1 Chapter 1: Lucion Lannister of Casterly Rock

(Casterly Rock)

--------------------------------

(Year 266 AC)

--------------------------------

For three years, Lucion Lannister had lived as Heir apparent of the Westerlands. In those three years Lucion knew that his best chance being able to make his name was to utilize his Meta-Knowledge and to also use his knowledge of the real word technologies to his advantage. To start with he would mentally compile a list of the buildings in Crusader King's 2. From there he would have to calculate which buildings could be adapted and utilized best. The CK2 building lists were a base template, nothing more.

One thing he wanted to be sure of is that he was going to absolutely build new castles, new cities, and Septs within the West, he'll be placing a premium on defense. So, Walls, Fortifications, Watchtowers, Forts, and of course roads. But he'll also be focusing on the building up of the Economy.

Mining was not sustainable as the mines would eventually run dry. This meant that steps needed to be taken, so Farming, Animal Husbandry, and Fishing were an important alternative.

How the Septs, Cities, and Castles were designed and built would also affect the construction.

As soon as he was able to, he'd try and make Castamere his testing ground. Starting there he'd rebuild Tarbeck Hall as well, and he'd make The Westerlings, his Bannerman. He'd also try and make The Lordsip of Castamere and it's banners the traditional designated title of the Heir of Casterly Rock.

But of course, before he could do anything he had to soak up information, and prepare himself mentally, physically and politically.

And his best order of activity was to follow CK2 logic until he entered the Game of Thrones. After that, what was a game became real, and the stakes were too important and too high to be seen as anything less than real.

--------------------------------

(POV Shift: Tywin Lannister)

--------------------------------

In his arms Tywin held his second son and Joanna held his second child and first daughter.

Tywin and Joanna had agreed months prior that if a Girl was born, she would be named Cersei and if a Son was Born his name would be Jaime. The Gods had smiled on them and given them twins.

If Lucion proved incapable, then Jaime would succeed him as the Lord of Casterly Rock.

Hmm...

Now that He thought about it, Lucion was not like most three-year Olds, oh he acted like one, but in his eyes, Tywin was able to clearly recognize a Cunning and Intelligence behind the boy's eyes.

Tywin would need to begin keeping an especially extra close eye on the lad as he grew up...or rather he'd have to rely on Joanna. He was only allowed to spend so long away from court. Aerys at least was kind enough to have given him leave to stay as long as needed, but Tywin knew that he only had so long before things started happening.

Factions and Alliances within the court  changed by the hour, and Tywin didn't trust many beyond Lord-Commander Hightower. The White Bull and him weren't friends, but they both desired nothing more than to protect Awrys from lickspittles and sycophants. Thus an agreement was reached between them.

Protect the Loyalist Faction from bloodsucking leeches like that, and limit their access to the King or Crown Prince.

But even qs the Lord-Commander of the Kingsguard, Gerold Hightower had limited power compared to him. He had maybe a few weeks before a return to court was necessary.

Thus requiring him to entrust the watching of Lucion to Joanna, Kevan, and whomever they would trust.

But first he wanted Lucion to meet his new twin siblings....

--------------------------------

(POV Shift: Joanna Lannister)

--------------------------------

It hadn't been an easy birth, but Joanna was delighted with the twins. She knew at once that the two would rise to great heights, not quite as great as Lucion perhaps, but as a Mother she knew where her children would stand someday.

If all went well Cersei would be Queen Someday, and Lucion would be The Hand. Jaime would be a Great Knight. She felt this was meant to come to pass, but she couldn't shake the feeling of something turning those outcomes on their heads and being lopped off.

A Lioness fears nothing except her cubs safety, but Joanna would be lying if she said she didn't slightly fear that intelligence in Lucion's eyes, it reminded her all too well of Tywin at his worst during the Reyne-Tarbeck Rebellion.

Lucion had been conceived during the Rebellion, and was born shortly after their wedding a half a year later.

''Creylen? How is Lucion?'' Joanna asks the Maester of Casterly Rock.

''More focused if such a thing is possible. I've corresponded with Archmaester Ebrose and he agrees with my assessment. Young Lord Lucion has been blessed by the Seven. A Child with his quickness of wit qnd strength of body hasn't been seen in centuries. If he wasn't Heir to the Rock he'd have the potential for a Archmaester among Archmaesters.'' Says Creylen.

''Good, please pass this on to Tywin.'' Joanna instructs.

''I am concerned however my lady.'' Creylen says.

''How so?'' Joanna is immediately worried.

''His mind is maturing at an alarmingly quick rate, his ability to comprehend and Interact is not necessarily a bad thing. But the rate of this development is another matter.  I fear for his minds health if his body cannot Kew up with it.''

''What do you recommend?'' Asks Joanna.

''Increase his free time, but under the supervision of Lord Gerion. His ability to snap Lucion from a daze of extended thought for an extended period may prove a healthy fix to any danger. I'd prefer not to introduce Milk of the Poppy to one as young as him. It would have little affect and the risks of addiction to one so young are extremely high.'' Creylen advises.

''See it done.'' Joanna instructs before yawning as she begins to grown sleepy.

''Rest my Lady, you'll need your sleep and your strength. I'll inform Lord Kevan of the need for someone else to take on your duties for the time being.'' Creylen says gently.

--------------------------------

(POV Shift: Brynden Rivers)

--------------------------------

''There has been a new Greenseer ad Warg born.'' Brynden spoke.

''Where?'' Twig asked.

''In the Westerlands. I can't locate them, but when the bond with an Animal I will know who and where they are.'' Brynden says.

''The last Warg of The West had been Mors Westford, perhaps reaching out in his dreams would provide us some insights?'' Leaf suggests.

''Doubtful, but it's worth a try I suppose...'' Says Brynden as his eyes flash white and he sends forth his Crow's to search while also reaching out to Mors Westford.

A Warg behind The Wall was an important moment. But a Greenseer that was born not in the North or within the swampy Neck and in The West required attention from Bloodraven as it was simply and unmistakably an unprecedented event.....
