Should we stay in Essos for the time being, or should we introduce some Westerosi politics?

Right now I'm on a collision course with a certain family. I can grow branches or I can cut off the connection until a later date. I won't tell you which family/ies. Just need some feedback to finish the next few chapters.

P.S Daenerys Targaryen and her brother do not count as Westrosi politics. They have no serious foothold in the current Westeros though they are connected.
