69 Chapter 69: Discussions

Arias remained silent for a while and looked at Queen Hippolyta with a smile before speaking.

"You say you came to appease me...yet you insult me further...•Sigh•... You must think I'm either stupid or Lust driven to agree to such conditions... Leave".

Queen Hippolyta expression grew dark, and she quickly tried to speak, but an aura suffocated her to the point she could not speak and blood began to trickle from her lip.

"Ari may tolerate your insult but speak one more time and I will end you...".

Queen Hippolyta looked at the source of lovely cold voice and saw Àpeiro seated casually with her usual stoic expression but the same deadly eyes.

Queen Hippolyta stood up and left while Arias then turned his attention to Maxima.

"I already know your goal is to seek a strong husband but what exactly would I gain from that. If my understanding is correct, although your people are strong. They are in decline."

Maxima looked down for a moment because she knew his words were on point.

"I cannot offer you anything you cannot take on your own. I can only give myself and my people's strength".

Arias stayed silent for a moment before speaking.

"Alright a portal shall be built to Almerac, and it will no longer be an empire but a province to mine and I'm sure you're aware that I'm busy so if I do give you children like you wish I may not be around as they grow. If you accept these conditions then you will be a member of my family and as for your role to me, you'll just have to prove yourself like everyone else."

"I will discuss your conditions with the council then return with a decision if that is fine with you?. Such a big change will evoke instability unless properly introduced".

Arias nodded as she too stood and left. Leaving Talia Al-Ghul.

"My father wants you to be his successor when he passes on and to continue ze League of Shadow's legacy with me at your side. He only asks that you visit every so often and protect us".

Talia didn't beat around the bush and spoke her intentions clearly.

Arias fell silent for a moment.

'It's actually less restrictive than I thought it would be'.

Arias then faced Talia.

"Tell your father I agree and ask how he feels about moving his mountain onto my Island. It will maintain its Geography surroundings, so you won't even notice difference".

Talia smiled and nodded.

"I will bring it up with him and communicate with a response soon".

And with that all the guests had left making Arias sigh loudly.

Arias looked around the table and noticed how everyone was quiet.

"Am I missing something here ?".

Àpeiro let out a smile and explained the events that occurred leaving Dr. Veritas and Harley keeping their heads down.

Arias walked over to them both and held them by their waists.

"If something is troubling you know you can always approach me, you don't always have to wait for me to visit you know or am I that scary?"

Dr. Veritas had a slight blush on her face as she answered.

"It isn't that it's just that we usually feel you have a lot going and also work hard, so you don't shoulder everything alone..."

Arias stroked Shay's hair slowly and responded.

"Try not thinking too much about things and just visit me or ask . Achieving a goal is important, but that doesn't mean I should not enjoy myself along the way, besides I have a responsibility to keep you happy remember..."

Arias teased making both blush as they remembered that night.

"Stealing my words and using them for your own right in front of me. Ari your shamelessness knows no bounds".

Arias smiled at her and spoke.

"Then it matches perfectly with your beauty".

Àpeiro went silent at his statement before commenting.

"Honeyed words...."

"Well since we know we won't be disturbing ya expect to see me soon Sir".

Harley spoke while hugging Arias tightly.

"Why do you call me Sir all the time?"

Arias asked with his head tilted.

"Because it makes me stand out".

Harley said while winking at Arias.

"Is that right? Well then I'll let you ladies get back to your routines I may just sleep after seeing the people in the lobby".

Arias said while yawning a bit.

Both women kissed his cheek and said goodnight to him.

"Raven there is something I wish to discuss with you soon perhaps tomorrow".

Arias spoke while looking at the hooded young woman who bowed and left.

'She's always meditating trying to control herself and the hold her father has on her...this problem needs to be nipped in bud but for now...'.

Arias's thoughts were interrupted by Àpeiro casually coming into his arms and snuggling her head into his chest.

"I'm giving you a quick embrace, so you do not miss me too much... I will be out with our runaway daughter fixing your lack of discipline".

Arias stroked her hair gently.

"Well it's nice to see you're bonding so well".

Soon Àpeiro reluctantly pulled away from Arias and vanished as if never there. Arias gestured to the two Tamarenean sisters who were oddly quiet since the lobby.

Arias soon walked into the lobby and found the group waiting for him.

Arias didn't bother with interactions at the moment and spoke directly about the matter he came for.

"Death Stroke and Ravager your conditions were easy enough to meet, so I welcome you to Leviathan."

"Miss snow so was request. You will work in Dr. Veritas lab with her and Harley at times and as for your source of heat. I will add a proper heat source in your quarters. As you prove your worth I'll increase its duration and intensity."

"Silver banshee... We will discuss how you wish to handle Crone another time."

"And Miss Ivy I will stabilize your condition as-well and your performance will dictate to what extent I do so and as for your lab request it's rejected. I do not need a specialist in botany sadly."

While the others were happy with his words Poison Ivy wasn't and tried to persuade Arias by leaning into his chest. But she did get the reaction she expected.

Arias gripped her by the throat tightly and began to choke her As he lifted her off the ground with his hand.

"Very daring of you to try and use your pheromone control on me. I noticed you leaked minuscule amounts, so I wouldn't be alerted. Let me make this very clear for anyone who doesn't know me well. I make my enemies suffer fates far worse than death. Oh? What's this ? Trying to control the plants?"

"They will never listen to you on this Island unless I deem it so. Even the whole planet if I wished, I highly doubt your control surpasses that of a goddess, don't know what exactly you hope to achieve but I suggest you be very careful as I do not give second chances...not easily anyway."

*bump*

Arias let her go, and she fell to the ground breathing heavily. He looked down at her.

"Instead of monthly your condition will be stabilized for a week".

"But a week is too small to prove my worth..."

Poison Ivy rubbed her neck as she spoke in a trembling tone.

"You'll live...as for your precious "children" who knows...."

Arias turned and before Poison Ivy could speak he vanished.

Deathstroke let out a laugh.

"He's just like the rumors say, you have to have some kind of death wish or are a masochist looking for good beat down to mess with me. But hey at least you're alive..."
