2 2 Forever goodbyes

"I-I'm not fit to be a paper girl, look at me!" The soldier demon looked me up and down, I was covered in sweat and smelled of raw potato's. "You will learn to be a paper girl wether your fit now or not." "Now get packed" "Please! Grandma don't make me do this!" She looked to the floor, "I'm so sorry I can't change the princes mind. Excuse me could you leave us for a moment?" "Sure." Grandma comes and gives me a hug. I reach my hand to my necklace and give it a squeeze out of habit. My grandmas eyes start to drop with tears and that's when I know this is for real. Not some nightmare no, this is real. I cry, I cry as hard as I cried when we lost mom. "Now g-go get packed Nkomo." I run to my room without a word. I start to pull out my suitcase denying everything in going on in my head. All I can think is no I don't want to be a paper girl. But I guess I'm not alone, there will be other girls support. U start to realize all the details of home I'll miss. I'll miss the creaking of the stairs, the patters of rain on the roof, even the snoring of dean when he sleeps next to me in bed on stormy nights. I put my clothes in the suitcase, my hairbrush, and a few objects to remember home. A flower that I've been keeping since I was six, my grandmas mini mirror I hope she doesn't hate me for taking it. And finally I'm done packing and I come downstairs. My brothers sitting in a chair wondering what's going on. When he sees the tears on my cheeks he runs to me and hugs me. "What's wrong?" I look up at grandma and see the worry on her face. "Um dean, I-I have to go." "Go where?" "To the hidden palace." "Wow you get to see the hidden palace!" "Not only do I get to see it I have to live there, I've been selected to be one of the princes paper girls." "Then why were you crying?" "Because I'm gonna miss you and grandma." "Yeah but your coming back right?" "Yes dean-I'm coming back." Grandma nods at me for saying I was coming back it would make things easier if dean didn't know the truth. He's only six he doesn't need to know that his big sister isn't going to ever see him again. The soldier comes back in. "Ok it's time to go" I resist and I wave goodbye to grandma. As I take the last step out my door and the demon soldier closes it everything changes. The demon soldier yanks on my arms and shoves me into the carriage. "How long will it be until we get to the hidden palace?" "Three days." Great I have three days to escape.
