177 Chapter 164: A Menace To Soceity Part 4 ( R-18 )

An angry and confused group of feminine avengers stood before Arias who looked at them with smug expression.

Why did he do this? To demonstrate his power? To humiliate them? Or just for no reason at all?

They asked themselves this as they looked at him but said nothing. They were already very well aware he wasn't someone they could defeat as they were now.

Ironman or woman looked ready to approach him and speak but in that moment a ringing noise resounded from the ring on Arias's finger.

"Yes?" Aron tapped the ring with his thumb before speaking in an inquisitive tone.

"Arias, it's Shay. If you're not busy come see me at the lab, there's something of interest you should see." Dr. Veritas revealed in a formal tone and caught Arias's curiosity. "I'll be coming now, I'm not doing anything important."

He replied before cutting the call and vanishing from the scene in an instant, leaving the avengers in their unwanted forms without any parting words.

Arias's figure reappeared right beside Shay in the lab who was taken slightly aback by his sudden emergence and stumbled back. "…Oh it's you, could you please not randomly appear, it's very unnerving."

"So you don't like it when I visit?" He asked while looking down at her causing her to frown. "Don't misinterpret my words, I simply mean appearing out of thin air and… you're not even being serious are you?" She asked after feeling she was being teased which was hard for her to tell when Arias didn't shift his expressions much.

"You're a smart woman, guess. That aside what did you want to show me?" He replied vaguely before inquiring the reason she wanted to see him.

She could only narrow her eyes at him momentarily before bringing out her tablet and tapping on the screen. In the next moment a holographic screen appeared in the air in front of them showing a view of the planet from outer space.

At first glance it didn't look to be anything special until one looked closer. Only then could they see a projectile coming from the moon and heading towards the earth.

"A spaceship? What's odd about that, unless you've determined it to be a threat that requires my direct intervention." After seeing only this Arias couldn't understand what was so unique about it.

However Shay moved the image from the spaceship and to the moon instead. "Well of course that on it's own is nothing special but after following the path the airship took I found something interesting on the moon, an entire isolated city." She said with a small smirk but Arias still didn't look moved.

"You must be talking about New Attilan, the Inhuman's city, I'm surprised you've only learned of it's existence now." Arias replied with a brow raised.

"I see, well in my defense my sole focus has been on earth. Only now am I looking to scout what lays beyond, I'll just assume you know everything from here on out." She said in a rather dismissive tone, for her it was interesting to make new discoveries which she'd hoped to share with Arias but very little could surprise him.

"If you need to tell me something then there's no need to hold back, keep monitoring them and find out what they want on earth. I may need to pay them a visit soon enough, they are in my universe after all." Arias revealed with a grin and heavy arrogance which didn't go unnoticed to Shay.

"Seeking universal domination are we?" She asked with a smirk before he held her waist and pulled her closer. Her smirk was soon replaced with a flushed expression as his stern gaze was now focused on her. "Not in the least, what I'm doing is akin to pest control in one's backyard. I'll trust your lovely mind to take note of said pests that require… extermination. Okay?" He asked and only received a slow nod from Shay before vanishing once again.

He reappeared on the residential floor, in front of Gwen's front door and gave it a slight tap. Soon after it opened automatically and walked in only to find Gwen still in bed although dressed this time in a hoodie and some tight shorts.

"Still haven't left your room?" Arias asked upon entering with a brow raised in curiosity. In response she gave a slight nod while avoiding meeting his gaze. "Not like I had anything better to do. Have you finally decided to teach me?"

"Yes and no, it all depends on you really. I have the ability to make you more powerful than Miles right here and now but the question is why choose you over him? If his potential is higher then if I give it to him then I get a stronger individual." Arias showed a small smile as he made this revelation to Gwen, his words carried truth and thus she couldn't even immediately answer because even she could see the sense behind them.

Gwen bit her lip slightly while pondering as to why choose her before something clicked. "Miles wants to go back home as soon as possible to his family but I'm not like him, I've been dying to become independent for ages so even if you give me the power I'll remain and help the organization or whatever." She quickly brought up a good point but in the end Arias had numerous way to make them both stay if he so wished, this however was just the most direct approach that didn't require torture, mind control, blackmail or alteration of memories.

"Hmm, I'll start training you at intervals and see for myself if you have the ideal mentality for this organization. Then and only then will you gain the powers, for now why don't you go to the lounge. They'll be a meeting of great importance very soon." Aron said without revealing much before vanishing from the room.
