem is that you will have varying paths and you won't be able to choose a particular path. The outcome of your Aura in future depends on yourself." He finally concluded.
" Won't my potential be hindered just like Eren ?" What Claude was referring to was that won't he also be required to be a dragon to reach the full potential of his Aura.
" No, the reason why Eren's potential might be hindered is because there isn't much known about his Aura except the things I said but even non awakened people who are veterans know a lot about your Aura and it has many varying potentials. In short if Eren's Aura is unpredictable then your Aura is predictable but there are thousands of results." He concluded.
When he saw that his son understood everything he said he decided to move on to the next topic.
" I am going to tell you something about Aura which can only be known in the imperial academy or by a veteran. Aura is divided into a few stages which are needed to be known but are not shared either to understand the potential of the Aura user or they don't want to." He continued.
" They are divided as :-
Aura Creation
Aura control
Aura manipulation
Aura Authority."
" They are again further divided but I don't know about them as before dying I only reached the Aura manipulation stage." When he said that Claude asked :-
" You are telling me that you were 486 years old but you were only able to reach the 3rd stage. Is it that hard ?"
" My case was a bit different. I had many disciplines which I wanted to grow in and unlike you my Aura was created when I was 73 years old. Your case was a bit different, your emotions were so strong during the time of Ellen's death that led to you creating your Aura early. And unlike most of the awakens who like to fight, grow stronger, research and experiment, I also preferred living a social life and doing some non awakened work."
" Like ?"
" Cooking, in the current modern era men can't cook. I loved doing jobs in different restaurants as a chef. I even met your mother in a restaurant. At that—" Before he can continue Claude interrupted him.
" Don't you have limited time ? And you want to waste this precious time talking about your love story ?" Claude asked in a mocking tone.
" Hmph, then let's continue." He said, a bit annoyed by his son's manners.
" So except for this stage there is another way to make your Aura stronger. By evolving it. If you meet a certain requirement your Aura can further evolve but that is a rare case and not many people, even ancient beasts were able to evolve their Aura. The other way to make your Aura grow stronger naturally is by merging your Aura." He said.
" How can you do that ?"
" You can't do that because you only have one type of Aura, at least for now. People who have more than one Aura can even merge them but the chances of two mergeable Aura appearing in a single being is rare."
" Except for this, Aura can be classified and categorised in different ways. Eren's Bloodlust Aura can be called as a variation of a Deadly sin type Aura of Lust. While your Aura is directly categorised as one of the 7 Deadly sins."
