Chapter 2

It took Tessa midday to arrive in Chirene, she saw Kieffer in a distance waving her down. Tessa sighed shaking her head than Laila came out of nowhere saying,

"Princess, he isn't worth pleasing you're father, you must go back home."

Tessa stopped her horse when Laila stood against the horse and Tessa looked down replying,

"I can't disobey my father."

Laila scoffed responding,

"You are way better off being alone than dealing with asshole Prince's."

Tessa rolled her eyes replying,

"Laila, I don't know what you are doing here but I reject of you're impediment to meeting my future husband."

Laila back away than flew off not arguing with the Princess anymore. Tessa craved sleep more than anything she couldn't wait to see what her room held in Chirene. Kieffer cleared his throat saying,

"Princess Tessa Jones from Kingdom Evigon, what a pleasure to meet you."

Tessa climbed off her horse replying,

"Pleasure to meet you Prince Kieffer."

Kieffer placed a hand behind her back guiding her to his parent's even though she thought they would be in the Kingdom awaiting her arrival not meeting her outside in the blustery heat. They met them by the front door, she is grateful that a crowd wasn't outside. Queen Selena's voice rose saying,

"Welcome Princess Tessa to Chirene!"

Tessa bowed for both the King and Queen. They guided her inside, she saw a beautiful big castle from the unique flowers on the staircase they were graved into with vines. The entrance looked like a vintage household. Queen Selena held Tessa's hand saying,

"Princess, you will be staying in the East Wing of our Kingdom, we have set up room far enough away from Kieffer so you would have comfort and his younger siblings are in School but will be here for dinner. You two won't be having dinner with us since you're father wants you married to our son, you will be having dinner in the garden."

Tessa nodded replying,

"Yes, I will be glad to enjoy a wonderful dinner with Prince Kieffer this evening. I do need to rest though it has been a long travel from the other side of the Kingdom."

King Dillon gravely looked at Tessa saying,

"You are to become Queen here once you marry my son, understood?"

Tessa raised a brow replying,

"Woah ho ho, hold on, my father didn't tell me that is the deal."

King Dillon held her shoulders tight responding,

"You're father isn't in this deal, it is your decision to marry my son."

Tessa looked at Kieffer and Queen Selena with their hands folded across their chest than Tessa looked back at King Dillon replying,

"Let me sleep please and I will decide within a week after two days here."

King Dillon bowed responding,

"Yes Princess."

Tessa looked at Kieffer saying,

"Take me to my room, please."

Kieffer placed his hand out as Tessa took it that moment she didn't feel a thing between touching their hands together. Tessa released her hands from Kieffer turned him around and looked at him saying,

"I don't plan on marrying anyone, you understand?"

Kieffer whispered in return,

"I am gay anyways what would it matter. I am in love with a man that I have been friends with since my childhood days, so don't get all uppity with me."

Tessa backed away replying,

"Oh well good, I will go home in two days then and never see you again, not unless I am invited to your wedding."

Kieffer chuckled responding,

"Of course Princess, you are my bride to be in the near future."

That's when Tessa noticed his parent's listening in and their whispering had to stop. He finally got her to the East Wing as they quickly went their separate ways. Tessa shoved off all her clothes than relaxed in a soothing hot shower before going to bed, she needed to clean herself off from all the sweat that poured down her from riding on the horse. Soon as she finished washing up, she went to bed in a white cotton nightgown that had lace around the neck. As she drifted off to sleep that is when Laila appeared saying,

"I told you, you wouldn't marry that Prince or any of the Prince's in these Kingdom's. Come to Kingdom Ruitha and I will show you, what you really deserve."

Tessa woke up abruptly looking around the dark room huffing and puffing deep breaths, she knew Laila came around in person as a Angel but never in her dreams it had completely startled her. Laila came from the window saying,

"You really ought get out of here and come with me, this is not a joke. Kieffer is gay and a few others are bi and already have lovers. You're dad is wasting his breath on finding you a husband though he would have been smart to marry you off to Larkin but he's a dumbass what can I say."

Tessa scrunched up the sheets with fury replying,

"Do you have anything else to do besides pestering me about these men?"

Laila chuckled responding,

"You are in for a roller coaster Princess that is all I got to say."

Tessa rolled her eyes replying,

"I will be going home soon enough not like I want to be Queen right away anyhow."

Laila laughed out loud responding,

"In my Kingdom, we are allowed to make choices not have daddy make it for us."

Tessa sighed heavily replying,

"You would have all the charm in the world, you are a Angel."

Laila shrugged her shoulder's responding,

"You don't know my whole history Miss Gothic Princess of Evigon."

Tessa shook her head no back and forth replying,

"Gothic Princess, seriously? I am Princess Tessa Jones."

Laila laughed out loud even more responding,

"You are and always will be a Gothic Princess because you're parents will hate you along with everyone else in Evigon because you became the darkest ruler of the Kingdom's."

Tessa raised a brow replying,

"I don't have to marry and my parent's treasure me, why would they hate me for being dark? Why would everyone in Evigon want a dark ruler?"

Laila chuckled than lightly touched Tessa's cheek responding,

"You will see in time. I must go again, see you in you're dreams."

Tessa couldn't understand no one hated her even when she wore black and Larkin always adored her style. Could this be why her father wants to marry her off to another man so he wouldn't have to keep buying her dark clothing that she loved.

Tessa packed her bags and left quickly to head home with her guards as they gave her a nasty look knowing they didn't have time to rest more. She went in her nightgown not caring about returning it to the Kingdom all she wanted to do was get away from Chirene.
